This is my first post, and I am desperate to get some help.
I was trying to update my LG software from V10B to V10C using KDZ Updater and everthing was going fine, when it came with an error and my phone got stuck in emergency mode. So I tried to remove the battery and try restarting, but the phone seems dead. It does not respond to Power Button. I tried HOME or BACKSPACE+VOLUME UP or VOLUME DOWN+POWER Button, but it does not start.
Please Help.... I am desperate, just bought it 3 days ago.....Please......!!!!!

try to flash simply when is off...if the error not showed up at start then the bootloader was flashed beacuse is the first thing that kdz flash but it need kdz to launch so try to flash with the phone off...try all the modes (diag emergency cs_emergency)!
Thanks lupohirp..... Did try the method you suggested, but no go.
Just sometime back I took it to the nearest LG service center, and they tried to read ,the phone using their tools, they checked the motherboard and found that it is not reading or bricked. Either motherboard will be changed or will provide new device. Will need to wait till tomorrow. LG has to approve the new device

ok. i;ve done it.
i tried to install v10c europe unbranded and kdz updater gave me a param error and now my phone is completly dead. it doesnt start at all.
can i recover it somehow?
kdz updater doesn't see it any longer.
Does it show anything at all. Does the screen display the LG or android logo?
Try the hard reset. Press Vol down+Home+PowerButton till you see the LG logo come up. If things are fine then the phone should reset itself to original state.

BTW, did you again flash in CDMA and DIAG mode?

Pretty strange that nothing comes up.
Just to experiment, when you plug in the charger (AC) does the phone begin to charge (do you seen the battery indicator come up).
And hopefully someone more experience will turn up and help you. I really don't have much idea...

Remove battery and leave it few hours without it. After that run KDZ_UPD, configure (i think 3gs, diag, select FW - look on some how-to) without battery plug USB and press vol down+home and power on and still hold untill recovery appear. Then still try connect via KDZ.

Is it start? Or if you press power button, is something happened or dipslay of phone is just black? If so, then probably nothing will help and you will have to send it to warranty service.
absolutly nothing happens. no power at all. not even when i plug in the charger.
will lg fix it for me? it was bought on 15 december this year, it has 3 days.
can they see that i have tried to flash another rom?
well that is why I don't play around with the kdz updater.
everyone ends up with their phone bricked at some point.
Try to get in emergency mode back+up volume+power.
Tell me if it works.

I had same problem with mine P500.I was tried to update to v10d something went wrong I got some errors and after few more tries my phone was completely dead.I was lucky and my phone was changed by operator.
I did some research before carrying it back to operator and it seems that the only way to resurrect phone is JTAG.But how to do it i have no idea if it can be done at all.

Since you were flashing with original LG firmware, they shouldn't raise much issue. Just don't tell them that you used the KDZ updater....
BTW did you try the CS_Emergency under Phone Mode in the KDZ updater.
also dont give them the guilty look
the phone is completly dead, not detected by computer, even when i plug it in without battery holding vol up+back. NOTHING.
i think i will not have a problem at warranty because i think that the mb is surged, they dont have how to see that i have flashed, an official rom after all.
now, shoul i take it to lg? or to the retail store?
Ok well, after succesfully installing the original 2.2.2 rom through KDZ in emergency mod, i decided to roll back to 2.2, so i opened KDZ again and started flashing it.. well, at a point it just crashes.. I said "no worries, let's start over again".
I tried to flash again but i was getting multiple errors or crashes, so i decided to turn the phone off and unplug it from the USB.
After replugging, KDZ stopped recognising it and now im stuck at a forced emergency screen unable to flash the original rom back... any chance to fix it or it's definitely dead?
EDIT: By turning off the battery, disabling modem device on pc and connecting usb i could manage to start KDZ update. During the installation I got an error so I couldn't finish it. I Recommend do not switch phone off. There was some people, which done it and after they was not be able to turn it on again.

I just wonder, will it be on warranty? There was no superadmin installed before it got bricked, and there was the official 2.2.2 rom on it. Can they know if before that I installed custom roms? If so, does anyone know how much I would have to pay to get it back working?

Why were u downgrading when root for froyo 2.2.2 and 2.2.1 is available ?
You must try again by reading all the tutorials to bring back the dead phone. Its true that once you disconnected the phone, its not easy to bring back but try on other machine/pc. People has recover it even when they disconnect the phone.
Or
If you are taking it to LG service center, tell them you were updating the phone, but it crashed and didnt bootup. If they ask you anything about custom rom, tell them you dont know anything about that and this is your first android phone and they would repair it in warranty.
From my opinion, they will repair the phone as you haven't installed any recovery, rom yet.
If they are not repairing it in warranty, the charges could cost as much as you can buy a new phone.

Well the phone is not responding at all, tried to pull off the battery for many hours and then pull it back in to try charging it and next turn it on, but I didn't get the expected results..
"Good" new is that phone completely on stock settings as I just did the original 2.2.2 update and didn't have root and custom recovery aswell... they shouldn't be able to check if i had custom roms/recovery as mainboard should be completely gone :/
I will definitely take it to LG service next week in the spare time..

I flashed v10a through kdz to downgrade to old baseband.it all went well. Then i restarted the phone and it was stuck at bootloop. So i pulled out the battery and again it was stuck at bootloop. I thought i did something wrong while flashing . So i tried to reflash v10a through kdz. But then a dialog box came with an error. Then i tried to to flash v20b but the same error came again. My phone was still in emergency mode.
Nothing was working so i pulled out the battery and now its not responding at all.
Not switching on, my pc doesn't detect it , it doesn't charge when i connect it to a charger.
Please help me as you are my last hope.

Try reinstalling the LG drivers and try KDZ again. If success, and if it keeps loading the "android" animation, hard reset.
If all fails, LG is your only hope I guess
Its not meant sad, but i wonder why users are hopping every day/week from one rom to another only to try every unstable rom.
And no: i dont say it because i'm a developer - its pure logic i think.

Some developers just releases stuff fast...like fserve..no offence though.
here is what you should do:
1. download again the kdz file from the net (possibly you have a broken file)
2. close all LG icons from taskbar (lg updater, lg **** near of the clock) !!!
3. turn off firewall
4. plugin the phone via usb
5. start kdz
6. flash again kdz file
7. it should complete the update normally without problems

by the way, i flashed like 10 times from 2.3.3 back to 2.2 via KDZ,
one time i had problems, i forgot to close LG updater or whatever it called, but after i closed it worked fine
i have flashed 2 times with kdz and both time i never went after lg logo i had to hard reset it and it did work after that, u shouldnt have flashed it again , if u had hard reset it would have worked.

Dude!! If you ever get bootlooped after flashing kdz, always hardreset your phone!!

It stuck at the Emergency mode screen for very long time so I took the battery out . When i tried to turn on my o1, it won't turn on.
I tried to hard reset, change another battery but nothing happenned.
Now, my o1 seems to be dead.
Can anyone help me?

Go to the LG Service and say that you was playing game and it freezed , you was scare and pull the battery out ... and if LG service ask you about rom upgrading or rooting , or KDZ , you have to say to them that you don't know everything.... why you have to go to LG , because you was use KDZ to upgrade and that's stupid... KDZ is very dangerous...it broke your phone mainboard ( all thing inside your phone is mainboard ).....

Last week, I got in touch with root, recovery, custom ROMs and stuff aaaaand... then I got an error in KDZ and bricked my phone (stuck at emergency mode). For about 3 hours I had an expensive paper-weight. I just stayed calm (well, not THAT calm, but...) and after almost 3 hours of searching and trying all the possibilities of 'unbrick methods', I succeded.
Give us more details and you may not need specialized service to fix your phone.
- When you plugged your phone showing 'emergency mode', did your computer recognized it in some way?
(with 'recognized' I mean if Windows make a sound of 'device connected' and/or some lg modem appears on the device manager of Windows)
To me, it was recognized only after I removed the battery (thus making my phone in emergency mode turn off) and connecting the phone trough USB without battery. From this point, I just flashed a stock ROM with KDZ but, instead of selecting DIAG, I selected EMERGENCY.
If your phone gets recognized, remember to have the LG modem disabled like in any normal usage of KDZ
Now my phone is OK and I used KDZ many other times successfully.
(If you haven't seen already, it's very easy to find guides to unbrick the P500 - search this forum or google it).
If you're not sure you will be able to fix your phone anytime soon, keep it powered off to save the battery and give us more details about your problem, until you have in mind a possible solution.
You have a big chance of fixing your phone if it's only a software problem.

sadly, my phone is not recognized, it's nearly dead. Nothing happened when i touch every button.
It's very strange cause my last LG android phone, GW620, i used KDZ and LG utils to flash firmware almost every day but with P500, i just "update" and it turned to be a brick
So my o1 died? Can i do anything else before going to LG service center?

So, stupidly, I installed the wrong rom for my Jiayu G3, the rom was actually intended for the G3S version, and so when I rebooted the phone from CWM it didn't turn back on. Now I can't boot it, charge it, or anything, when I connect it to my PC it disconnects and reconnects every 10 seconds too. Is there anything I can do? Any help appreciated!

I BRICKED MY PHONE USING A ROM NOT PROPER FOR MY DEVICE JIAYU G3S(G3T). AFTER THIS, THE PHONE WON'T CHARGE, WON'T START, IT WAS DEAD. BUT AFTER HOURS SPENT SERCHING ON THE INTERNET, I WAS ALLOWED TO FIND WHAT I NEEDED TO REVIVE MY PHONE: ROM "JY-G3-20130523-102107" UNDER "SP_Flash_Tool_v3.1332.0.187". IN WINXP AFTER INSTALLING DRIVERS, MY DEVICE WAS DETECTABLE WHEN I PLUG IT, WITH NO BATTERY IN "SP_Flash_Tool_v3.1332.0.187" , SCATTER - LOADING PUT/MOUNT THE FILE FROM ROM "JY-G3-20130523-102107" NAMED "MT6589_Android_scatter_emmc" AND HIT "FIRMWARE->UPGRADE" CONNECT THE PHONE TO PC WITH NO BATTERY AND PUSH NOT FOR LONG, POWER BUTTON AND VOLUME MINUS/DOWN.
