I was wondering whether the i9000 custom roms based on gingerbread (JVK or when official ones come out) can be ported to vibrant? Or would we have to wait for official vibrant gingerbread firmware to get our custom roms?

Froyo 2.2 with Steve's custom kernel on Galaxy player 4.0

I originally had Froyo 2.2 on my Samsung Galaxy S wifi 4.0 then I flashed it with Steve's custom kernel using Odin. However after flashing the device it went on a boot loop so to fix it I had to flash with GingerBread 2.3 ROM that Steve had provided. However I would like to go back to Froyo 2.2. Is it possible to use Steve's custom kernel with Froyo 2.2?
Please advise

[Q] Flash to JB from Froyo

I haven't messed around my Vibrant for ages. It's unlocked and rooted, but still running Froyo (ROM: Bi-Winning V2). Is there a simple way I can directly jump from Froyo to Jelly Bean? What custom ROM and kernel do you recommend? What recovery method should I use? Thanks in advance!
