Why do I can`t find applications for video recording in the market?
Could someone please point me to someone who can replace the original application?

im on pays v6 and with lgcamera the videos are not viewable, the stock camcorder closes as i open.

lgcamera - Android app that can be installed from Market. It offers the possibility to take video recordings with customized options. This app works on Wildfire (tested on nightly CM7) and if messing around with the app settings a bit, it can take videos of a higher quality then the default camera app.

I use Vignette, it works great, it does photos and video all from a full screen with no borders. I love it. Give it a try lads!

i use video format mpeg4 video encoder h.263 video resolution 320x240 video bitrate 5 mbit or 3 video fremrate 5 audio default, torc on
is it any better than camera360 ultimate ?
I tried this app but didn't like it very much.... lags a lot and the camera quality isn't THAT much better

lgcamera surely can take better video recordings than default CM7 Camera app. (i specified it has been tested on CM7 nightly)
I'm aware that you were talking about cm7. Maybe the quality is better, but its still bad enough that I won't use it anyway (my fifth gen ipod nano comes handy here )
So I merely said that its of no use to me. (I find vignette far superior, although it lacks video recording)
this app is great for photo shooting but the zoom don't work on my phone
Some of you have noticed that videocam illusion does work on a modded X10 with 2.2 but the sound is just like the chipmunks.
Does everybody have this problem or do only some of us have this?
I like the new roms, I don't mind that I need to use different programs to take pictures and video. But I do mind that we all sound like this.
Is there a solution or do we have to learn to live with it?

I use the app and I got used to the annoying sound.
If you buy the full version there are settings, you can change the recording speed (i believe thats the one you change) to very slow, and that fixes the voices. You only have the option to change these settings in full version though
I use the full version and with very slow recording speed (0.5), I can record very well and with good audio.
I believe that it is important to mention that this software saves the video file in .mov (quicktime) format ... with the advantages and the disadvantages of that....
I look forward to see a new version of videocam illusion able to use different video format
Too bad there's no "perfect" alternative to SE's 2.1 Camera..
Hopefully the devs can put something together when Arc is out and use its firmware

herez the cut....am on froyobread and i actually don't like the stock camera app of Froyobread....i want 2 use the stock 2.1 update 1 SECamera app, but the camera or the camcorder is not working.
i miss the "continuous auto-focus" video recording of the stock SEcamcorder.
am presently using camera 360 ultimate as my camera app and the picture quality is pretty good. therez TONS of options to fiddle with & also a fancy (and fake) "tap to focus" . . pretty decent indeed.
but as of the camcorder, am not getting a good app....LGcamera keeps Force closing & so does the MIUI camera while recording video.
please gimme some suggestions for camcorder app. i hv searched the market fr ti, but didn't find a good susbtitute....reply guys

solved the problem man ....LG cam pro 5.95 has the continuous auto focus during video (aka, semi-continuous). it can also record videos in improved codec and bitrate

I dont thimk its the connection...mine and my gf have the same issue...I think the engadget review one did as well...I'm hoping that its a software issue...its definitely NOT the internet connection...at least in my case

The camera on this thing is horrible! Blurry and extremely choppy. Is it like this on all the touchpads? The galaxy's 0.3mp camera looks better than this one

If anyone can help me with this question I would greatly appreciate it. I am trying to figure out if I can install an odexed apk (blurCamera) into a deodexed rom (eclipse 1.1). The reason for this is because the only camera app that records video without freezing and lag is the stock blurCamera.apk from 2.3.4, but only the odexed version. So if I can install this apk into eclipse what permissions do I have to set for the odex file? Or if u know of a camera app that actually works that would be great too. Any help would be great. I have a 9 month old son that I want to take video of, but stock 2.3.4 just doesn't function near as good as eclipse, even with supercharger and speedy installed.

Have you tried the apk from the stock, deodexed zip put up by peperm1nt? It should work but it won't display the thumbnail preview at the lower right if you're using the aosp gallery.

Well what us the point in having a phone that claims it can record in 720p hd when u have to set it to record in standard def just to get a decent quality video? If I knew how to adjust the bitrate it records in I think I could fix it, but that us way above me. I read in another post that the bitrate is too high.... Just an idea if anyone with some expertise on this wants to help me I will be glad to do anything I can. I do know some coding stuff, but I'm still a noob
I get no issues on 720p recordings with the stock camera. I get some tearing on playback on the phone periodically but when played back on a pc, etc it looks great.
