hello all,
after reading some hours here about iphone today i cant find a answer.
i use actual version on wm2003.
but the bubbles wont count the unread sms and calls i get.
so i start reading here, some one wrote a mort script for that.
but as i read, the script consume much energy so battery is fast empty.
then i look with regeditor into my phones registry, the keys iphonetoday reads are there.
but the dont count on unread sms or calls.
so next i read on wm2003 heres the location for calls:
Ok i got it. In the Registry 1 Entry changes after every call.
Is in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Notifications\Defau lt\LedREfCount
REG_NONE
Wert/Dump oder CRC
01,00,00,00
02,00,00,00 after 1 call
03,00,00,00 after next call etc.
Click to collapse
key is the, but dont count.
so i dont know how to get iphonetoday to count my unread sms or calls.
what can i do ?
any help would be nice.
i can programm so i can change the iphonetoday notification dll for the right locations, but where are they ?
were in registry is counter for unread calls and sms ?
thx and sry for bad english

Hi Guys,
Just a quick question regarding contacts. I sync with my outlook contacts at work, when i try and send a sms i press the contacts button. The thing is, it shows me an entry for each type of number
ie
Ali 07833454543
Ali +442078763345
Ali [email protected]
so thats three entries for one person !... as you can imagin it makes the list very long.
is there anything i can do, so that it just shows one line for each person, but when you select it, it shows the other numbers?
thanks
Ali
any ideas chaps?
a no would do
Mine does the same mate - don't know how to resolve it, SMS Name doesn't fix it that's for sure, and I've loaded SER 1.2 now... I guess it's 'cos you're using multiple service types, you have to see the different addresses (POP3/SMS)
in outlook, are your contacts displayed correctly?
What would be REALLY intelligent would be some way to have a shortcuts or "speed dial" list for SMS addressing. I only send SMS to a half-dozen people out of my 225 contacts. It would have been smart to allow you to address an SMS with the speed dial contact or some other list.
Any developers want to create some software for this? Guaranteed I'll buy it.
sms
its a lot easier with ppc 2003

Bring forth your findings then.
Don't dangle the carrot like that !!!!
ppc2003
hi
in ppc 2003 you dont have to find the contact by pressing the contacts iclon you just type there name in and it gives you options on the name also it has a character counter so you know how many you have typed. it also seems to run faster and my battery seems to last longer. i havent set the internet up yet but i will this coming week.

I use SuperAlert to give me repeating alarms for calendar and task notifications. Unfortunately, it doesn't do SMS notifications, and I miss some due to just not hearing it or being away from the device. Am I the only one?
i WISH
it's the most annoying thing about this phone. you never know you missed a call unless you actually go look at it.
i want it!!
I used to miss SMS's too, but found a neat little trick (and it's free too)
Just go to settings, notifications and select Inbox:New SMS Message, then tick Flash Light and set No limit in the duratins box. (I've done the same for missed calls myself) and if the light is flashing (three times as fast as usual) I have either a missed call or a new SMS
Work great on both PocketPC 2002 and Windows Mobile 2003

Hi guys.
I can't stop enjoying the WM2003, especially because of these things:
-When entering SMS a character counter shows if you exceed 160 characters.
-Incoming SMS does not wake up the unit, only audible/vibrating warning.
Excellent if the unit is in the pocket.
-A notification is given when an outgoing SMS is sent.
-Incoming calls and SMS' is represented by name without having to use the PPC2002 patch
-Incoming message notification even when Inbox is opened/active
Billy has done some work since PPC2002!
(but these features has been present on all GSM phones the last 10 years...)

Looks like a typical Uncle Bill stunt...
give the user what they think they should have...
not what the user actually wants.
Dont we all just love the DRM'd Windows media 9 series...
but what happened to mp3 ringtone support? heh
yeah yeah I'm going to get *****ed at for bringing that up again but its not exactly rocket science is it?
I have Palm Threaded SMS installed on my WM6 Hermes. Every so often a message gets caught in between the original SMS program and the threaded program and displays messages saying "2 Unread Messages" when there are none unread.
After redoing my whole OS for the billionth time a friend gave me instructions on fixing the issue. Install a registry editor like Total Commander, Clear out my inbox and turn on flight mode, Install Palm Threaded SMS, Open Total Commander and go to: \\ - Registry - HKLM - Software - Microsoft - Inbox - SVC, then Rename “SMS” to “SMS1.old” and Rename “MMS1” to “MMS1.old”, turn off power via power button, turn phone back on and turn off flight mode.
Yeah, so it worked okay for a week or 2, then the messages became stuck again.. showing "2 Unread Messages" when none were unread.
I also tried to display my normal "Inbox" on the today screen so that I had access to reading my outlook e-mail, and that display now ALWAYS says "SMS: 1 UNREAD"
Is there any new Threaded SMS program that won't allow messages to get caught between the programs? I'm so tired of having to reinstall WM6 in order to get rid of the Threaded SMS and reinstall it so that it doesn't say I have all of these messages that didn't go through, and now my SMS isn't even working properly. Apparantly people are receiving my texts, but their replies are not even coming through on my end at all. Help!
I could swear I just answered this...

I'm really sorry.. there's a crap load to look through on here and I discovered the problem while at work so I couldn't read all billion messages. Thanks, I'llc heck out your post.
i'm using dcd 3.2.5 currently, and in Phone Suite and the Messaging today plugin it displays that i have 1 unread SMS, but i do not. even after clearing the SMS directory completely, it still says there is one unread. the main messaging screen does not indicate any unread messages, however if i go into SMS and click the folder drop down, inbox has a (1) next to it. pocketbreeze also does not indicate any unread messages. is there a registry key or something i can edit to fix this? please note that this is not the issue in dcd 4.x.x where messages need to be scrolled over. thanks guys
EDIT: got it. seemed to be a combination of a registry edit and fixunreadcount.exe.
