when i tried to install the ROM and boot it...i get forclose saying "the process com.android.phone has stopped unexpectedly" repeatdly i did a wipe...clear cache...cleared dalvik cache and bat stats and still no good does anyone know how i can fix this plz this onlii happens with his new V05 release...plz help im desperate here
start over again from flashing the .435 firmware
install the base rom first, let it settle then install updates
i did a fresh installation of the stock 2.1 fw from xda...and then i installed the root and xrec via FT .2.9 and then did a wipe data...cleared cache and dalvik and bat stats...and chose install custom rom from sd and installed the CM 6.1.3 [v05] and then the update of 0.54...and when it boots...the CM bootscreen does not appear...and then it goes to the home screen and i get that error message=(
Try again, but flash v.05 then reboot, then install the update 054.

Does your network notification keep showing that you're connected for a sec and then disconnects again and again? And like you said the force close message for com.android.phone process keeps popping up.
If so, from my experience it's caused by the old SIM card not being supported by the ROM and not able to connect to the cell network. Might wanna consider go to your carrier's local shop to get a new SIM card then.
But I could be wrong about your situation tho ..
I've used it with allot of success however, I am much prefering the 2.3 roms now.. Specially with the bootloader being cracked for the X10 we can start to work on some nice little kernel tweaks

let 05 boot before you install .54

what i did is flash a custom rom 2.1 vanilla then flash again with WB rom..then all FC after boot disappear..

yes it does...i got a new sim card from Fido my carrier and it worked...but now the onlii problem is that when i install the V05 and install the update...the CM logo at boot does not show up and it gives me a wlod(1st time at boot...i dunno if its normal)...but if i install the V05 and reboot the logo shows up...but as soon as i go into xrec and install the 054update...the logo is gone...and my other problem is that its not recognizing my sd card(the stock that came with the phone)

When installing Wolf's V05, it is normal to have the wlod at 1st boot//boot animation is removed in 054 update//For SD Card not being recognized, try backing up your files to PC then format sdcard then copy back your files.

Help plz. I had heard that it would take ages however about 1 and a half hours have passed, it is still stuck in bootlogo. What can I do?
Hi...what you do is remove the program manually through xrecovery...get into xrecovery and scroll down to partition tools...then go to mount usb...from there scroll and find the file on your computer...i forget the exact name but i think its called "data image". Delete that via usb from your computer and it should solve it.

The only way to install data2sd without bootloop issue is to flash it using xrecovery at the same time as new rom. NO REBOOT INBETWEEN!!! Worth doing tho as its working on mine with cm 2.2 v4.5 with 4.5.7update and boosts quadrant score from 1400 to 2400. So I installed 4.5 zip 4.5.7 zip gapps zip then data2sd zip with no reboot in-between. Works a charm
Sent from my x10i running custom CM 2.2 rom. Quadrant score 2490
Do you actually see a notable change? I feel a quadrant score is just a quadrant score and no drastic effect can be seen.
Two big improvements are no lag when running multiple apps in background and an extra 45 MB of phone memory

Also stuck at bootlogo...
But since installing data2SD i am also unable to acces xRecovery
I even tried it without SD card and SIM card but with no luck.
So i'm still stuck at the SonyEricsson boot logo.
What are my alternatives to regain access?
BTW: Using CM7 2.3.3
Flash the original SE rom using flashtool..I had the same..you need to be quick to press 'ok' if flashtool asks you to connect ur phone in recovery mode.
check the topsticky in this forum.

Thanx, I'll read that sticky.
Do i also need to flash another baseband (currently on .52), which matches the SE firmware?
And with flashing the original firmware, does it also mean that i need to install xrecovery again?

oh and about the baseband, it is included in the SE firmware, so it will get the correct baseband for the SE firmware
Ok. Won't be a problem for me.
Will do it when i get home from work.
Thanks! I hope this explantion will help other people too.
[EDIT]
It was easy to go back to original firmware. the topsticky helpdek alot.
Rooted again, busybox and xRecovery.
I'm back on 2.3.3: Yes!
ok guys heres what I have done:
1) ive rooted my phone using Superoneclick
That worked fine....
2) Next I have installed Root Explorer
3) I have installed Xrecovery - xrec given super user to my folders( i tried the other one you guys suggest but it kept asking me for which phone i had and mine wasnt listed (x10 mini pro)
4) Next I downloaded and put the ROms onto my sdcard
I put on Srom-2.2.1 Froyo-v8.zip, slade87_MiniCm7_v15.0.zip (and the CM6 one), robynten.zip and Andread 2.2.1 pro v4.zip
5) Ive gone into XREC after Sony Logo and installed one of the ROMS
6) rebooted phone, either stuck on splash screen or in a loop
7) gone back into XREC and tried a different ROM
8) same problem!
tried all the ROMS, none of them will boot up my phone...
According to Superoneclick im rooted ok, even tried reformatting card and doing again...
None of these work...
Any ideas where I am going wrong here?
would appreciate any help
pulling my hair out
seriously guys whats going wrong?
ive reinstalled the rom from sony update service and started again completely from scratch...
I have done this -
Root : Automate Installation
1. Download attached file "SuperOneClick".
2. Enable "USB Debug".
3. Connect phone to "PC" and select "Charge Phone".
4. Open "SuperOneClick" and select "Root".
5. Wait!
6. When it is done, reboot.
xRecovery : Manual Installation
- Phone must be rooted
- Download and install Titanium Backup. Run it and press Problems to install busybox or you can install standalone busybox in market !
- Download attached file and unpack the recovery package in to sdcard
- Use Root Explorer to remount /system rw
- Copy the content of the package (3 files) into /system/bin folder
- Chmod 777 for 3 files copied !
How to use xRecovery :
- Reboot your phone !
- Press BACK button few times right after white SE logo appears.
- Use VOLUME-UP and VOLUME-DOWN to browse, HOME to select, BACK to go back.
Ive done exactly as above and gone into XREC and installed the CM6 V5-XRECOVERY ROM and the phone is stuck on the splash screen
im pulling my hair out now as ive followed that guide exactly with a ROM which everyone says is stable
I have an X10 mini pro phone, all rooted, correct permissions and cant get it to boot with any of these custom roms
please help guys ill buy u beer! lol
Probably baseband mismatch, for sonybread and andread u require latest firmware 2.1.1.C.0.0 AND FOR some others its 2.1.1.A.0.6
And some roms are flashed using cwm nd some by xRecovery....
Goto recovery
Do a factory reset
and then install update.zip from sd card
here install this

Hello
This is the info from the service menu:
phone software version: 1235-3411_2.1.1.A.0.6
File system: World-1-8_2.1.1.A.0.6
The ROM you linked to is the one I tried to install, i believe there is one the says for XREC and one that says for CWM
I didnt manage to get either to work and infact after installing one ROM instead of back button taking me into XREC program, it then took me into the CWM Recovery so i guess the ROM also installs that?
I will try to install this ROM you linked again, is this for 2.1.1.A.0.6 and XREC or is it for CWM?
thank you

It's for xrecovery, yes, the rom installs CWM 3.2.0.0 instead of xrecovery, but xrec and CWM are kinda the same, so it shouldn't be a problem
Oh, and you have right kernel

seems odd that i can install Iridium and not the other roms?

hi galvic
just doing that now, im away on holiday in a few hours so ill finish it when i get back
ive been through this process quite a lot now so i think im missing something. Ill have a reread through the guides and see if i did miss anything
My whole reason for updating is because my screen isnt rotating. It is stuck in landscape mode (some apps like pinball play in portrait though?)
I downloaded some calibration apps and it shows the phone is rotating on x y and z but the software doesnt rotate(the option is ticked in settings)
Is there a sensor for the keyboard opening and closing? maybe i have a hardware issue?
If its a hardware issue than stock 2.1 shouldnt work? Is it working correctly???
you need to have right Baseband version
Most of all rom need M76XX-TSNCJOLYM-53404015 baseband version and 2.1.1.A.0.6 frimware.
For SonyBread same basedand version and new 2.1.1.C.0.0 frimware.
i think that's why you have problem with keyboard and sensor.
half fixed

sorry for late replies ive been on holiday
retried everything and still was stuck on the "slide keyboard back to continue" message
finally got the latest Andread rom to work
my screen doesnt rotate (the reason i wanted to update in first place)
Im assuming theres a hardware fault with the keyboard not being detected as nothing happens when i slide the keyboard
thanks for all your help going to stick with this andread 2.2.9 pro v8

Install clockwork recovery or Root toolbox or any other root tool and click on "FIX PERMISSION" this option is available in the advanced menu somewhere
this is what i did when my apps got forced closed... It worked for me, might just work for you guys aswell!
When you flash 2.3.3 and start phone it always show force close
juat switch off phone go in recovery mode and factory resate and wipe cache and reboot your phone started
No matter from which rom u came, if u installed kpn, u need to wipe data partition/cache via recovery to make it work. That error is from google account setup process. Trust me, do a wipe data/cache and that error will gone for good.

HI,
My dell streak gets stuck on dell logo and then reboots again and again. it was not rooted and was working fine on froyo 2.2 O2.
Ive tried installing the update package from recovery mode by selecting install update.pkg from sd card but i get an error saying e:can't mount update.pkg.
After searching i performed an memory test from fastboot; Sd card test passes but the internal memory test fails and gives an error: Cmd/Data test fail. a few days back my computer had a trojan virus and it was converting the folder into shortcuts. I dont know for sure but i think it could have been the cause of this problem as i plug my phone to the pc almost everyday

The trojan you are talking most surely affect only the SDcard, a friend of mine had the same issue on a different device.
I would recommend installing a custom Recovery like Streakmod, flash 366 bb and a ROM like DSC, Longhorn or LXdroid, as those mentioned have the universal kernel that don't check the BaseBand.
Totally wiping everything is a must!
Flashing recovery can be done easely using the MultiFlashing tool provided in the Android Development section, so all this mess wouldn't take more than 1 hour (with reading and wandering if it's safe - it is safe, ia assure you )
Hope this helps/works

Well, i will update the first post of my LXdroid ROM with a tutorial, if you want a fully funtional with the least amounts of bugs i will recommend DSC ROM.
But this is not required if you want to keep the original 2.2 firmware, as almost all the custom ROM's that i've talked about are 2.3.x.
the tutorial will be written, Your choice

As far as i know, you can't possibly install update.pkg using custom recovery, you must install a stock recovery and after that you can flash the update.pkg as it is (update.pkg), changing the extension does nothing
Hope this helps.

Search the forum as there should be an article covering the process. In short, you either have to take the Streak apart, or cut away some of the plastic above the SIM card slot to get to the internal MicroSD.
Hello to everyone,
i have a ds5 with 2.2.2 android, kernel version 2.6.32-perf
i had intalled an application called titanium back up and when i install the latest update all my problem started.
my greek keybord doesnt working and enerything else.
i remove the program that causes all this but the phone didnt get right.
i had to remove every single one of my applications and games, then install again so that can be open.
but even now sometimes the programmes crash. its very annoying,
can i fix this?
can i put any new rom? an update or sth else? i want my phone to be at its best again. thanks
You should upgrade to DSC 2.3(gb 2.3.3) or PCM7(gb 2.3.7) rom. Go to the development theard and find how to install it, good luck

I have similar rebooting issue with my gf's streak 5. It keeps rebooting while she is on candy crush game or any other games. It reboots more frequently while playing games than doing other task like music or video streaming via dlna etc.
It is on
ROM: LXDroid ROM 0.2
Kernel: DSC 2.6.35.14-DSC-Team-Phoenix
Baseband: GAUSB1A132013-EU
Android 2.3.7
I am not sure what is the exact problem. I am from Singapore, could it be due to the baseband version that i am using that causing these random reboots?

You could flash the new CM kernel (U30 is latest I think). Also downclocking the CPU could help to prevent reboots.

tried phoenix kernel u30 on PCM7...my streak always freeze when using mobile data waiting 30 minute...screen still no respon and won't reboot,so i remove the battery and put it back but the issues is coming back
and same happen on other CM7 rom like longhorn n lxdroid
yes it doesn't reboot but mobile data freeze issues make me frustated
NB : i won't changed other cusROM...i love CM7 but how to fix my issues ?!
try pcm7
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1977598
but use the original one, not the updated one...
and no need to flash phoenix kernel...
and also use 366bb...
after flashing, of course do the resets and everything and then set network preferences to wcdma only and untick use only 2g network, and for access point, select 3g connection for your telco
After you flash rom and BB,before you reboot. . . . Hit the reset/wipe in streakmod recovery. . . . Then hit reboot. . . . But before it reboots. . . . Go into "stock" recovery (not streakmod) and hit factory reset
I had reboot loop probelms on afew different roms. . . Until i did this

Ide like to add. . . . I think if you have an old battery,or a bad one,it will restart randomly also. . . . . even if plugged in

is that true?
see,i having random reboot and mobile data freeze issues during 2 month...I've been many times to change CusROM,Kernel,Baseband, until I replace new innersd 4GB Class 4
but until now 2 this problem hasn't been solved
pcm 7 i need to flash it twice... one when it hangs... and then i flash again... this time not doing any factory reset... and it should boot successfully... of course i use 366bb at that time..
I guess its not your battery then,i just noticed how mine after 2 years, its not holding a charge and rebooting sometimes when it "shows" it has power
Have you tried flashing your rom and factory reseting. . . . at the same time
In other words,as soon as you flash your rom,and while still in streakmod. . . . hit factory reset. Then after that, reboot back into stock recovery and reset

If it's possible damage to hardware? If that so, which part I've to change/Repair?
Please Help!!! there are other ways to solve my problem.
I found a lot of Streak users have the same problem as me and the problem still unsolved
I really love my Streak I want my streak back to normal.
