[Q] [Request]HTC To Do List widget - Thunderbolt Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I loved to use the to do list widget on my old droid eris and when i looked for it on my thunderbolt i was disappointed.
I tried to copy the apk from my eris to my thunderbolt but the screen size is different so the buttons are right in the middle of the note pad.
So I was wondering if anyone could take the eris widget and resize it for the thunderbolt.
If you dont know what im taking about here is a pic.

Just do the htc sense.com mod, then download it from get more htc widgets. That will be the easier way

[ROM] request...

Im a big of how sense functions. However, I like the feature that helix has where one can place icons at the bottom and keep them stationery. is there any way one can edit rosie scroll to function like that? Ive seen an ad for the incredible, where the ui appeared to have a bottom dock with icons, but didn't see that when I went to verizon & checked it out for myself. Ive played around w/ other home replacements like helix and none of them were as stable as sense or helix. I guess what im asking for is a sense/helix hybrid w/ 3d launcher capabilities. If it were easy, im sure it would be done rt now.

Anything like HTC Sense that organizes "Favorite" apps?

I was looking at a Droid Incredible 2 for my gf the other day, and see that HTC Sense has a "Favorites" menu for most used apps. Is there something like this for all phones? I am using Launcher Pro.

HTC user moves to Samsung

Hi!
I just got my first Galaxy phone after having 4 HTC android phones I must say this thing is amazingly fast!
I have one question though, I do kind of miss some of the HTC widgets. Like the weather widget and the little calendar widget they have that only takes up 1 line on the Home screen. Is there any way to get the HTC widgets onto the Galaxy S III?
I liked these too on my HTC Sensation, unfortunately I couldn't find anything decent yet.
I have a thread in apps and themes subforum and there were some links to ported HTC widgets, but I didn't like any yet
Search play for
Android pro widgets & beautiful widgets.
They are a good start to replacing your HTC widgets
HTC widgets cant be ripped to other android devices because HTC link the widgets to only with with the sence skin.
There are coppys on the Play store. Just not as good
thanks for the replies... I have beautiful widgets and they are so so ;/
Kinda sucks that no one has made replacements...
Edit: for those interested, I found the Simple Calendar widget to be REALLY nice. Replaces the HTC one any day
There is a sense 4.0 clock apk some where in sgs3 apps and theme. Go find it there.

[Q] Beautiful widgets

I love the super clock in have but I wonder if either beautiful widgets has a clock with the numbers that flip (like old clocks)
If not anyone knows where I can get a clock like that? I show a pic of my home screen hopefully I can get something similar but with the flipping animation, thanks

If you mean just the retro digital clock where the numbers flip (but animation is minimal, it's more the way it looks), then beautiful widgets has them. They came out primarily with HTC models when Gingerbread had just been released.
If you open the skins tab in BW superclock settings and select tab (don't know which one, but it accesses the skin/share exchange or whatever). You can tell it's the right page because each skin will state how many times it's been downloaded.
For the skin you are looking for, you may have to scroll down for a bit (and let the app load more choices) since this skin debuted maybe 18 months ago or more. But I know the basic black and a bunch of others like it are there. Look for the keyword "gingerbread" or just "ginger"...that might help.

are u talking about this type of clock, see attach?
i have beautiful widgets and i downloaded this skin to show you if this is what your looking for.
No...That's not it. Close though.. it looks like the HTC standard clock.
Here is a version of it. (I don't think any of these are the actual stock HTC clock since that was part of HTC's own desk clock/alarm, and not Beautiful Widgets.
You can tell it's the retro one because of the recessed middle which, if this was an analog clock, was attached to the "hinge" allowing the top portion to fall down revealing the next number.
This clock was actually under "featured skins" and I didn't have to scroll at all as it was on the first page.

ah i get u.
they have those kind of clocks in beautiful widgets. u would be able to download the skin called "sense v4.1" and a bunch of other versions of the clock with the 'recessed' line.
Thanks bro, I really love the look of them but I'm looking for the full animation, I would really like if it would actually flip every time it changes. Suggestions?

If I recall the discussions correctly from my old HTC phone, beautiful widgets used to have the animations like the Sense widget, however they were ordered to remove them as it infringed on copyrights HTC had on the animation. Or something like that. So, you wont get the animations exactly like the sense widget unless you have an HTC Sense phone. I believe the Miui Roms have the flip animations on one of their clocks, maybe they have a skin to make it look like the Sense widget.
I think the animation is pretty close. It's not like BW designers were copying something original like a new design. It's a 35 year old clock.. I will have to look up that dispute. Or at least I will launch my HTC clock and see if it is any different BW.

HTC Photo Frame Widget

On my previous HTC EVO 4G LTE, I had a nice HTC Photo Frame widget. I understand it might be locked in with the Sense UI as it's an HTC widget, but I was surprised to see it not included on the HTC One M8.
I've tried a few widgets from the play store, but none are as elegant, simplified, and fully functional as the HTC version.
Is there a way to extract this widget from the older HTC phones and use it on the M8? I still have access to my evo for a few more days before I send it back to sprint (good riddance), so if there is something for me to try to get it from the evo, i'm down.
Bump for this. I'm really curious as to why HTC would remove these Photo Gallery widgets from the M8
Another bump for this....I copied the old sense 5 apk to system/app and set permissions to rwrr then rebooted.
The widget appeared and would let me try to assign it to a home screen, but as soon as I did, I got a error msg saying widget stopped working.
So it can be installed but crashes out....maybe you need to be deodexed?
I would love to see someone port this so that it did work though...
