Hello,
I come to you because I have rooted the original ROM and installed a recovery cwm.
I made a backup of my original rom before installing CM7.
I have important business data on my backup of the original rom, I wanted to do a restore, but the phone gets stuck on the "galaxy ace".
Could someone help me?
thank you

I think so ... wait wait there's another thing u could do
In recovery mode ..go to backup/restore ---advanced restore ..and try to restore "android/ data " or whatever data files present ONLY ..see if this helps otherwise Odin is ur biatch
EDIT: I went in my recovery mode to see the options well u click on advanced restore and then " restore data" ... cheers
Your solution
I know one another method.
U should reinstall another rom wich cointais the APK ext4 in order to transform ur filesystem from etx4 to rfs.
Let it work, it will take several minutes, and then, ur system will be again rfs.
U should then go to recovery, and restore without any previous wipes your stock nandroid backup.
When the restoring has ended, reboot normally ur phone and u will have ur stcok rom as like as u did ur backup.
Enjoy!!
(i 've used it several times, last time yerterday night, i have proved it on Ks5 ks9)

have you got an example of this ROM with the apk ext 4 please ?
Custom rom?
SgS2 V7 got it.
Stock lite V6 got it.
Last time i did it with SGS2 V7.
I flashed the rom, i opened the EXT4 apk, and hitted the button convert to rfs.
Wait, reboot, and go to CWM5 and restore ur Backup.

Hi,
I am new to this forum, but I have solved many of my issues thanks to xda in the past, but now it's time to beg for your direct help.
I have recently rooted my phone, and today I was changing some system fonts (with ROM Toolbox Pro), rebooted the device (app asked me if I wanted to reboot now or wait) and then my phone was stuck in the post-bootanimation screen (gif). I can go to recovery (already tried to delete cache partition and reboot) and to download mode. It is very important for me to save the data on the phone. How can I get back to use my phone without losing my data? I thought I could flash some custom recovery and do some backup (this is only one of my wretched ideas, probably I'm wrong and it isn't possible).
Stock rom (touchwiz). Android 4.3 build MK6. I don't have a custom recovery.
Thank you.
EDIT: Moreover, when I pull out the battery (only way to power off) and put it back in, it automatically boots up (I don't need hold the power button as usual).
Flash philz recovery then use aroma file manager to save data to external sd.

I'm gonna try it immediately, thank you.
Is there any other way to fix this bootloop or to backup my data without installing Philz (the guide says to have a backup before installing the custom recovery, and I can't create one)?
Thank you.
No, the guide is giving good advice but no use in your case -you should have done a backup before you flashed.

You made to many treats about the same thing.
It looks like you are spamming the treats.
Look at this where I also answered your question.

Hi everybody,
Since I saw a lot of people on the forum asking for stock images of the HOX+ I thought I could just as well share mine. This is only for the INTERNATIONAL HOX+!
(Also this backup is already rooted)
CID: HTC_E11
MID: PM3511000
If you want to flash this backup you will need Philz Advanced CWM Recovery!
Once in the recovery perform a FULL WIPE/FACTORY RESET and push the folder called 2014-09-20.13.29.31_JRO03C to /sdcard/clockworkmod/backup/2014-09-20.13.29.31_JRO03C/ with the ADB Push command.
The folder has to be called '2014-09-20.13.29.31_JRO03C' otherwise the md5 wont work!
Now go to backup/restore in the recovery and select 'restore', Now it you can select the backup and it will automatically restore it.
You may need to flash the boot.img inside for it to be able to boot.
Once installed, it will ask you to update to android 4.2.2, now you can only do this if you flash the stock recovery.img inside the downloaded folder!!!

Can you give more detail about how you do it. I have TWRP but not sure which to back up. Should I check all the check marks?
Thanks!
