You can have root access and use the market with the last standard rom toshiba?
Thanks
I didn't try for now. But i think market is no available ...
You can have the android market on the toshiba rom
Get at least temporary root
Change the build.prop as in the dexter mods
Install the market apk (can be extracted from the dexter mods)
anyway, flashing the latest dexter mod is actually easier...

not so easy as you think. You need to patch the MAC address in one library to make the market work. I've done it some time ago using a pre-patched apk from dexter, but it wasn't trivial....

I know this has been asked around the place quite a bit, but I haven't read an answer on xda and this place seems to be the best place to get answers, so I'm going to ask it...
Is it possible to run up Android 2.1 or 2.2 on the emulator with the market? I've got 1.5 and 1.6 running fine but haven't worked out how to get 2.x working. It's really bugging me that I can't find a good answer as to whether or not it is possible.
And if not, can someone tell me why?
Thanks in advance!
BTW: my first post!

AVD 2.2 with Market, su and busybox
I made a Android 2.2 system.img with market,
su and busybox for Android SDK AVD, that you can download here: http://www.ehalm.at/avd-2.2-market.php?l=en
There is also an installation guide.
Please read them through so does the Market correct.
This video will explain again how to make the market work:
AVD 4.3 with Play Store, SuperSU and more.

Android 4.3 system.img with Play Store, SuperSU (root) and more for Android SDK AVD (Android Virtual Device).

hi !
First, I am really sorry for my bad english...
I just installed Metamorph in my Optimus one but I don't find metamorph theme for this !
Does somebody can help me ? Where can I find some theme ?
Thanks a lot
First - after you have installed Metamorph you should launch it to set it up. I tried different versions of Metamorph and each of them failed to set up.
Second - If you have already set up your metamorph, search in the Android General > Themes forum for MDPI device Metamorph themes (Make sure your Android version matches the targeted version of Metamorph to avoid bugs).
sorry my english not good
my phone is rooted but not up rom #
I'm using original rom of LG P500. So Can i change theme?
Please? This is my first time using android OS
The original system APKs are odexed (Which means that in order to modify them you need to modify all the files related to them, search the web for "Odexed" to get more information). That's why to theme your phone you must have a deodexed ROM because otherwise it gets complicated (And if you theme an odexed ROM you won't be able to load the Android GUI).
You should either flash a custom ROM or make your own so you can apply themes from XDA and other sites.
The most anticipated app for HoneyComb 3.2 is out.
I modified the build.prop so u can replace.it with your current one to appear as xoom in market.
This will help you to download all the apps for.honeycomb when u are done just replace the modified build.prop with your
Original one.
Thats all you will need just root explorer like es file manager
Now lets Enjoy Honeycomb
Does it run even? Google body is a native HC app and use apis that only exist in HC.
Sure you can download it but will it run?
Hello everyone.
First of all, english is not my native language so don't expect a perfect writting from me.
This is my first post, and it's about a simple modding thing that I was hopping I could find it somewhere on this forum, but unfortunatelly I lack of luck. It is not like I don't like the charging icon that appears on the notification bar on my tablet, but I find another type of mods more stylish and pretty. That's why I customed my SystemUI.apk to get this on my Android.
I used a tool from shayne77 that easily customize the battery indicator on CM9-based ROMS and original CM9 ones, so if you want to say thanks the credit its all for him.
It works specially with the Ganbarou ROM v1.00 for Galaxy Tab P7510, and it was tested by me and I hope it should work fine with yours.
I include in this post two attachments:
the ZIP file is flashable via CWM or similar recovery software.
The APK is the SystemUI.apk itself, and if you don't want to flash your rom, you can copy it with a File Explorer with Root Permissions in /system/app/.
I expect this would help someone!
Hello there.
First of all I am not a developer or modder like many of you here in XDA. Though I like to mess with my phone to make it work the way it should. I am posting this thread asking for help.
Currently I am trying to get the native firewall in MIUI 8 to block system apps from using WiFi, without success.
I am following the instructions posted by a developer in MIUI forum to modify Security app: link http://en.miui.com/thread-531515-1-1.html (original developer Nicolas72)
There are some minor differences between the code in the original thread and the ones I am working with (due to different versions of the apk), but in general it's the same method. However, bootloop are the only results I got.
Steps I followed:
Deodex app, decompile, make changes to the smali code, recompile and put the apk back to the phone (set permissions, delete corresponding odex file and reboot the phone. And bootloop.
My phone Kenzo is currently running stock MIUI 8.2.4.0 Global Stable, Official unlock.
Can anyone help me to get this done?
Thank you in advance.
Sorry for my broken English
Seem like there is no one using stock MIUI here.
Restrict wifi usage for system apps on MiUi 9 or above.
Were you able to find any solution or work around?
