Changing baseband without using the USB port(broken usb) - XPERIA X10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello guys, I have a very big problem with my x10.
The USB port is broken and the phone is no longer under warranty.
I would like to try the modified kernel, but unfortunately requires the baseband 52 and unfortunately I have a .54.
There is the possibility of changing baseband without using the USB port?
xrecovery or anything?
Many thanks.

if it is possible to Zip the BB files then you can flash via Xrec

Thank you so much response.
Could you give me the link to the file?
Thanks again

Change your build prop to an x10 that has over the air update with 52 baaeband... not sure wich model and company. Then do update frim settings

you could just attach the needed files to an email and send them to your gmail. Save the attachment and navigate to the 'download' folder on your sd card in xrec to install

You cannot change phine w/o usb.. the files are for roms, not for changing phones w xrecovery. So over air update ia all i can think of

i dont think OTA updates will work for updating baseband...

Meanwhile, thank you for fast answers.
I am an Italian user, and use a translator to read and write, and unfortunately I did not understand what to do.
Just to complete the situation tell you:
To charge the phone battery I bought an external charger, which charges the battery outside the phone.
And to write data on the microSD, use a memory card reader.

Check this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=865479
This thread should be closed.
Don't close it just yet! Okay well I actually read that a while back and don't really understand. Secondly, why can't I just use the updater? As in why is Update not detected?
Oh also on another note, how do I flash my kernel and are there risks involved? Well I want install mic's touch cpu fix. Thanks
Thanks
edit:
Tried the link, doesn't help.
Page not found when changing the 10a in URL to another letter so ya. And yes I changed both the letters in the URL

Upgrade stock rom with Broken usb?

Hi
My friends X10 usb port broke off.
Can't return to SE for repairs - Someone voided warranty
We got the USB port fixed (charging) But lost data over the USB port.
My question, could someone please help us get to 2.1 from 1.6. The phone already rooted.
ADB via Wifi flash?
PS. I did search. There is only threads about going to stock rom from 2.1 on broken usb port.
Thanks
firstly, wrong section...
secondly, no currently there is no way to do that... u should get it repaired, GB update is round the corner

do what Brian said, Delete the system folder, so they just reflash the latest firmware.
If you do this.. you will loose the root?.. but you should be able to root it again.
Thanks for the reply
1st. Sorry for wrong section.
2nd. Like I mentioned, the phone can't be returned due to warranty voided (long story)
so I can't delete my System folder to get it re-flashed.
DoomLord said something about GB update? not sure what that is ?
Isn't there a way to get a OTA update with WiFi? (maybe set a custom location or something.)
I'm desperate here. 1.6 is oooold
LOL, if you broke your USB port or any physical damage, then warranty is void.
Please post in the correct section next time, also other members have answered your question. On that note, thread closed.

[Q] How to downgrade mini pro from 2.1.1.c.0.0

Hey guys, im at work and i dont have the time to search as we are cut from the internet here if we spend to much time on websites that are not depicted by the company as work related. My problem is i want to flash ginger.dx but cwm doesnt work for build 2.1.1.c.0.0, so how do i downgrade to the last compatible build for cwm?
Cheers in advance
Evil.
It works with 2.1.1.C.0.0 .
But anyway, if you want to downgrade, we first have to know your phone. Mini (E20i) or mini pro (U20i)???
I have the only have 2.1.1.A.0.6 for mini PRO. You can find it by searching it with the xda's search this :
2.1.1.A.0.6 GREEK .ftf
But, there are many other for mini too. Just use always xda's search engine.

Well thats unusual because as i said in the title, i have the mini pro, and my build number is 2.1.1.c.0.0. As i also said i cant search while at work because it is a lil bit time consuming reading through all the post to find what im looking for, and if i spend more then two hours a week on what my company calls time wasting sites, then my net will be blocked for the rest of the week and my work requires access to the net. The reason im doing it at work is because i dont have internet at home as my flatemate just moved out and it was under his name. Anyway, ive downloaded the greek .ftf as you suggested of 2.1.1.A.0.6 and i will flash it to my phone and then try CWM. The reason i asked in the first place was because i read in the first post of the CWM thread that it only worked for the old build number not the new ones (e.g. 2.1.1.C.0.0) so yeah. I know what im doing, im not new here, and i know i should search but as i said cant waste time, now i know im ranting and sorry if i come across being rude, i dont mean to be.
Anyway cheers for your help.

Why do ? I dont.
Why dont i? Coz its blocked from accessing the net at my work. Cant find a connection.
Anyway, now my build number is 2.1.1.a.0.6. I reinstalled cwm last night using mini rom manager, it all works, then when i tried to flash ginger.dx v11, it got half way through coping system then stopped and said it was all completed. so i rebooted knowing that it didnt work properly, and lo-and-behold i got boot loop of thw white sony text, didnt even get passed that. What am i doing wrong?
Cheers,
Jeremy.

[Q]Where can i get

the stock rom 2.1(eclair)?
I want this rom without xrecovery, without root and, if possible, I want to flash this rom in CWM, because the miniusb connector is broken, so i can't connect the cellphone in SEUS...
Thanks everyone...
Post questions in q&a section and not in dev section.
Sorry mate, I was viewing the both sections(I was searching here) and I create the thread in the wrong section, someone move this thread please...

just pay 2 bucks and get new connector, that is impossible to get a ROM without xrecovery or root but install through CWM...
This thread totally is nonsense question.

Ok, but's not my cellphone, I can't do anything about the hardware, it's my girlfriend cellphone and she said that I don't can open her cellphone...
I know that seems a weird thing, but it's the olny way that i could think, if someone can send to me an backup in xrevocery with just root, i could replace the chargemon and the busybox, that will help a lot...
@static28
Done...
if its your girlfriends' phone, you can just return it to her after installing a stock ROM [with CWM].
No offence, but most girls, dont really get technology.
and yes, it is impossible to have any kind of recovery without root.

solution for your problem:
find 2.1 back at the forums and download it to any computer which has bluetooth.
transfer the back up from computer to x10 mini pro through bluetooth
run root explorer or file manager ( I guess you have that )
move the 2.1 back up from "bluetooth" folder the "CWM" folder
boot to CWM. restore back up.
DONE!

Better than nothing. You have some suggestions for our mate? eh?
anyway.
@carcass.br
you can just remove your sd card and find a card reader and transfer the back up directly.
