Ha! They have it in stock now? I bought one of these off of the ThinkGeek.com website back in December and it is pretty sweet. Definitely will get you some looks from others if you whip it out at a Starbucks. The one thing I will tell you is that if you're really getting into some game and working that joystick with your thumb it may come loose and the heavy metal ball can smack the screen of the gTab and that sound will make you freak out since it will sound like the screen may have been cracked.
Otherwise, it's pretty sweet. I got a Fling one as well and I find myself using that one more often as it lies flatter than the joystick and I don't have to worry about it smacking the screen if it comes loose.

Do these work with screen protectors?

Yes they do. I have a Skinomi on my screen and both of the "joysticks" work for me just fine. I can't say it's improved my scores any though.

This looks cool, but I cannot figure out why they are including with it an SD card reader. I mean, what am I (or what would I be) really paying $20 for?

Is HD stylus with built-in ballpen available?

Anybody has this or seen this around? Would like to buy if available.
Can't find anything in eBay or Google.
Can't understand why people are not making it, I hope it has nothing to do with the magnetic nature of the stylus....

EDIT - More tactful this time
I haven't seen these for the HD, and I'm quite sure they aren't available to buy anywhere.
Can't see there being a big market for it though as all apps like diary, calculator, notepad, etc are available on HD
that's probably because when people have a pda they don't use pencils and ballpoints anymore.
notepad? in pda
agenda? in pda
shoppinglist? in pda
etc etc
and you dont want to have the mess of a leaking ballpoint in your pda

For me to write down something on paper for others.....or signing documents...
Had it for a long time on my iPaq, never had problem with ink leaking. Morever, the cap is quite tightly fitted and ink volume is small.
I agree with the first writer... with the exception of my HD I've always had a pen/stylus and found it wonderful for the times when you need to jot a note down to give to someone and all you have on you is your phone
ballpen as stylus? wtf.. why... if you place a ballpen for some time head up (or even horizontal) it's often dried out or leaking. Dried out... it's becomes useless. Leaking it becomes a problem. In short ..NO
To each its own, one man's meat is another man's poison.
Quality matters, I supposed. For years, the stylus ballpen on my iPaq never leak and better still, the pen never fail to write even when I last used it weeks ago. Love the convenience of having a pen at my disposal!
Looks like stylus with ballpen is really not available for HD.
double post
I am looking for this as well.
Not a bad idea.
I would like to know if this is available as well. Moving to Blackstone Accessories.

Tks for the url.
The pic in the ad is not a HD stylus, not sure if I can be convinced by their description until they can show a pic that looks right; esp. when we know that nobody has seen a HD stylus with ballpen before.
Also, I think the price is kinda steep.
The search goes on....
I've had pen/sylus before. I think they are useful. There are still occasions you need an actual pen and as I always have my HD on me, this means I would always have a pen on me
I agree, £11 is a little much...
I used to have one for my HTC Wizard. That tylus was telescoping, it would retract to fit into the phone. It was cool at first to have a pen handy. But eventually the suction from the expanding of the stylus pulled the ink out of the tube and made a huge mess. So, since the HD stylus is solid, I would think the concept would be better. There has to be one out there somewhere!

Also the 2 in 1 feature does not mention a ballpen.
1 - Stylus.
2 - Reset pin.

I'm using ones from my Trinity they stick out slightly at the corner/side (but it flush with the end of the device), other than that it's a perfect fit. I agree it's good to have a pen always with you!
try this.. http://www.lamyusa.com/tripen.html
used that before...works well..
Erm, kinda defeats the purpose doesn't it?
We're looking for a stylus with a pen in it, so we don't have to carry a pen around, you're suggesting a pen?

So we have a simple solution!
Just take an emery board / nail file and make it fit the Touch HD
One more question to Noony, is the stylus of the Trinity magnetic, so it stays in our HD while shaking ?

Filing down would be tricky it's 2mm at the front and almost flush at the back.
It's not magnetic but it's a good fit. Never fallen out and never fallen apart when being pulled out. I gave it a good shake and it doesn't move

Oh no! Not light bleed!!! Say it ain't so!

I got my brand new 3vo and the first thing I see is light bleed!
It is along the bottom of the screen. I'm scared to boot the other one I ordered.

I can't believe people have had this phone for like 36 hours and this is the first thread!!!
Yep the 3D does have light bleed along the bottom of the screen and up the sides. Doesn't appear to be as bad as the Evo 4G but it is there.
And I don't thing the power button is any different either. It the same hard to find one on my Evo 4g.

Yup, same here. It's minor, and doesn't really bother me. Barely noticeable.
The powerbutton though, how's it hard to find? It's always in the same spot and never moves!
yes, this is one of the things i wish htc fixed but i have it too.. im going to ask for a new one because i have a white spot near the home button from the light.. guess the black under the glass didnt cover that little pin size spot.
as for the light bleed... i always use a case on my phone, do i dont see it much. sucks that its there i guess but not a deal breaker

Mine is the same way, a little light bleeding from the capacitive buttons, but not a big deal at all.
I see it in a well lit room. I had to go in a dark room with my dslr to get the picture. maybe I'll get a case but I sure do like to streak.
Swyped from my Atari 2600 3D
No bleed with my Otterbox covering the bottom of the phone. =)
^^ lmfao @ swiped from my atari 2600 3d!!!!!
I have it too...but its really really minimum. If I use my case, its all covered up anyway...no biggie..

To each there own. Personally I don't like companies doing shotty work on any part of my device. It's not bad but when I'm laying in bed on the EVO it was annoying and could make watching videos not good. Like I said I'm weird but I like my products made with care and without batch defects.
That being said it not as bad as the original but its a shame they couldn't fix such a stupid issue.

Of course it's not a big deal, but it's really something that just shouldn't happen. When cheaper phones by HTC can have no leaks, then it means it's all just a matter of quality control.
Both phones have light bleed at the bottom. It's there. It is very hard to photograph. I won't go into why it is so hard to photograph. But it shows up very well in a bright room.
No light bleed here whatsoever

Defect or is everybodys Ultra like this?

As title.

Pressure marks on screen.
Second Z ultra thats doing this. First one I had right fun and games with a certain repairer.
Here it is. Do I live with it or send it back?
Thanks for your time ladies and gents.

Hmmm, it's an LCD panel, so it'll do that if you give it a hard press (like your PC monitor and TV), but that's not normal, no. The Ultra's panel is so-called "zero gap", which means that the glass and LCD panel are fused together making it one piece, and not two. That's how they've made it so thin. The glass is also very thin (Dragontrail), so that combination will have some consequences. BUT this doesn't look normal. You're not even tapping hard, so that looks like a defect. I get it too if I press hard, and I mean really hard.

I had a look at both of mine the other day, one does this on the left side of the screen if I press too hard, the other doesn't seem to do it at all. A symptom of too thin glass/ts/panel and too big?

I think so. But it shouldn`t happen. But then again, the technology was cutting edge. Maybe the Z2 Ultra won`t have these problems.
I have OCD and it really bothers me. Too picky I know but would like it right. I haven`t lost hope with Sony products at all, just think that with something cutting edge there will be flaws...

Motorola Keylink Review

I purchased 2 Motorola keylinks one from Motorola's website and one from a T-Mobile store. I want to share my though about this little device.
Let me start by saying the keylink is much smaller than I imagined it would be. The device itself isn't anything fancy its just a little triangular key fob with a single button and a hole in the back whose function I am not sure of at this time. The fob won't get in your way like the battery pack micro would and I don't even notice that its there.
The Motorola connect app is what is used to find your phone or Keylink should you misplace it. If you lost your phone simply double tap the Keylinks button to have your phone chime in a really annoying "come find me and shut me off" fashion.
Edit: I found out what the tiny hole on the back of the Keylink is. Its a speaker for when you "Ping it" from the app. The button on the back also flashes green to make it easier to find. It should be noted that you hedge to press the button to get out to stop beeping unless there's a set time it beeps for. (I haven't tested it to see how long it beeps for before stopping)
(I blacked out the street names in the screen shots for privacy reasons)
The app won't let me create and OP and post pictures in the same post so here they are:
did you ever use the moto power pack micro prior to this?
i use the power pack micro and it does not get in my way at all. i have push button start in the ride so the keys stay in my backpack, etc.
different strokes i suppose. i picked up the power pack micro for its charging gimmick and the fact that i can attach it to the moto 360s charge base (i carry one around in my backpack) so i have power to charge that little guy when needed.
appreciate you taking time to post on this gadget. you answered the questions i was wanting to know...

Its just too big for me. I tried one out and I didn't like it. I understand everyone has a need, I was just addressing those of us who want something small that can fit easily into your pocket without adding a huge bulge.
I think the micro is good for some but not everyone, I like to have the bare minimum when I carry my keys as you can see, but if I left it in my bad out wouldn't be bad at all, however I prefer it on my keys where I can't lose it.
i purchased a keylink too mainly for the trusted device. Im loving it so far no problems here.

I think it really give more background reflection (on the curvy parts), but for me it doesn't really matter much. The choice of curvy screen obviously have some disadvantages, but people who don't wanna deal with it can get the S6 instead.

however i tried it at best buy today and watched "the get hard" trailer on youtube and i felt like the screen was awesome and immersive now idk know if the edge played in this or the mere fact the quality of the screen is far more superior then my s5.
And buy the way the speakers or speaker sounded great loud and clear, 3x times better then the s5.

1 mm? Don't think so.. More like 4 mm.. I agree that the curve is pleasing when it comes to aesthetics, but the note edge Is superior since the edge isn't part of the main screen. What I would like to know is why people think it's immersive just because it's unnatural and different ?

People still really watch full length movies on their phones? JK.....
From my experience, the curved screen looks amazing and I prefer it over the transitional flat screen. There's just something about it.....the best way to describe the feeling/experience is like looking at one of those edgeless swimming pools where the water just falls over the side into the bottom pool....it's just pure Class....hope that makes sense....
The edge just has that x factor to it where it actually makes the traditional flats look outdated LOL. It's like what the Samsung curved LED's did when it came out....it's a whole new experience.
