SD read and write speed optimiser for U20i/a - Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Mini

SD increase is an app to optimise the speed of Reading and writing on SD card,
while it doesnt actually do any good for me, here are the results
without SD cache increased

as you can see theres only +2 mb increase in reading speed.
what speed are you getting paste your screenshots.

Can you plz post the stats of your SD card, i guess its my SD card that sucks, i'm soon going to replace it with a Transcend Class 10 8GB SDHC card, that might improve my speed stats.

[Help]Format Error

Hi Guys,
I've been trying each and every MM rom out there and to end up with this error when I try to format my card as Internal Storage.

I've a lot of apps and had previously created a partition in my 64bg card and been using it with link2sd app on cm12.1 without any issues. I want to use MM rom as my daily driver and for this reason I'm unable to do so. If anyone have any solution, it would be much appreciated.
PS. I've tried 2 to 3 card and all had the same problem. The card that I own is a Samsung Evo+ 64GB Class 10 microSDXC Card.
Thanks in advance for your help.
I have the exact same issue. Hopefully someone who resolved this can chime in.
I ran into this error when trying to reformat my SD. There's another error that pops up briefly, too brief to capture easily, something about error 400, command failed, and then a warning about not ejecting the card without unmounting it first. So I tried again with logcat running, and found this:
03-11 13:40:55.441 222 233 I sgdisk : ***************************************************************
03-11 13:40:55.441 222 233 I sgdisk : Found invalid GPT and valid MBR; converting MBR to GPT format

So Android isn't going to be able to figure out how to upgrade an MBR partition table to a GPT one, but Parted4Android (search play store) was able to.
Don't use adoptable storage, it's so slow, not worthed. Better use foldermount or other apps to move data to ext storage.

Which performance do you get with adoptable storage?

Trying to get my son´s Moto-E running with more storage I tried out adoptable storage on MarshMallow.
But it was so slow, that it was not usable anymore with most of the apps. (mostly games)
Before that, it was running with Link2SD to use the SDCARD as additional storage quite well.
Then I tried to benchmark the disk-performance and that gives me an sort of explanation.
The SDCARD i used is a Lexar Class 10 64GB one, and this are the speeds I measured in the Moto-E.
Normal SD-MODE: Read 15MB/s, Write 11MB/s
Adopted Storage-MODE: Read 10MB/s, Write 6MB/s
Another test with that SDCARD on Windows gives similar results
Read 19MB/s, Write 11MB/s
The internal storage gives me the following results (when running in normal Mode)
Read 40MB/s, Write 10MB/s
So I got some questions:
I know, the card i use is not the fastest card available, but is it the Card or is it Moto-E that gives slow performance?
Where are the Limits of Moto-E SDCARD-Performce?
Do other people notice that downgrade in performance too, when using adoptable storage?
Kindest regards,
chrrh...
I'm playing Real Racing 3, Asphalt 8, Modern Combat 5, all on adopted storage, and it runs fine... i think
And any other apps too, like firefox, google photos, moon+ reader
Would you tell me how to test adopted storage speed? Which app to use?
I want to try it myself

I don't know why sdcard and internal memory has same size
It is because when you use adopted storage your SDCARD is used as internal storage.
I used the same APP to test speed as you.
I tried to open 'Dragons - Rise of Berk' and it did not run properly. The same for 'Hay Day'.
Once the game is loaded it should run fine, but for me the loading was so slowly that I got 'App is hanging, do you want to close it?' Messages.
Wich ROM do you use?
Does the ROM need to settle down before you are able to use it?
Just to give you an update, I solved my problems by using a faster SD-Card.
Now I get Read 30MB/s and Write 10MB/s (card is able to get 90MB/s read and 20MB/s write in Windows)
Since I use the new card, all applications are running like from the internal flash.
As a conclusion, you should always use a sdcard that is fast enough to give you a decent performance.

Internal Memory Partition solution for MOVIC W2?

I just want to be able to use the 4GB internal memory completely or at least exchange the 786 MB internal memory for my external sd card.
Hi, My phone was stolen and my brother gifted me a MOVIC W2. It's supposed to have a 4 GB Internal memory. And while it has that, It also comes with a 700 MB Internal Partition where the applications are forced to be installed and another partition for the phone data (like pics, videos, etc). This is what Link2Sd and SD Maid Show:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
In the first pic, the one that says "Interna 23% libre" (Internal 23% free) is the partition that I'm talking about. The other two "Tarjeta SD" (Sd Card) and "Externo SD" (External SD Card) are the total internal memory and the external sd card respectively.
The total Internal Memory was divided in three: "Interna" for apps (786 MB), "Sistema" (System) 787 MB and the remaining is the usable memory on the "Tarjeta SD" to save user data (1.78 GB).
In the second pic, from top to bottom, it shows:
1. External SD Card with 3.68 GB in total
2. Internal SD Card partition for data such as pics, videos, etc. (1.78 GB)
3. Internal SD Card partition for apps (786 MB)
So, I've tried to create another partition on my external SD to use as Internal, linking it with Link2SD and it recreates the links but doesn't work. I tried to change the Internal SD Path with WSM Tool app and XInternalSD app, doesn't work either, I also tried the Vold.fstab (but this version doesn't have that) and tried to change the storage directive in build.prop but it doesn't have that line for persist.vold...
The phone is rooted. I can't find another rom for W2 with Android 5 or 6, only roms for W1 and W5 (Don't know if I can use those)
I just want to be able to use the 4GB internal memory completely or at least exchange the 786 MB internal memory for my external sd card. I leave some pics below with additional phone info.
Please, Help me if you can.

Hello
On my panasonic eluga phone (32 gb internal storage), I have formatted sd card (32 gb) as internal.
It is expected that "total used of" should show something like 60 gb or so.
But it still shows 32 gb.
Please help.
PS: It works correctly i.e. shows 60gb on my motorola phone.

it's good

Is there a way to determine current zram?

Hi all,
Does anyone know of a way to view the current zram or compressed ram, or even check if it's turned on? I've got abd and shell access.
Non rooted.
It might not be possible I guess.
Cat /proc/meminfo and free commands haven't helped at all sadly.
Many thanks
use command free

see "Swap" line for zram info (please turn off memory-extension(内存扩展) in system settings for some xiaomi or other high-end devices)
On my N10+'s I use DevChek. Seems to show it.

Thanks guys, so yeah I did try the free command before, and that seems to output the same as that devinfo app. It says I have 2251MB despite having the "ram" boost option on or off... (I am rebooting between toggle).
It's strange, when it's off it doesn't show the "+2GB" in the app switch screen.
Performance wise there seems to be 0 difference so I'm going to guess there is either:
"Ram" boost is on all of the time at 2GB of swap?
There is 251MB of ZRAM?
There is 2251MB of ZRAM?
For info the phone has 4GB of physical RAM.
thanks
I think both zram and ramboost are in the swap

It could be, so that means the disk swap of 2gb is active all the time regardless of the ram boost option selected?
Only 251MB of zram in that case, no wonder it relaunches apps and webpages constantly.
I'm tempted to unlock bootloader, root and add a couple of GB of zram to see if it is a big difference or not.
