No network connection - unlocked Atrix - Atrix 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello Atrix owners.
So I did the *#*#4636#*#* to access the phone settings and I think I hit something that screwed up my phone. I'm living overseas and I have an unlocked Atrix.
The phone worked fine (minus WiFi) but now the phone doesn't detect any cellular networks.
Any clues?
I can only think of one thing, I pressed the "USA Band" button but there is nothing else to select.
Please help!!!!

I have the same problem, unlocked Atrix from AT&T now with an O2 UK sim. entered *#*#4636#*#* and now I have no network connection on any sim..?
Did you find a cure for this?

I think people fixed it by sbf flashing, or by ota update. I suggest you flash the 1.2.6 sbf than ota update to 1.5.7. Regarding nonworking wifi jjatrix, there is a simple fix, you just need the phone rooted in order to do that. Search for the thread in the dev section.

The flash Back to 1.26 thread can be found at: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=991072

Dear All
Thanks everyone for viewing I have solve my own problem already.
It seems that The AT&T Atrix 4G have some sort of communication problem handling the Telstra Smart-Touch T3020 in 3G mode. But it can connect to Telstra Smart-Touch T3020 2G without drama. The problem can be work around by switch the Atrix to 2G only every time I call that phone, or simple flash the 1.8.7 radio to fix it.
If you don't knows how to flash sbf file. Do a search in Atrix 4G forum on this site and you will be able to find it.
Here is the link to the radio from XDA Developer:

Didn't work for me
Great post.
I have an Atrix 4G AT&T on Telstra.
After the 1.8.3 OTA update, the H+ icon appeared and the data speeds were awesome. I was very happy.
Unfortunately after the update, I couldn't call my girlfriend. The phone would crash/reboot on the dialer. She had the same problem calling me with a crash/reboot. I thought it sounded like the same problem you had been having and that you'd described here.
I did what you did, flashed the radio, but got different results, it didn't work. Flashing fixed the crash/reboot problem, but now it'll only connect to Telstra at EDGE speeds (ie s-l-o-w.)
Tried factory reset to get the original radio, no dice. I'm now flashing back to stock.
Appreciate your post, but I just wanted to put it out there that it wasn't working in case there are others with the same probs. Cheers!
Hello, SC
Which model of phone did you have problem calling.
What is your Atrix Baseband stock radio version, mind is N_01.77.15P.
After flashing N_01.87.00R.
Hi All
I'm on Telstra with and ATT Atrix and was having this issue. I just flashed the 1_8_7 radio sbf and at this stage it appears to have fixed the problem (I haven't tried all the probelm numbers yet but the ones I have tried are OK). I also appear to still have good data speed and show a H+.
After flash the Baseband version is N_01.87.00R.
Thanks.
Di you need root or unlocked bootloader to flash radio?

[Q] Help with Rogers Galaxy Note i717

I went through and read everything in the Super Thread - twice.
I went through and flashed the stock Rogers ICS 4.0.4 rom to the phone and then rooted it by flashing the cwm kernal in the instructions. My phone is successfully rooted and it is not reverting to the stock android recovery.
I went through and disabled all the Rogers bloatware and restarted the phone and now it isn't enabling itself automatically. Score one for patience and good advice.
I use Petro Canada Mobility pay as you go. They are a reseller of Rogers and the price is right until my ISP launches their wireless service.
I went through and set the phone so that is uses gsm/wcdma bands only - no LTE as it isn't available in my province as of yet. I set up Petro Canada's APN settings and save. I restart the phone and the phone automatically defaults back to Rogers APN settings. The APN that I created is gone - *poof* I can't count how many times in the last 24 hours I have reset this phone
What the heck am I missing here cause I can't figure it out. Why won't it save my APN settings? I got the rest of the kinks worked out and now this??
Do the Bell and Telus versions of this phone have the same quirks cause if they don't, I'll gladly flash their roms.
Help please!
I would leave the network to auto.
When you make an APN and save it, then select it, it disappears?
Can you edit the default Rogers APN?
Is your phone carrier unlocked?

When I make an APN and and save it, it is fine until I restart the phone. The minute I restart the APN disappears. I can edit the Rogers APN and save the changes. When I restart, it reverts to it's default settings. It is not carrier unlocked. Because my mobility carrier is a reseller of Rogers, my sim card works with it. There was no need to unlock it.
It seems like you need to unlock it, because you can't use any other carrier's APN, you're locked on Rogers.
Have you rooted it? Since that is the cheaper route, maybe being rooted will let you permanently create the correct APN.
Yes I have it rooted. Still the same issue.
Run a good nandroid backup ....
Then enter the new APN into the device ....
Then delete the old APN , then reboot ...
If the new APN sticks, then run a new backup and delete the old one ...
These devices can be temperamental on occasion ....g
Edit :
And yes ...you may be locked at this point, and stuck on Rogers ...g
I went through and unlocked the phone, stuck in a Bell Sim card and it recognized it right away. I went through completely reset the phone again, entered in my APN settings, and restarted. The settings disappeared. I am told that the Bell, Rogers, and Telus variants are all the same so I am going to flash one of their roms on the phone to see if I have better luck.
Well I flashed a different rom - Bell and that fixed the issue. It was the stock rogers rom that was causing me grief.
So my next question is this - anyone have any ideas on what Rom is better? The Telus or the Bell one?

[Q] Can't seem to fully reflash SG Note 2 with stock ROM. Help please!

Hi, and firstly, thanks to any and all who offer their knowledge to assist my conundrum.
I recently purchased a Bell Canada version of the SG Note 2 (i317), I am on Telus so I attempted to Unlock the phone. I looked online and found people were having success unlocking these phones for free using the *#197327640# method, (whereby you go into the service mode, turn off the PERSHO_256 and then INITIALLIZ).
I tried this method and the phone then seemed to work with my telus sim, but only for voice, not data. When I put in a Bell SIM from a friend, both voice and data worked fine - which tells me its not a hardware (radio) issue. I also tried using another friends Telus SIM and had the same results as mine - which tells me it's not a SIM error. Also, all the settings in the mobile network area appeared to be correctly set up.
So, my next step was to try and reflash the phone to the stock Bell ROM and then just buy an Unlock code. I downloaded the stock ROM (2 different ones actually) and used Odin 3.07 to reload the ROM. I've tried it several times now, with both Bell ROMs and each time it says it's been successful, but the phone remains in the same, partially unlocked state.
It seems as though by using the PERSHO_256 method I have permanently, PARTIALLY unlocked the phone. I can't seem to re-lock it by installing the stock Bell ROM, and since it's unlocked, I can't get the foreign SIM error to come up to enable me to put in my purchased unlock code.
If anyone has any insights, it would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks!

You should ask questions about a specific device in its own Q&A. (unless it doesn't have one). Cuz people there have the same phone and will know exactly what to do.
LIFE! IT'S WHAT YOU MAKE OUT OF IT!
Will do, thanks for the tip!

LG Leon not getting 3G/4G in Spain

Hi,
I have just return from US and I got a LG Leon from MetroPCS to sty connected while there. Now that I am back I unlocked the phone via unlock app. My surprise came when I put me Spanish SIM card (Jazztel) and the phone only gets 2g connection. I have been searching the net and I found some threads on the topic but I can not make any of them work on my phone. First I tried changing the radio to Europe mode through *#*#4636#*#*, and I enter the test page but when I click the phone info button I get a message that states that I can not run that application on this device. I thought it was because I wasn't root so I rooted it. But before I could root I had to downgrade by flashing an older firmware. No way, I get the same message. I tried the hidden menu to see if I could find an entry to change the radio mode, or any type of LTE configuration. Hidden menu on my phone though 277634#*#. I also tried the anycut option, but I do not get any facility called LTE configuration or similar.
I am desperate and I do not know how to proceed. Any help is welcome
Thanks in advance

Selected "Select GSM/UMTS Band" on Sprint XT25126 - GSM is dead

Some while ago I unlocked my XT1526 by installing the "Network" application (which is relly the same as the test menu you get with a keycode on some Motos) from playstore, and selecting "LTA/GSM only (auto)" from the menu brought up there...
The phone worked in India on 3G, and now in Italy on 3G as well. Thinking I would be able to select specific bands, I went into the "Network" to select GSM/UMTS Band and ttried the possible settings (my phone was offering USA Band, Cellular, and PCS).
Total outcome - phone no longer works with GSM. So, I was clever....
Google doesn't yield all that much, best info was here => http://www.droidforums.net/threads/3g-network-disappears.111409/
There the Op eventually fixed it by flashing droid sbf from Google.
Regrettably, there's no such SBF (full firmware restore file) for the Sprint XT1526 available. Any other recommendations what I might do? I'd go for a full firmware restore, and there appear to be a few good threads on FW restore, but not for a Sprint model...

My phone is on 5.something at whatever Sprint currently is... Any rumors whether another update might be pushed out by Sprint soon that might "magically" fix this by overwriting the current FW and settings?
Final warning - there's not a lot of discussion about this option, but it seems it has caused nothing but grief for all that used it.
Thanks!
Unlock bootloader and erase modemst1 and modernst2
You are done.
