I used the one click root for my Fascinate and it flashed the CWM 3008. When i look in ROM Manager it says i have it flashed but i cannot access the recovery menu. I go to the samsung recovery and select apply sdcard:update.zip and it says "signature verification failed, installation aborted". Ive tried re-flashing it using Odin and it says PASS but still no result. Ive also tried flashing a different CWM from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=942021 but i am unable to download from the link provided. Can somebody please help me? Thanks in advance!

Hi pplz,
I just recently bought the Rom Manager Premium as I want to upgrade to CM7 because it has the right bluetooth protocols so I can connect my PS3 controller to my phone.
However whenever I try and flash using Rom Manager when it gets into recovery I get this error
E:signature verification failed
and I can't for the life of me get around it. I have since managed to flash the rom manually but still would like to know why this app which cost me $6 doesn't work.

Hi,
You said that you want to flash cm7.On what rom are you now and what kernel are you using?Did you read the instructions in q&a thread of cm7?

Ur phone is not rooted correctly I think....check it once
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda premium
In order to flash CM7 you need to have the relevant CF-Root Kernel installed specific to your firmware, then go into ROM Manager Premium, press "Flash Clockword Recovery Mod" then select "Samsung Galaxy S 2"
THEN flash CM7, it's all there in the Q&A Thread.
I don't think it is the rooting problem.
Rom Manager's CWM installation doesn't work on SGS2.
You may have to install CWM for SGS2.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1118693
Instructions in q&a thread for cm7 are crystal clear.no cf kernel, just cwm kernel from codeworkx and flash the latest nightly from recovery after doing clear cache+factory reset

Rom Manager doesn't work on SGS2.
It even doesn't work on GB roms on SGS1.
You need to install a custom kernel like CF-Root
Sorry for the lack of info. I was on RevolutionRom 2.6 using ninph 2.02.
I managed to flash CM7 ver 38 and then once that was up and running I could use the rom manager to go to 39 which worked fine.
Thanks for the help guys.
Anyone know a link that shows what currently is/isn't working in CM7 I don't think my 3G data was working last night when I was looking at it.
Cheers.

Hi!
The message error that you got can be solved by disabling the signature verification.
Just boot into Recovery mode, click on "Install ZIP from sdcard", and you'll find the the option to toggle this option.

Isn't there an FAQ entry for something like "Rom Manager DOES NOT work with the Galaxy S II!"
If not, I'd like to nominate this as an entry.

Hello and sorry to post this problem here as i have the tmobile note but i used the att i717 rooting method from rootgalaxynote.com ofcourse did not use an att based rom but a tmobile one( cm10.1 rc2) . The problem is after clearing everything i then proceed to install the new rom using cwm and it says "install aborted" error section 7 ive tried it a few times cleared everything again and still nothing. Dont know if i need to update cwm and if so how vers.5.0.5 or something like that or is it the build which is the lates update by tmo uvlma1 and the instructions were from may of 2012. Please help i have gone back to stock for now as i did backup first. Ps i have installed titanium backup pro and and superuser and have even frozen some of the bloatware from tmo so im guessing i am rooted. Please help as the tmo threads are dead and no help from no one!! Thanks a bunch guys
Just update your recovery dude.
Twrp is superior to cwm imo anyway.
This has been discussed many times. Since you are coming from T-Mobile forum here is a link which was recently discussed. Staus 7 means you need to upgrade your recovery.

You did not check the link and you ignored the other users recommendation.
Recovery from rom manager will not work. Twrp recovery is good for our devicw. Flash twrp and you will be ok. Follow the instruction from link provided

Your phone will stay in download mode to flash a recovery.
Once flashed boot into that every and flash a Rom within.
Put your phone to download mode. Make sure you have drivers installed. Open odin(i used v1.85). Put the twrp recovery tar file in to pda slot. Conect your phone to your computer in download mode. Once odin finds your device then press start.

Kindly help me with a solution or a link to the correct cyanogenmod rom package. Thank you. Looking forward to an earlier response
1) This isn't urgent. We get people 'crying wolf' on here all the time. Having a thread title like this is a good way to have people ignore your thread.
2) Also, using a title like [URGENT] HELP please !!! is another good way to have people ignore your thread. If you want help, you need to use a descriptive thread title
3) Unless you use sentencing/paragraphing, your OP is impossible to read. I certainly didn't read past the first line & many other people here won't unless you fix it.

In recovery mode odin does not detect my phone but in boot screen, where the phone is stuck, it detects. So the flashing process failed stating couldnt open COM port.
What should i do to make my phone get detected in the recovery mode via odin? I had installed clock work mod recovery manually.
Thank you vry much.

Hello,
Yesterday, when trying to create a backup of my current ROM (original, factory ROM) it seems that after the backup process was finished, when I tried to reboot my phone it would go directly into cwm recovery instead of starting up normally. This happens every time I try to reboot the phone. I have a Samsung Exhibit sgh-t599n (metro pcs).
Other things that may be revelant to my problem: the backup was not successful (there was a message saying something about an image not being copied). Also, in the cwm recovery menu there is a warning that says "No file_contexts".
I would appreciate any help you could give me.
Thank you

Okay so you do know how to get into Odin. Try flashing a different custom recovery. Also make sure the one you are using is made for your device. There aren't any recoveries that are universal with 1 file. Just make sure the one you are using is for your phone!

I don't do much with odin since i dont ever have any issues with my recovery but all you should have to do is install the recovery just like you did the first time. Also if you are following a guide to do this make sure you are checking the right options!

I was able to find these instructions (thanks to thereal_big jake from androidarea51.com) for solving a problem very similar to mine:

2. Factory Reset in Stock Recovery
3. Flash CWM in Odin
4. Now Flash your Rom or Backup
5. Reboot
Could somebody explain how to flash the stock recovery with odin in my phone (samsung exhibit sgh t599n).

Try to flash TWRP using Odin or download a recovery flashing compatible file for TWRP and flash it using your current CWM. Or just try PhilZ

Download CM again or simply from another source and before you transfer the .zip file to your phone, compare the MD5 of both files to check if the download was successful.
