[Q]Why my SO-01B cannot use JITv2? - XPERIA X10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

My SO-01B (2.1 rooted)
used xrecovery to flash JITv2 to my phone (wiped things already),
Then after reboot, it stay on Sony Ericsson logo and never go in to the system.
Can someone help my?

SO01b Docomo firmware not compatible with JIT, will not boot. If you use one of the Froyo 2.2 roms, no need to mess with JIT and much faster than 2.1.

I know that 2.2 is faster than 2.1,
however, I love the docomo logo and when it show japanese words, I will not have some monster characters><

SO-01B!!!!!

I have a NTT DOCOMO SO-01B and i can't wait update OTA.=.=.Website japan don't have any information for update. Can i flash the fw bi4n or try something for update 2.1?Thx for help!!!
I have an NTT Docomo SO-01B
I used Binary's method "X10Flash 2.1 final & 2.1 Firmware." You can find it on the X10 Development board.
Everything worked fine. It also includes the Japanese keyboard (which I prefer so much more over Simeji)!
You will lose access to the Mixi-supporting Timescape (no problem if you have no Mixi account). You also will lose access to the Docomo shop (in my opinion, again no problem).
After you finish, you can run Titanium Backup to remove the stuff you probably won't need (Chinese keyboard, Danish keyboard, a few localized apps, etc.).
Good luck..

now, both NTT Docomo and SonyEricsson announced SO-01B will update to 2.1 @ Nov 10

I used the nordic one - (same as benjn)
imo it's worth getting the update for the battery life alone.

[Q] NTT Docomo Xperia x10 Upgrading firmware to android 2.1

I am currently using NTT Docmo Xperia x10 on android 1.6. Its model is SO-01b and i want to upgarde to android 2.1 and unlock the phone as well. But i am not clear which version to use , nordic or global. I am not sure but on according to wikipedia nTT docomo so-01b is based on x10a.
Please someone help me if anyone could give me suggestion.
My Docomo X10 is flashed to global generic 2.1 and running just fine.
Just don't forget to write down your APNs so you can put them back.
You want the "bizho" one, since that's the network where your internet fees are capped.
Thanks for the response gtkashi.I am now in Nepal and want to make the phone work here in Nepal by upgrading to android 2.1. Could u please clarify me whether flashing would make the phone sim free.
it won't. You're just updating the software, not unlocking the phone.
Get in contact with nttdocomo to see what their policies/costs for unlocking your phone are or try to see whether there's some shady services for unlock codes by now.
Global to Docomo firmware 2.1
With this upcoming update for Docomo, if you currently have global 2.1, how would we "instruct" SEUS to flash the Docomo firmware? Would we need to edit some *.prop ?
Personally I'm hoping someone would extract the firmware itself so that the flasher tool can be used to overwrite the existing one.
Either way, 30 min til Nov 10!

[Q] SE X10 and new ROM

Hi there to everybody.
I have an x10. I rooted it a while ago. Installed xrecovery, busy box and finally custom ROM. However now, I want to get back to the android 2.1 to make it ready for an update to android 2.3 via PC companion, but the problem is, I don't know how to get back to the 'factory settings', I mean those real ones, cuz when I click restore factory settings it just removes all the stuff from my phone and leaves me with the custom rom. PC companion is not working either for a repair. I don't really know what shall I do.
I was trying to find a thread like that but I could not find it.
cheers

Flash 2.1 firmware with the flashtool, or use SEUS to get back.
Do u have a backup of ur original rom in xrec. What I did was wipe the usual and restore my se backup then let sues do its stuff
Sent from my X10i using XDA Premium App
thank you very much for the reply. I think there is no backup with xrecovery cuz when I reset the phone and start xrecovery (the one where you use sound buttons to navigate) and i click factory reset, it resets the phone to custom rom. I think that flashtool will do it as I understand. I will give me the original software and it will let me to unroot the phone so I can easily upgrade the phone to android 2.3 via pc companion. That's what I understood and I hope it is right .
btw, in that link that 'hasei' posted, there is a list of generic firmwares. Does it mean if I just download and install 'Generic version 2.3.3 build 3.0.1.G.0.75' using xrecovery and is it the same as android 2.3 installed via pc companion. Is there any difference? Is any of them any better from the other? Is it identical to the one made by sony ericsson? Cuz I think that what the word 'generic' stands for. Sorry for the silly questions but I wanna make sure and I will appreciate any answers.
I just installed 2.1 firmware using flashtool, so there is 2.1-update1 installed. However using pc companion I still cannot upgrade my software to 2.3 using pc companion. Don't know what to do.
n0rbas,
"Generic version 2.3.3 build 3.0.1.G.0.75" is the SE's official 2.3 firmware. "Generic" only means that it's not carrier-branded and nothing was added by a carrier. I guess you could say "pure" Sony Ericsson.
If you are not hell-bent on upgrading the firmware through PC Companion, you can flash the 2.3 firmware through the flashtool, just as easy as you did 2.1. I would take this route if I were you.

thank you for the reply.
I tried to do it, but that 2.3 version is not the one provided by sony ericsson, the graphics is different, I just want to be able to install the sony ericsson one and cannot even If I have a 2.1, it says that it is up to date when using pc companion. Shall I unroot the phone or what? I have no idea.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1186045
It really depends on what version of X10 (X10i or X10a) you have and where you are. There are so many kinds of 2.1 firmware, branded or otherwise. You just have to have the right combination of a customization number/unrooted 2.1 firmware to upgrade through the official means.
I don't know what you meant by "the graphics is different," but with all due respect, you are incorrect. All the firmwares shown in that flashtool thread are unchanged sony ericsson ones. But if you think it's different, go with the PC Companion thing by all means.
If you have an X10a, it will be a long wait if any.
Ok, i checked it and it is apparently not out yet for my version. What I mean by the graphics. When you unblock the screen with the slider, the 2.3 has got the new one, the nice one and the one I installed it as a firmware has the 2.1 slider. There are many kind of things that are not in generic 2.3. To be honest I want 2.3 for its graphics. I will try to find 2.3 somewhere else and install it. If it won't work I gonna wait. cheers

[Q] X10 2.3.3 Stock ROM question

Hello,
I'm from Chile and we use the CMDA standard, and I have an X10a. I have an X10 and I've flashed some stock ROMs with 2.3.3 (with FlashTool because the SEUS doesn't recognize the update, even with a 2.1 generic ROM) but I'm having some issues, mainly with WiFi and the operator. It keeps sending me messages about some service that's not activated (I don't have plan data but I've deactivated all the connections on the X10) and other issues.
My doubt is, it's supposed that I've installed the generic ROM in my phone (the one that's on the FlashTool post) and it doesn't matter if your x10a or x10i, but could this difference indeed exist? Could it be that the one I've installed isn't the generic? The one I installed is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=920746&highlight=flashtool
Thanks a lot,

[Q] Confused over which Firmware to flash

hello guys,
have got SE xperia x10 from US,
have unlocked the same from AT&T to make it generic.
currently running on android 2.1
Firmware version
2.1 update 1
Baseband version
2.1.54
Kernel version
2.6.29
Build Number
2.1.A.0.435
I want to install xrecovery on my X10i, which i am unable uptill now.
My x1o is rooted somedays ago thru superoneclick.
can anyone suggest me the exact firmware to flash in my phone as i have unlocked my phone which was previously x10a US AT&T... and now its x10i generic.
Thanks.
You can install: http://www.multiupload.com/SR8R1B5KII
Using: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=920746
That's x10a AM-US GB 1233-822
US generic Gingerbread for x10a.
You can then root using: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1196421
And install xrecovery right after you're done and booted up.(You have to choose ask root perms on flashtool first before you can)
The option should be enabled on flashtool when you boot up.
Thanks Dark Nightmare,
done!!!.... kudos to the flash tool owners...
had a small prob after i had flashed the fw...
the phone wasnt detecting the memory card even if i had formated the same on the PC...
tried my memory card on other smart fone, and it worked perfectly fine...
solution: format in a nokia fone and u r done.... everything works perfectly after that....
