I assure you that is not even close to a very common/important question. Maybe for an XDA member. I Know what your saying though, I asked an at&t salesman what version of android the atrix ran and he had no idea, he wanted to pull out the manual! I'm like buddy, its right here in the settings menu.

Oh it's already been told, I just posted this for some humor on the thread, so much for that, anyway the 4.3-inch screen has a special 3D qHD (960 x 540 pixels) stereoscopic display that does not require special eyewear to experience the perspectives. It's awesome

I used my upgrade yesterday and have voiced my disappointment to upper-level account services. I made it clear I am not considering leaving over it, but am very disappointed in Sprint for this bait-and-switch and I'm not a happy customer and ONLY chose to use it because according to them my only other option is losing it. My "issue" has been elevated and I told the last csr I spoke with that what I don't need is another csr to call me and re-explain something I already understand, and if her supervisor wishes to contact me and make an effort to turn me back into a happy customer they are welcome to do so.
Don't be offended, I know you know your stuff, this is just how I've decided to proceed.

Let's see what they say. This doesn't just effect HTC but the Evo 4G has been their top selling handset. Granted, Nexus 4G is what we (well, lots of us) will go to but the ability to customize our devices could easily move people away from Sprint.

Not sure what updates you are referring to but the Nexus gets updates first in most cases as it's "pure Google". I guess this might be bad if you are a believer in and reliant on Sense but for the AOSP group, it's AOK because it's what we are all trying to get to anyway.
I want to stick with HTC and the Evo/Evo 3D but may have to jump ship. Look on the bright side, at least our wireless provider HAS the next best thing.

I think he was probably referring to the Galaxy S II. A lot of people see the NS4G as old tech and not worth the purchase. Accordingly, they see the SGS2 as the next best thing if the EVO3D will retain the status of the locked bootloader.

the cant over turn it as the devices are already made and ready to go. if anything they could allow it to be unlocked via an OTA but that is unlikely.

no not at all as i was going to get this phone as well. i owned the evo just like most of you did. im just saying them correcting this at launch probably won't happen, if at all.
just as us nexus users know damn well if our radio issues are hardware related samsung or sprint will not issue a recall.

Makes sense... I just get antsy when I'm up for an upgrade and I sometimes forget not everyone is on the 12 month plan. Nexus, yes... Galaxy and new carrier, I never even considered it but the 3D situation surely does suck all the way around.

Wow did anyone read the specs at the bottom of htcs page? It says it has an 8MP rear camera..... Also 2.5mm headset jack not 3.5mm. Interestinggggg, I bet its just typos though.
This is really funny how people get so offended about this, if you don't like the second thread then stay at the other one, this guy was just trying to help... Not that I don't like a clean forum but let's not go crazy about this, unless you are a a mod and want to be strict about it

happens every time for every phone. not a biggy. its the "storm" time. then for a few weeks(i pray) it will be the "calm" with threads about nit picks, gripes, and "did you know this". Then the poor dev community is going to get raped by people demanding things of them when the devs dont owe anything to anyone. Just a natural cycle of things around here.
the only important thing to me(and hopefully everyone else) is that we all get our damn phones and get to enjoy our 3d headaches together lol

well the htc goes thru letstalk.com with fees for shipping and activation(at least that's what the site was showing when I test carted it..) but the thru sprint was no activation fee and supposed free "overnight" shipping..once you logged in

You have been a member for over a year so I am hoping that you are a little familiar with what goes on in these parts that we call the xda forums. If you were smart, you would have Google'd your question first and found nothing, just like everybody else in the world, and would have then figured out that if somebody from this forum did know, that it would be posted all over this forum therefore would have been in your google search in the first place.

My point was to let people know that he's okay.... Most people that have had a Photon since the start of this forum, HAD to have noticed that he was gone.... You bastards haven't missed me? Pfft! Hahahahaha. I'm alive, still have my photon. And that **** served me well. I tried to buy a US sim card from h2o. Pure crap. Didn't work. But. I bought a European one, popped it in. And I was off like clockwork. Phone worked great, and gave me service in some pretty remote ass backward places. So I'm happy with it. Even if I get a new phone, keeping this one for travel purposes.
