I'm looking for an AdBlocker for CM7, that blocks the Ads within APPs & Browser. Are there any?
Thanks in advance.
I'm using this one
Desire? Does it work for Wildfire too?

I couldn't be bothered to rename it that's why i just modified it
Sent from your nearest toilet.
is it the root only app.
how about adblocking on unrooted phones.
This patch edits the HOSTS file as in Windows OS, exactly the same. I don't think that kind of modification can be done to unrooted phones.
adfree works good got it on my desire hd and the mrs wildfire

As title says. It's back on wf marketplace and works without lockscreen trick. Still a tad laggy but I'm not running overclock and using safe 2.2.1 froyo rooted
Edit: version number 1.5.2

Yes better than before. At least no need for lock and unlock anymore. New version is smoother, can now enable backgrounds and get good performance.
Although I am overclocked but never found any improvements on games, more like better response in system process.

New android market apk. I'm currently using CM 7.1 RC1. I've downloaded it, and it is working like a charm! Enjoy
Ps- Google has stated publicly that if you rent a movie from Google movies it will not work on Rooted Devices. As far as I know there is no work around as of yet. Other then that, we in the rooted community should have no problems with the rest of the new market.

You can install over it with any file explorer.

Working on rcmix 3d v1.9
I downloaded it using maxthon browser (free in market) and once it completed downloading, I double tapped it while viewing the file in the browsers' download manager. It prompted me for permission to install, so I did, after I did a back up of course, and bam, my market shortcut on the desktop and in the app drawer both opened the new market with out a hitch. So long story short, do a back up, and install how you would any third party downloaded APK.

Where are these movies downloaded from in the market? And how long do we "rent" them for if anyone knows. O_O
I know there's a guide somewhere but I need to be able to see protected apps and also download apps that "aren't compatible" which most are....
Thanks in advance.

Aren't compatible is due to screen density.. revert to version 2 market will solve this problem or change your density to 240 which is for 480x800 devices.
Protected apps??
Accidentally sent from my Google Nexus S using XDA Premium
Yeah protected apps, meaning that your device has to be on a whitelist or you cant see it in market
Sent from my HTC Wildfire using xda premium
Will try market 2.3.4 or w/e ever in a bit, density at 240 made phone UI massive....

ES File Explorer or Root Explorer
Titanium Backup

Simple and useful apps. I use Titanium to get rid of useless system apps that many ROMs come with.

The best one I've found is Seesmic Pro. I too, like Friend caster, but its not as good with all of the newer Facebook changes. Seesmic is especially good if you use Twitter, it lets you view them both & post simultaneously

There are very good android applications, like Titanium Backup for restoring applications easily after flash, X-plore and Root Explorer and MIUI File Manager as the best file managers, Dolphin Browser , Paper Camera, Super Video as a floating video play, C4droid as the best application for C++ programmers, TTPOD for listening music with lyrics, but also tablet applications being adapted to android phone like Photoshop Touch.

I wish I had an answer for you, as my wife has been trying to do the same thing. Used Jorte for a while, but it's just more feature rich than what she needed, so it became a pain to input the small details she needed.
Could you tell me what solution you found?
I like Titanium Backup for restoring applications easily after flashing ROMs, X-plore and Root Explorer as the best file managers, Boat Browser Mini as a heck of a fast lightweight easy to use browser, Mobo Viewer as a floating video play, and TTPOD for music.
Camera zoomFx is a great camera app...improved shots for sure, especially with the stability feature
