yeah it is pulling a play outta apples book, since apple did do it first, where the top lights up so that you remember you are on a call.
The nice thing about the thunderbolt is if you are in 4G/LTE coverage you can go browse the web, check e-mail, etc, while on a phone call. That is why this feature exists would be my guess. It is why the iphone does it.
The thunderbolt will allow you to browse the web and use data on a call while on cdma 3G coverage as well. Been playing with that today.

Probably the connection is still active. I don't think its a bug.
Is the bar supposed to turn green for the entire call? Im not talking about seeing an icon in the pull down menu im talking about the bar with the signal strength and gps and all the icons, that bar turns green for a split second when i end a call
Sent from my PG86100 using Tapatalk
Yea its a new feature in sense 3.0 the notification bar pulses green during a call, it might blink again after you hung up because the connection still may be active or it will still blink until the cycle is over.

Do you just not read what people are telling you in the responses or don't believe them? It's not a bug. It's a feature, next time your on a call, hit the home key and watch the notification bar, it flashes green if your on a different screen besides the phone dialer to let you know you have a connected call.
You may want to return it and get a dumbphone.
IM SORRY I MISUNDERSTOOD

Actually, if you ever ran the Desire ports on the 4G it did this also. So its been a feature since Sense 2.+.
@Cody:You need to stop opening threads every time you have an idea. You invite it upon yourself.
yes it is a green bug.
haha jeeze man you just looking for a reason to return it? jk, but yeah its supposed to do that, noticed my buddies droid x do that too the other day.

Same here. It's as though the Atrix isn't put in "speakerphone" mode. When I make an audio call and hold the phone to my ear and speak directly into the mic, my voice comes through clear. When I make a video call and hold the phone away from my face, my voice can't be hears at all.
FWIW I'm running the CM7 beta.

I got this when it just came out, but throughout today, skype keeps on getting killed or the service anyway, and it gets glitchy.
why won't it stay logged in? Anyone experiencing this? I have like 400MB RAM left all the time, why would it need to be killed?

Do you have an app that Auto- Kills apps running for a long time? If so add Skype to the exception list. these things can happen with like Skype, Facebook apps and such because they always run in the background in order for you to get notifications if someone is one or messages you or something.
Absolutely no problems for me.
I was so surprised when I saw the video call option when I updated yesterday... I thought I'd never see this day... lol

I have no task killer
This is a rotating led charm that notifies you if you have a call. http://www.thinkgeek.com/gadgets/cellphone/a150/
It says only works with GSM networks but I was wondering if there's anyway to get it to work with the CDMA DROID razr.
Sent from my DROID RAZR using xda premium
Sure, it's possible. Cell phone charms that light up and move are made for both GSM and for CDMA phones. You could buy a CDMA one (http://www.x-tremegeek.com/cell-phone-accessories/cell-phone-charms.html) for example. If you were any good with electronics, you could rig the circuit to make the motion work using the new CDMA charm's guts.
The question is, do you want to? These charms worked well with "dumb phones" years ago, since the phone only radiated when receiving a call. With modern smartphones, I found there are way too many annoying "false" signals caused by data access. When I was on T-Mobile, I used a TARDIS that sits about 4" high on my desk. It's GSM as well (most of the world). It makes the dematerialization sound and flashes the light on top. But like I said, when I made the transition to the smartphone world, it became way too annoying to leave on. It certainly didn't give any *meaningful* noises.
Thanks. I guess i won't be getting one haha. Now it'd be cool to make one that would only work when you got a text or call like through Bluetooth. I guess these charms are a thing of the past.

looking for an app that will alert up to 4 people and give off a loud audio two tone alert sound so someone could hear and find you if you fall / get shot / or incapacitated and cant call out. there are apps on the market but without the two tone alert built in.
haven't really looked into apps like that. possibly because i don't plan on getting shot...

There was one like this couple years ago when you get into a car crash sends out a SOS to a selective person. Fun till a little one at 2am wants to set it off and has it send to that person and they begin to freak out because you not picking up phone because you are asleep. Or that said person plays with the ringer to turn it off...

So I just got off the phone with my girlfriend, I'm hitting the hay early tonight, waiting for her to get home and she just called me so I put it on speaker.
Then I noticed there is a faint little red LED on the left side of the phone right above the screen, it went away when the call ended but I never noticed it before.
I know the OG EVO 4G had 2 LEDs, CM made the second one useful, but idk about the 3d or other evo phones.
I should note i am in a pitch black room and this led is about 1/3 of the size of the notification led. Also is extremely dim, almost looks like a red circle.
Kind of cool
Wondering if anyone else has noticed it
