I own a rooted Dell Streak. My current setup reads as follows:
Android Version: 2.2.2
Baseband Version: GAUSB1A131800-US
kernel: 2.6.32.9-dj_steve
oem:190
build number: streakdroid 1.9.0
I have been having some issues where the all communication drops off, I get a No Sim Card error in the upper left and there is no network connection. Then, randomly it will power off. Usually after a longer phone call.
The only thing I can see is that my baseband is 318 and it seems there are updated versions but I have no idea how to update it
Can someone assist me or let me know of something that I haven't tried and need to do?
if you really want to try here are the 345 baseband files (also what DJ's 1.9 is based on)
mirror2.streakdroid.com/manii/345/amss.mbn
mirror2.streakdroid.com/manii/345/dsp1.mbn
you need fastboot to flash this:
ie
fastboot -i 0x413c flash dsp1 dsp1.mbn
fastboot -i 0x413c flash amss amss.mbn

So I have an Eris which had the 2.1 OTA update. I checked before I started and the HBOOT version was 1.46, so I wanted to root the phone with the guide from this board (won't let me post a URL, threadid is 647707).
It all goes great until step 4, where you boot recovery and load the rom. I cannot get it to boot recovery for the life of me. I appear to have root to the device, since I can get in with adb and I get the root shell (#). I'm able to copy files over and execute the last command, where the recovery image is written to the recovery partition (though I get no notice of success OR error).
That's where everything stops working. When I try to boot recovery, either by holding VolUp+Power or the command "reboot recovery," the system just hangs at the screen with the three androids on skateboards. I let it sit like that for 45 minutes, hoping recovery just takes a long time to boot. But it looks like it's no good.
About phone:
Firmware Version: 2.1
Baseband Version: 2.40.00.01.22
Kernel Version: 2.6.29-5898f66b [email protected] #1
Build number: 2.19.605.1
PRI Version: 2.11_002
PRL Version: 51731
ERI Version: 5
Boot w/ VolDn+Power:
PB00100 XC ENG S-OFF
HBOOT-1.49.2000 (PB0010000)
I apologize if this has been posted by somebody else and addressed already. I've been googling for about an hour trying to find somebody with this particular problem but I can't find anything.
TIA for any help anybody can offer.
If you can get fastboot (on your PC) communicating with your Eris via the USB (as evidenced by the "fastboot devices" command printing out your Eris DeviceID), then I would recommend merely reflashing the Amon_RA in one step with the fastboot command.
Steps:
1) Download Amon_RA v.1.6.2 for the Eris
md5sum/filename: e3932991f097993602af3c7a4b61a4f8 recovery-RA-eris-v1.6.2.img
Verify using a md5sum tool (of your choice) that you downloaded the file "recovery-RA-eris-v1.6.2.img" correctly, and that it indeed has a MD5 hash of e3932991f097993602af3c7a4b61a4f8.
2) Power down, remove SD card, and boot into FASTBOOT mode by pressing Vol-Down+End/Power (to get to HBOOT mode), and then press the Send button to go into FASTBOOT mode.
3) Plug the PC and phone together via USB; when you do this you should see the phone display "FASTBOOT USB" (rather than just FASTBOOT). Verify that you have the necessary PC drivers installed by running the command
Code:
fastboot devices
If you see nothing displayed, you are not communicating correctly (probably a driver issue); if you are successfully communicating, from the PC to the phone, you will see the Eris Device ID display (starts with "HT...."). If you don't see this, you need to fix your driver issues - there is no point in continuing beyond this point if your PC is not communicating with the phone
4) Install the Amon_RA recovery using fastboot with the command:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery-RA-eris-v1.6.2.img
(The fastboot utility will report that it is first transferring the image, and then that it is being flashed on the phone.)
5) After that command completes, wait 10 seconds or so, and pull the battery in the phone to shut it down.
6) Replace the battery and reboot into recovery by holding Vol-Up+End/Power simultaneously.
If this doesn't work, Re-root the phone using the same PB00IMG.ZIP file you used before (put the SD card back in the phone, with that PB00IMG.ZIP file in the root folder, and boot into HBOOT mode with Vol-Down+End/Power), and then after you have re-rooted the phone, re-perform steps 4-6 above.
The most likely reason you experienced the problem you did is that you incorrectly transferred the "recovery.img" (or recovery-RA-eris-v1.6.2.img) file to the SD card - probably you unmounted the card from the PC incorrectly (without ensuring write-back caches on the PC were flushed), and you actually installed a corrupted or truncated version of the file to the recovery partition onto the phone.
Using the fastboot flashing method eliminates that potential source of error as it pushes a copy of the file from the PC itself - and that should have already been verified by you to have the correct MD5 checksum (instructions in step #1 above).

The Amon-Ra Recovery image via fastboot worked perfectly! Thank you!
Hello
I installed BMM on a RAZR MAXX and then a MIUI v5 ROM on slot 1.
My phone is:
RAZR MAXX XT910
System: 982.124.17.XT910.AmericaMovil.en.01
Baseband: U_1C.76.FCP
Webtop: wt-3.0.0
Kernel: 3.0.8-g3fd3f14 [email protected] #1 SMP PREEMPT Fri Mar 1 12:29:35 CST 2013
APFlex: GAS_LA_SPYJBLACLACLAROPR_P003 GAS_LA_SPYJBLACLACLAROPR_P009
Build: 9.8.2O-124_SPUL-17
Almost everything works fine.
The only thing that is not smooth is that the phone always enters in AP Fastboot Flash mode each and every time I restart it or switch it OFF/ON so that I have to press the 3 buttons together and then select "Normal PowerUp" in the next menu.
I tried to "Fix permissions" in BMM but my issue was not fixed.
I also tried this:
entered in Fastboot, started "cmd", got into the kernel folder and instead of "fastboot flash boot boot.img" I tried "fastboot oem fb_mode_clear ".
I got an OKAY after the command but in the end nothing changed.
Any advice?
Thanks!
Hello ALL!
I have problem with my Atrix. I've read a lot of threads... but now I really need expert opinion.
1) I tried to use RDS Lite 5.3.1 to reprogram my Moto with sbf (http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1125944) file taking into account HOW TO FLASH A SBF: on the first page of this thread. I have 4.5.91 version (I bought my phone about mounth ago in amazon). I put my device in RSD Protocol Mode, but RSD Lite did not see my phone.
what could be a reason? what could I do?
2) I tried another mode: BP HW Bypass RSD
There was message on the phone screen:
" BP HW Bypass RSD
Starting USB3 Hardware Bypass RSD Mode
BP switched to RSD mode"
in this case RSD Lite see my Motorola
(
Bootload Version v0x00110
Phone type: Production (30098D9D3030313430310810060B)
Model
Flash MDM6600
)
I tried to flash with sbf file Atrix 4G - US MB860
Branding: AT&T US
Version: 4.5.91 NO DOWNGRADE
Android Version: 2.3.4 NEW!
Bootloader Version: N/A
Webtop version: N/A
Requires RSD Lite 5.0.0
Requires Moto Android (De)packer 1.3 to edit.
Firsly I renamed 1FF-olympus-user-2.3.4-4.5.91-110625-release-keys-signed-ATT-US-GAS_NA_OLPSGBATTSPE_P011.sbf to 1FF.sbf. Pressed start. After fisrt task went to 100% had Error:
"Status:
Failed flashing process. Phone(0000)Phone is not compatible with multi-interface super file (0x703B; phone connected)".
3) Android recovery mode doesn't work. After standard procedure, I had message on the phone screen:
" Android recovery
Failed to boot 2"
Do you need any additional information?
Do you have any suggestions?

Ever since I did factory reset on my Infinix X690b, the sim card refused to detect and baseband is unknown... Normally flashing stock rom should restore the phone back to its original state and fix the baseband unknown issue, but after I flashed the phone's stock rom, the baseband unknown wasn't fix.
I decided to proceed to writing IMEI despite baseband unknown, but the phone refused to boot to meta mode. I have tried the above steps after i unlocked the phone's boot loader, but still nothing worked. (Someone said that the metamode of the phone is corrupt), which flashing of stock rom should easily fix, but somehow flashing stock rom isn't fixing it.
The phone boots into preloader and brom mode effortlessly, but has refused to boot to meta mode., if i try to boot into meta, it'll make connecting and disconnecting sounds, until the phone starts charging or boots up by itself.
The phone's build number is X690B-H691DE-Q-GL-220215V356, and I have downloaded 2 stock rom that has exact match as the device's build number.
Moving on, I was able to detect the phone's build number through fastboot mode as version-baseband: MOLY.LR12A.R3.MP.V94.4.P48 but in device info, it is saying baseband unknown. flashing stock rom didn't restore the baseband.
I have also flashed the stock rom with MTK Client, and still the baseband unknown wasn't fixed. Pls help me on how to fix this, thanks guys
