[Q] How about DSP manager for optimus one? - Optimus One, P500, V General

It says something about building it from android source and it should work with any android 2.2 device, well here's their main site:
http://bel.fi/~alankila/android-dsp/
Maye someone with more experience can make it work for O1.

You could give this a try: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=783737

Sorry to disappoint you.....but I tried it and it renders your p500 either audio-less or results in bootloop.

Tested the link badeaioan gave a few weeks ago. Makes my phone freeze when trying to play anything.
Also, if someone can build a ROM from source maybe it could work xD

Its already working fully on gingerbread o1 roms.
Sent from my LG-P500 using Tapatalk

also tested badeaioan's link. Same result, no sound and sometimes freeze.

yep, we all know it as a gingerbread native app/feature but some people would also prefer to stay on Froyo and still have DSP manager(or at least better sound with speaker/headphones). Well in my part i'm just pointing out a link for someone with enough time and knowledge who would also like to have this feature on his froyo runnin O1.

Sorry if you had any problems I haven't tested it.

regarding free X10 2.2 beta 4

i dont mean to rush the developers by thiis but more a question of curiosity
will the 2.2 froyo rom make it out of beta and into a stable rom with total funcionality?
because i already see a gingerbread rom up too lol how would a gingerbread rom pop up before the froyo was finished?
EDIT -- i get it, stupid question and i apologize if i offended anybody
It's a polite way to say it but its still rude. I have beta 4 for freex10 2.2 and its pretty stable, but it has its bugs. Camera even works with an app called vignette. Camcorder works with videocamera illusion. Its not done but I use it for everyday use without an issue. You should try it.
And I too use beta3 with vignette and. Videcam illusion and no problems at all, no reboots or weird activity or anything....better than what I was getting from 1. 6 or 2.1 that's for sure.

Although 2.3 is out, 2.2 is better than 2.1 in my opinion because of its faster speed. It's much cleaner and without a lot of junk like 2.1 has. The themes are also really cool too. I usually don't find any problems with it much unless you happen to bring something from 2.1 to 2.2 which might screw things up a little.
Since it's so easy why don't you develop a 2.2 rom then?

once again .. didint mean to rush or be rude or anything, just curious to see if 2.2 wouldnt get completed as a result of trying to perfect the newcomer 2.3
i know these devs are doing this for us, and they are doing a fantastic jjob
since i joined xda i have learned alot and done a few mods, but im still a bit skeptical about jumping into a beta rom in case of problems, my phone is something i need to work anytime no excuses.. i cant afford to be caught with a phone that doesnt call out or something
I'm sure z will finish his at some point. As will trip and the others. Just relax at this point and use what you can to speed up 2.1. Once they are final then make a jump. I run the cyanogen combo rom as a daily and haven't had too many bugs but if you need rock solid stability stick with se firmware for now.

I love the beta⁴ does every thing I need it for. I do hope we end up with HD video recording, but even if it never happens this is a quantum leap over 1.6 that SE delivered

I installed wolfbreaks free 2.2/cm mod rom. I'd had a couple of 2.1 roms but took the plunge, the difference is pretty amazing. Quadrant score is 13500-14000 with apps, totally stable and a world apart from 1.6...

[Q] Upgrade to Gingerbread?

Hello! I am new to this forum. I have a Samsung Vibrant (SGH-T959), which I successfully upgraded to Froyo.UVKA6. How do I upgrade further, to Gingerbread (Android 2.3)? I tried to Root my phone using that one-click rooting program, but I guess I was doing something wrong, and it didn't work (three times). Thank you for your response.
No official 2.3 yet
and no stable 2.3 (?) for normal daily use yet

he said "no official 2.3" CM7 isn't official but i suggest the OP tries out CM7 its fast, a few bugs, that will be fixed by the dev team, but besides that... its great!
Since there was a samsung gingerbread leak for i9000 a few days ago. I imagine we will see a vibrant leak soon.

With All due respect, perhaps you should just stick to 2.2 for now. While CM7 is a semi-viable option it is a bit more complex than flashing many of the more "standard" 2.2 roms.
Be patient, there are many custom roms you could look into that will surely boost your phones potential greatly while you wait for 2.3 builds to grow and develop.
Try out Bionix Version 1.3 (I believe) or Trigger 2.7. Those are my personal favorites. Right Now I am using a 2.2.1 Rom called Sweet Honey, which is great, but I haven't had enough time with it to give a proper judgment.
Look at the more stable options first, get used to things, learn how to use Odin, about download mode, the different recoveries, even about jigs (if needed); before you dive head first into this cesspool of amazing roms, kernels, themes and talented developers. There's a lot of options that are far less likely to brick your phone.
This thread is a good way to start.

(ROM) The Two Orphan-teer's My First Rom!!

First i would like to say i take NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR A BRICKED DEVICE!! I also would like to thank Arrayray for his ROM and also Nerd019 for teaching me how to set up/ create a ROM. Well here we go! This rom is stock 2.2 froyo with a slight change in apps and launcher....i removed a few apps that were un-needed along with throwing in the Experia Launcher....(sorry i have no idea what the real name is )

I would also like to see Sense, I'm still on HaXspresso, hopfully Cyanogenmod's Roms are just as stable?

for some reason when i started re-downloading apps from the market, tweetdeck would not show up. i even tried using titanium where i had i backed up and it would not install. sorry but i NEED tweetdeck.
now if youre asking what i want i would tell you this:
tweetdeck, better battery life (like i get with aray roms), and for some reason ill lose signal when my phone sleeps when using cm7. everything else is good.
I havent tried it, but im sure its functional since its just a different launcher. A true dev in my opinion needs to know code. Thats why i dont concider myself a real dev. Anyone can mod a working rom, but when it comes to bringing a completely new rom to the table, you wont get everything working unless you got that coding knowledge.
Keep playing around in it. We have to start somewhere!

Hello this is cyanogen 2.3.3 i flash it but wifi is not working for me not even any original official cyanogen 7 for for me the wifi anyone know why?
Have you tried any other ROMs besides CM7? If your wifi is broken on any other non-CM7/6 ROMs, then it might just be your phone, dude. :/

I ran this ROM for about 3 days straight, and I really, REALLY liked it. The only thing I didn't like about it, though (Kinda nitpicking here) is the camera app. =/ But other than that, its a solid ROM <3. Maybe in a future update, you could replace that app with the normal one? And the stock Android theme (White taskbar) would be awesome too :3.

[Q] anything new or better in v20g..(hoping so)...

anyone who has tried v20g....is there any new changes...when compared to gb rom's from noejn/andy/mik??
Read all the Threads about V20G, you may find the Answer there.
Use search before asking such Questions.
Thanks
i wanted to get replies from ppl who have tried it..!!
posting such questions in developer forum isn't needed and searching hundreds of pages is tough...
you can enlighten me with the direct link..or teaching me efficient ways of searching..
All in all, no the V20x(A,G) arent better then Miks,Andys or Noejn Rom and Franko'S Kernel.
But sometime this Night/Morning (Europe) LG released the 2.3.3 Source and we can hope on better Kernels..and maybe more bugless Roms from the Devs.
It looks like Andy already started, and im sure Mik and the others will follow soon in the next Days.
Andy statet that they have to do a complete restart (rewrite?) with the Kernel.

Well, there's at least 2 things that will be better in the V20x kernels: UMS & (my pet peeve in both current GB roms) Bluetooth calling!
Lack of bluetooth calling has made me come back to Froyo (void.) every time. But I guess Andy and Mik_os won't be far behind now that the sources have been released.
does the kernel from the official sources fixed our multitouch axis inversion and touchbug?
if it is i will keep my phone happily

Nothing wrong with "plain CM7", but Birgertime's version is hardly a knockoff. If it weren't for him, we'd still be using mute/unmute on calls in CM7 and GPS would still not work. Many of his fixes have been rolled back into the official CM7 for Vibrant.

check cyanognemod.com forums for the device, and see what people are saying about it.
however, since you posted this in the vibrant themes and apps section your chances of getting an answer go down... significantly
if you really want to you can go through the change log http://cm-nightlies.appspot.com/?device=cdma_shadow

No intention of knocking any of the other Dev's here at all. In most cases that "I've" seen, ROMS built off of CM7 which already has issues of its own, tend to have more issues than not. I haven't tried any other GB ROM other than CM7 so I don't have any experience with them. I do know CM7 has worked perfectly for me so far, and I do know most of the problems encountered are from the end users.
Cheers
EDIT: Is phiremod even Birgertime's ROM? It's also built off of CM7 #74.
