Hi,
Because I've no 10 posts, I can't post in Developer section.
So, what about Honeycomb? Some Devs develop Honeycomb-ROMs for Folio, so I wanted to ask, how far the Development is.
And maybe, you (Devs) could tell me also, when it could be ready, because I just had to reinstall the ROM and if Honeycomb would be ready for Folio in maybe 2 weeks, I wouldn't take much time for set up my Tab with Apps, Homescreens etc.
So, thank you
Regards Flo
P.S. Please excuse my bad english, I'm german and not as good in english, as it could be called good...
i think we will wait a long time
lack of driver is the main problem

Believing this, it could be really good by now. DerArtem had got success with the Kernel and MrMEEE with the drivers.
Hey Dexter or other Honeycomb-Developers,
Maybe you read this - I still can't post in the Developer section. How far is the Development? I could also test Honeycomb before release. So, if there's any information or need for testing, I'm here
well done ,Cowboy!!

But... what help me this J2EE dev??
Nokser, if U can tell us how look project WP7?
This is now the 3rd thread at my count discussing WP7 for TG01 including Noksers.
The tools to build a WP7 rom are just not available to us at the moment, i understand there is development in this area on the HD2 but that doesn't mean that it will ever come to the TG01. I hope it will, but i doubt it will be for a while yet. We can't even get android running and we have devs that know linux. WP7 is a completely new beast that we must tame and constantly asking " is it available, will you make it for me, i want it now" won't speed up the dev process.
I understand that discussing these things is helpful but these threads are fairly pointless. If you want info on porting WP7 then go to the WP7 section of the forums, badgering nokser or anybody else will not make it happen and opening a new thread just makes the relevant information difficult to find.

Hey guys,
let me start with a quick BIG thanks to all the great chefs in the HD2 cooking class! I have seen many improvements in my device from it's original ROM and it seems it is getting better and better every day! Now my question is when can we realistically expect Windows 7 on HD2? I've seen that it's been cooked in (as shown in yahoo) already but do we have an estimate of when we can have a working ROM? is anybody working on it? is there any problems with the upgrade and our device compatibility?
Well Mr. Observer, let me start by saying your observation skills are lacking. You would know that realistically the first question you should ask yourself is, When was the last time a rom chef had given an ETA for a rom that they had no drivers for was? Or even better, When was the last time a rom chef had given an ETA for anything?
Start with those questions, and then you'll soon come to an answer.
No, you shouldn't

I think he is not asking for a firm ETA.
more like if there are any cooks already working on it.
XDA cooks are known to do wonders and that's why he is wonder if anyone is cooking anything soon.

I think people like you take all the energy out of everything.. personally i find critical people very useless! if you have nothing to add to the conversation then why join it? looking back at your last few posts (where you're giving **** to someone for spelling errors in a worldwide site where many people use English as 2nd or 3rd language) i really come to understand your attitude pretty well.
....ignoring the above and going back to my original question! I know you guys like to keep it a surprise but is anyone actually working on it good people?
here is a link to what seems to be a legit coocked rom from Cotulla

I can tell you exactly what Windows 7 on HD2 will not, but the Windows Phone 7 possible!
Hi dudes!
I just bought my first Android phone - Huawei U8150 IDEOS. It has Froyo on it and it is "with Google" on the back, which by the reviews means that is with bold Android 2.2 and not with some apps from the manufacturer.
But, as this is my first phone on Google, I would like some recommendations for apps, security maybe, what to do with it, and of course some basics about the Android itself because I don't know nothing about it. Don't be angry at me for that, and I know that this is not the COOLEST phone (by coolest probably means most expensive ) but it is enough (given the money amount spent on it).
Am, also I live on the Balkan so probably some apps for US region may not work for me.
Any tip and info will be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!
Am.....sorry if there is some other thread like this one out there, I searched and - no results, but again, I may be mistaken. So if there is something like this, please let me know and then close the thread. THANKS!
Bye!
SORRY GUYS, PLEASE CLOSE THIS THREAD AS I SEE THAT THIS IS NOT THE PLACE, I JUST SAW ANDROID ON MY PAGE SO I THOUGHT THIS IS IT. BUT IT IS THE CHEFS CENTRAL. SORRY AGAIN. BYE!
Closed as per OP's request.
Hi XDA,
I found This link by searching and found it useful, as someone who has NEVER used a smartphone until x10, and therefore never used cyanogen!!
My point is just this, I have no idea if ALL of the above link is applicable to us but I for one don't know the advantages/how to use these features to my advantage.
Please, before anyone shouts - i intended to research cm7 for myself, but am no good at "how-Toos'" and wonder if it would be a good idea for someone in the x10 forums to explain a little, before the questions fly in! Specifically regarding Zmod or official, if that is later supported???
do you think we need one? I have no idea. if so, could someone please? therein lies my question. thank-you for your time.
p.s., i love Z's rom, but he clearly avoids giving any explanation about cm7 and understandably so; i quote "This mod is so well-known that I will just skip the introduction ". Unfortunately for me, I am one of the few who this doesn't apply to!!
wow, i thought that was good question! I won't bump this again unless replied to, cheers.
Hello everyone,
At first, as a new member, let me congratulate you for this amazing forum and the community that is built around it. A lot of useful and interesting stuff can be found here, and I know that it takes a lot of hard work to boost and maintain a forum to this high-quality level, create a community and share knowledge, so thank you for that and keep up the good work.
To get to the point, I recently became the owner of a Google Nexus 5 and 3 days ago I upgraded the preinstalled Android 4.4 to Android 5.0. Before that, I used a Nokia N900 phone with Maemo 5 and ArchLinux (desktop Linux Distribution), and this Nexus became my introduction to the Android operating system for the first time.
So as a newbie to Android, I want to ask toy a few questions on how to make some things done.
While I had my Android rooted before, after the upgrade it probably needs rooting again, so I'd be grateful if someone points out a link to a tutorial that describes this process. I also need to install an anti-theft application, and from what I've seen, Cerberus just does what I want, but I need to install it in a way that even if someone restored the phone to its default settings or even format it, the application woud stay in place. From what I've read, it is possible, right? I don't know how, maybe it has something to do with the ROM, which brings me to my next question. Custom ROMs, what are they? How do they get installed and which one do you suggest for Nexus 5?
As for now, those are my questions. I know that I could use Google to find out more about those stuff, but I really want to learn how they work, not just how to accomplish them, and all my searches in Google result in different ways to achieve the same thing, a fact that confuses me instead of teaching me stuff. That's why I ask here.
So, if anyone could point out some links or explain to me how to do the things I want, I'd be very grateful.
Also, besides all those things, any suggestions you might have of any nature, I'd be glad to hear them and they'll be much appreciated!
Than you very much in advance. I appologize to the forum and its moderators if I posted this in a wrong category or broke any rule. I assure you that if I did, it was not intetional.
Best regards,
Elias
Should I post this over to the Google Nexus 5 forums?
[SOLVED]
Ok, after a lot of reading, I finally understood the whole concept of ROMs and Recovery.
For anyone having trouble with his first steps on those issues as well, the following links would be very useful:
