Installed Void #echo mod... I miss my Live Wallpapers - Optimus One, P500, V General

Hi all,
I got my LG Optimus One P500 yesterday in India fpr 10k Rupees (220 USD). I had waited a long time for this day...
The first thing I wanted to do was to install a custom ROM and overclock my phone. I was successful in doing that, thanks to this awesome forum.
I have now installed Void #echo and OCed it to 729 MHz.
My benchmark scores are
Pre-Modding Stock LG Froyo 2.2.1
Linpack- 7.425 MFlops
Quadrant – 463 – Above Xperia X10, Below HTC Desire
Neocore – 31.8 FPS
BenchmarkPi – 2916 milliseconds
After Void Echo OCed to 729 MHz Froyo 2.2
Linpack - 8.9 MFlops
Quadrant – 555 – Above HTC Desire and Nexus One, below Samsung Galaxy S
Neocore – 51.3 FPS
BenchmarkPi – 2230 milliseconds
But I have a small problem... No Live Wallpapers...
Can anyone please help me in getting back Live wallpapers? Please...

I have already created gapps folder in void/settings but it remains empty...
I found a patch "void sapps".
I am going to test it now... if it doesn't work or messes something, nandroid restore...
Cheers!
EDIT: It worked!
Cheers!

You flash it like you flashed void. The problem is all the deleted system apps will come back and really defeats the purpose of void.
There is a solution.
Noejn posted this. Thread #4 first page of void rom.
1. Grab the sapps/gapps package
2. Extract it
3. Go to the extracted folder "/system/app/" and delete the applications you don't want to flash
4. Use the above program (zipsigner) to create a CROM.zip, put the extracted files there so you have 2 folders on the root of the zip: META-INF and SYSTEM. Then sign it and it should create a CROM-s.zip.
5. Rename the CROM-s.zip to MySapps.zip, put it in sdcard and flash.
Check for the zipsigner link above the instructions. You will need LiveWallpapers.apk, LiveWallpapersPicker.apk and MagicSmokeWallpapers.apk i guess.

download the attached file and follow the instructions in text document under the archieve

Here is flashable zip file, that enables Live Wallpaper on LG P500 Optimus One with Void rom. The installation is same as Void - copy on your SD, turn off your phone, hold home + volume down and press and hold power button. Then select flash this zip file and reboot.
Thanx r291 for your guide.

Ok, i am now using live wallpapers on void rom, but:
Most of android market live wallpapers (galaxies, blue sky...) slowed down aplication drawer from LauncherPro. Launching of app drawer is not smooth anymore and scrolling too. Starfield and neuron network from Nexus are ok, but the rest is unuseable.
Sorry for my english

[Q]Help with GingerBlur v2.0 text messaging program[Fixed]

Hey all i just wanted to ask is there any way 2 get the old text messaging program back instead of the one thats installed with this one i liked the stock Antrix one. And i know before u could say yes or no to install it but he changed the install methed and could not do that no more so if any one could help me please do so thanks <3
Well i fixed it i found this
jeffc said:
For those like me who need corporate sync and like the blur universal inbox you can install just that portion of the moto bloatware instead of all of it.
** EDIT ** I'm adding a couple more applications now. Please, others jump in to do other applications because I'm out of time working on my Atrix for this week!
** WARNING ** I'm not an android dev and this process has only been tested on my phone. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!
There are 3 files attached.
messaging.zip - restores original blur messagine apps, including corporate sync, txt messaging with balloon conversation mode, and the universal inbox. It does not have the messaging widget.
taskman.zip - if you liked moto's Task Manager app, this will restore it for you so you can kill tasks and uninstall like before GB.
gallery.zip - restores the moto Medial Gallery application. Note the GB version of Gallery will still exist and both will work.
Quick instructions:
* You will need CWM Recovery for this
* Follow CWM instructions exactly - especially the part about plugging into the AC adapter or it won't work!
**NOTE** this will also install the original blur txt messaging interface with the conversation balloon mode. Its all one application so no way around it that I know of.
1) copy one of the zip files (attached) to your sdcard root directory
2) run CWM according to instructions in its thread
3) after reboot into CWM select "Install zip from SDCARD"
4) select "Choose zip from internal sdcard"
5) scroll down to the zip file name (ex: messaging.zip)
6) select the file (power button) and run the update
7) go back to main menu and select "Reboot system now"
A few steps but doesn't take long. I just pulled these out of the gingerblur-bloatware.zip and figured out what file structure you have to leave in place for it to function.
Hope this will save people some time.

I think there's a bloatware restorer on the greyblur site. Try that.
Will that install it all back tho or will i be able to pic
well ill look at it and see if it can do only one thing
thanks i forgot about that
Alright so i found them in the files there how do i delete the new one and get this old one back on there? im so confused help!
Still have not figured it out some one help?
http://www.droidxforums.com/forum/d...-reinstall-deleted-system-apps-bloatware.html
That thread helped me how 2 install the files but i cant install them it tells me
Application not installed any clue how 2 fix this and remove the old one some thing? any one?
You need to download the messaging bloatware zip, reboot into recoverymode and use CWM to install that zip file... It's the same process as installing grey/gingerblur.
Well if i new where the messaging bloatware zip was i would try 2 get that
i know they have the full one with everything but is there one with only the messaging part? or some thing like that?
Well i tryed 2 just install the messager part and i soft bricked my phone just fixed that but still dont have the old messaging system
Go to the android development section and find the gingerblur thread (it shouldn't be difficult). Then go to the gingerblur website given in the thread and download the bloatware.zip. you will also need tenfars cwm recovery which is in the development section also. Then just flash the zip file using the cwm recovery guide. Make sure your phone is plugged into a wall outlet charger when you do this (not a computer USB port) or it won't work.

Never checked, I remove that and use the HTC keyboard, which is ~4MB.
Anyway, looks like the Enter key is back, which is a progressive step as far as I am concerned because I can't do without it, even is SMS'es.
EDIT: Or maybe not? That's the XDA App.

Sorry to disturb you, but i have a question.
Is it possible to winzippah this keyboard to a 2.2.1 (jokerdroid) or 2.3.x (cyanogenmod 7.x) based rom, so i must not install it later?
(What I mean, install a new rom, and it is allready in it?)
If so, can i also winzip (winrar, 7-Zip) the keyboard language settings (german) to the rom?
Thanks, you are all awesome.
This is working great on my T-Mobile G2!!
Thanx!

Remove the existing LatinIME.apk from the ROM, rename this keyboard to LatinIME.apk, and, it should work (Don't unzip the ROM. Perform this with the "zipped" archive). Also, While I am not sure for the language settings, it should work, since the stock Gingerbread keyboard also includes all language settings.

Bootanimation File

Hey, i jz download a bootanimation, it was not a flashable, it jx replace the animation file, it say paste it in "system/media" anyone know where can i fjnd the system file/?
Sent from my X10i using xda premium
Where?
You may use RootExplorer or ROMtoolbox's root browser to browse your system location. If i'm not mistaken, bootanimation.zip will be located at
system>media>bootanimation.zip
Please note that the content of bootanimation.zip you planning to replace, is similar format/contents as in the ROM's bootanimation.zip. Even in same zip format, but Replacing different contents like subfolders/path contents, may lead phone failed to boot. Please bear in your mind You may need to find developers of those bootanimation collection and ask them whether works in what kind of ROMs. Hope helps.
for knowing how to make bootanimation.zip and its details, visit this http://www.addictivetips.com/mobile/how-to-change-customize-create-android-boot-animation-guide/ works almost every rooted device

ANYWAAAY , can i backup it the file or can backup with xRec?
Sent from my X10i using xda premium
There are few methods
There are few ways:
1)For Xrecovery, you can. It will also backup all user's and system data (Memory size depends how many apps/things you put) for ROM you're currently using, Boot animation.zip is included. All will be compressed in Nandroid Format. But i dunno but some restored X10 seems lag abit. So reflash the ROM.zip normally recommended.
2)[PROJECT IN COMPUTER]You can first unzip the custom ROM.zip using 7Zip File manager. It will make you same folder but not zipped. Make sure you keep too Original ROM Zip file (so you can reflash it in case something goes wrong).
Then, Copy and paste your desired bootanimation.zip and replace it under folders System>Media>Bootanimation zip.
Most animations will work for stock roms Then, rezip all necessary folders under .zip format to make your flashable ROM.zip, but customised bootanimation.zip PS: Double check the customised zip's path whether similar to previous one alright .
Then Place it inside your SD card.
Next, go XRecovery mode and flash the zip using install custom zip from SD Card. Process completed with word "Installation Completed". Reboot your Phone. If got your bootanimation and homescreen reached, means Successful Even if you failed, just get back to Xrecovery and reflash original ROM that you used before. No Harm Hope helps.
3)[THEORY] Replace the bootanimation.zip under system/media/bootanimation.zip using ROMtoolbox. Then restart phone. Result:UNKNOWN xP

[CM9 ONLY](FIX) Phone.apk FC

Hi all... Just want to share.. Sorry if everyone already knows it..
When you change the dpi to other than 160, the most notable problem are the fc when you made/recieve call..
So, i look into other phone forums and found the solution. One of them are;
HERE
The file (Phone.apk) are attached or you can get from the thread as well.
I've tested and confirm working (dpi 140 as thats the dpi i wish for, not too small as 120). Not tested on other dpi other than that. Appreciate if you all can give feedback either it is working or not if you set dpi to other than what i've tested (140) for my/other members references.
How to apply:
1. Download the Phone.apk (from attachment or from the other thread above)
2. Copy to your sdcard (Skip this if you use adb)
3. copy to /system/app/
4. change permission to rw-r--r--
5. delete Phone.odex (Don't forget this step)
6. Reboot
Now you can apply cm9 HDPI themes and continue using it without the needs to change dpi back to 160!
I don't think I'll need this just now, but just acknowledge your effort

Thanks!

HI! I want to ask something that maybe will sound stupid, in what folder is the phone.odex app? Because i can not fix the problem using the =/Vex paranoid rom... I used root explorer to search on "system/" folder.

That ROM is already de-odex so there will be no Phone.odex in that folder, i might need to add that portion into the instruction; Skip step 6 if your ROM is deodexed)
You might need to clear dalvik-cache after replacing the file. reboot into cwm, advance, wipe dalvik-cache
Thanks man it really worked what a relief.

[bootanimation][especial] streak's dell to new dell logo !!!

READ CAREFULLY....
as we are getting new updates from our devs...thanks to them to make streak alive...
so i thought why not getting a new bootanimation for our streaker's with new roms...
i was really sick with the old dell animation and different boot screens as everyone know
our streak must be booted once or twice a week as we are all on custom 'alpha, beta, gamma' -_- roms
so i decided to work specially on transforming an old dell logo into a new dell logo and
YES you will here an audio while booting.
GIF ANIMATION:
http://www.4shared.com/photo/1FSBEv4-/MH_dell_HD_1.html
YOUTUBE:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n5xVg9yZwmU
READ CAREFULLY....
Installation Instructions:
1st method (streakmod recovery):
1. Download the madbootanimation.zip file (anywhere) in SdCard.
2. Battery must be above 60% or 70%.
3. Reboot into streakmod recovery and select update.zip and follow the path where you downloaded the madbootanimation.zip and select.
4. Read the process step by step.
5. Done! now reboot.
2nd method (root explorer):
1. Device must be rooted.
2. Find any root explorer and install.
3. Enable root permissions.
4. Download two files in SdCard
5. Copy and follow the path system/media/"..." overwrite files.
6. Done! now reboot.
NOTE:
Plz read carefully as you are doing this at your own risk if you want to blame me you are always welcome !!!
If you want to backup your current bootanimation file then simply rename or copy somewhere else.
Don't do reboots just to see the bootanimation as reboots effects battery life so i made a gif animation and to hear with audio, a youtube link is uploaded.
Two flashable files(madbootanimation1.zip and madbootanimation2.zip) (streakmod recovery) and two files (bootanimation.zip and android_audio.mp3) (root explorer) are provided in below links.
Why Two flashable files, well first is for the good guys who THANKS and second for bad guys who don't THANK me, both files are same but installs a different way one installs fast and other slow, dont panic while installation, let it complete nothing will harm or happen to you or to your device
Hit my thanks meter and enjoy
All flashable files resides in 'system/media/"...." only'.
For different roms who have different places like data/local/"...." select the 2nd method of installation process.
Full animation preview may differ on different roms depending upon time of booting to lockscreen.
Follow all the steps carefully as we are all not PROFESSIONALS.

But I don't have a login for 4shared and don't want to have to sign up for anything... can you throw the rest of us a bone here? seriously.
I do have to say the boot anim looks really nice, great job!

Thanks for this! Just installed but animation plays in portrait not landscape like the video. Also, no sound. Running stock deodexed 407 & Phoenix U11 kernel.
I have same problem
Wicked bootanimation!
Works in landscape for me, the only prob I have is the audio isn't working.
I'm using miui.
Do I need to put the audio in a different folder?
Thanks for this great work!

boot audio enabler...
mayb this should help to enable boot audio and is for root explorer method...'download attachment files and rename to remove .txt' or else it wont work.
TRY THIS:

OR THIS:
1.Add/Replace: bootanimation file to / system/bin from below.
2.Add: bootsound file to /system/bin.
3.Add: android_audio.mp3 to /data/ local from above.
4.Edit: build.prop file in /system
Add these lines to build.prop
ro.config.play.bootsound=1

Click to collapse
5.Edit: init.local.rc file in /system/etc

updated to support more roms, if commented in details to which roms its working or not can help me alot...:good:
I can tell you that the boot audio will only work on Longhorn and Miui(if you change the file name and place of file) currently. The boot animation should work on any ROM. To change portrait to landscape and vice versa, simply swap the dimensions in the txt file. CM7 and Miui have the screens rotated 90 more degrees than DSC and stock ROMs, so there is that challenge.
thanx for sharing d info
