The cheapest place in Australia is this website and for any of these services, simply require your IMEI number which can be found, either by taking your battery out and underneath in the phone housing, or by pressing *#06#
In short there is no free unlock service as this uses a commercial piece of software to calculate the unlock code and is not a simple piece of arrhythmic.

My phone just came back today from S.e Repair Center, Only to find its SIm-Locked after me pruchasing an Unlock code on Ebay, for £20.
S.e wont help me, as they said they set the phone back to factory settings, This is a different phone so my Old Unlock code doesnt work,
Anybody know the cheapest way to unlock my phone because I really dont want to pay another £20 :/
Thanks
I m sorry if this info is available in some of the thread, anyone kind to show me the thread?
I got hold of a X10i Japan docomo(something like that) from a friend and is simlocked. I have an x10i myself so my friend gave his to me cos he cant use it with the local sim card.
I was thinking something like this, can i use flash tool to unlock the bootloader and flash a custom rom ( i was thinking of Cynogen CM7,something like that) and got rid of the sim lock ??
BTW i have no intention to pay for the sim unlock services cos its not economical due to the currency exchange for my country. I can get a 2nd hand X10i open sim if i top a bit on the sim unlock services charges in my country.
Thanks in advance for all your replys.
This X10i unit might just end up as a PSP unit for my 3 year old son if i cant sim unlock it ...
Hey guys (and girls),
I bought an X10 on ebay and unfortunately in the service menu it says:
Welcome
Service menu:
(x) Network 0
( ) Network subset 5
( ) Service provider 5
( ) Corporate 5
( ) SIM 0
So oviously there are no attempts left to insert an unlock code.
Is there any other way to unlock the phone? I read quite a lot today but could not yet find a solution
The thing is I don't even have a suitable simcard to get to the menu and stuff...
I'm glad for any kind of help, even if it would be to find out the phone is bricked and can't be unlocked (though I'd prefer other than that )
unlock phone
i had the exact same problem i racked my brain with this but in the end it was so simple all u do is get Sony Ericsson PC Companion 2.0 & go to support zone then click repair phone it will wipe out the the info on the phone like contacts & that lock that it is stuck on then once it's all done u now have a usable phone it will take around 20 to do all this make sure the battery is fully charged first if u have any questions please let me know

odds are the phone is not bricked they probably just had a pattern code on the phone & forgot it the phone locks up after a certain amount of attempts
Hey that sounds like good news
I will try when I come home! Thanks a lot so far
@evilseed99 you need to have the phone unlocked by setool2 or other software for doing a sim unlock as its had 5 wrong network provider code unlock attempts and the only way now is by unlocking software.

thanks i will try setool2 noe
I found out that for setool2 you need a box for the X10...
So is there no other way to get the simlock away?
Should I try to buy such an unlock code on a website?
The Service Menu says there are 0 attempts, though it still asks me to insert the unlock code when I boot the phone. Don't wanna waste the money for a code that won't work in the end...
@evilseed99 your best bet would be to take it to a phone shop that does unlocking just make sure they use the setool2 box to do it.

Hi, I've been researching and I found out that apparently you cannot sim unlock a desire 310 by installing a different rom.
People recommended using a sim unlock service (like you pay for a code to unlock it), and they said that some of these services are sketchy/dodgy..
Can anyone personally recommend a good website to get a code from?
Or even a better way to do this?
(It's locked to Vodafone if that makes a difference)
Thanks
You could try sim-unlock.net , i tried to get an unlock code for the same device but unfortunately they coulnd't find one as my phone hasn't been locked by htc but by orange romania. I got refunded though so i'd say it's pretty much a safe website. Give it a try, the price isn't high either!

hi there, I also have a vodafone locked 310 here and need to unlock it... did you ever sort yours? Also have you come across any good resources for custom roms/root/modding etc ? thanks
You have to know if the vodafone carrier of the country you bought your phone from locks the device with a different lock code other than the one provided by htc. For example i bought the desire 310 from Orange Romania, and only after i bought it i found out that both orange and vodafone romania change the factory lock code with a code of their own. In this particular case, i haven't had any luck unlocking the phone with any site that provides codes for a small fee. I also contacted htc and they said my device (according to the imei) does not appear to be branded nor locked by any carrier. I had to send the phone back to romania and have it serviced with special tools and apps to get it lock-free. You could still try some online service. If it's a pro website, they will refund your money if no code is found or the code they provide doesn't work. If that doesn't work, then you'll have to unlock it in a service center.
Hi all,
I bought LG G5 in Bosnia and Herzegovina and it worked with BH Mobile SIM card. Now I have gone out of the country and put in different SIM card, and it asks me to enter network sim unlock pin. I bought phone in a store, not from the operator directly so I expected it to be unlocked.
While I'm trying to get them send me unlock code, I am also looking online for a solution, but so far I see the only possibility is to use online unlocking services. However, I see there are a lot of fake ones, so I'd like to ask if there is any reputable source for unlocking the SIM or it's best to take the phone to some of the phone service stores and ask them to unlock it for a fee?
Thank you for your help.
Regards,
