Search results and apps set to uk? - Streak 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm using dj steve's latest build, and I'm here in the us. When I use google search or yelp, I get results as if I'm in the UK. (search results all .co.uk, yelp in pounds). Kyb is set to english-us. What else should I check?

Google goggles and latitude cannot sign in

Just wondering if any of you experiencing this problem. I am on KE7 and am rooted. No other problems with sign in and checking of my google mail. However when trying to turn on search history in google goggles or signing on with latitude, the device never signs in and just shows that it is still trying. I tried both with wifi and data connection but still can't enable this.
I tried this on my atrix and also htc desire but it didn't exhibit this problem.

Google default.

Google search results automatically bring up UK rather than USA. I guess I have a UK streak? Is there a setting to fix this?

Have you tried Settings/Language & keyboard settings/Locale (the top menu item)? Mine's set to English (UK) but I still get Google in Danish (I'm in Denmark). I set the homepage to http://www.google.com/m?source=android-home&client=ms-android-dell&hl=en to get the mobile version of google.com in English when I start the stock browser.

New Google now commands

Had an update to Google search this morning. Supposedly it now allows apps to be launched.
So far I can only get Gmail to open. Tried searching for more info but no luck.
Anyone else discovered what else opens? Is it just a few Google apps that work or is it up to the devs to allow their stuff to launch.
Edit: clock and calculator works, settings & browser doesn't

The new ones only became available today after doing the update, cant find these ones listed anywhere. There is an actual link in Google now but it just opens the default help section.

Can't purchase any apps in Google Play

Hey guys,
For about 5 months now, I've been unable to purchase any apps in Google Play. In fact, I can't even see paid apps, only free ones.
I've tried clearing the data and cache for Google Play. I've restored the device to factory settings using the volume down and power button several times. None of that has worked.
I've emailed Google about it, but they have been useless. The only way for me to get paid apps on my tablet is to purchase them on my phone and then download them on my tablet. Which isn't ideal as some apps are incompatible on my phone. And I've noticed there are a lot of apps incompatible with the Transformer Prime.
I live in the UK and the device is set to UK. Please can someone help, it's driving me mad!

Not a solution but you can also purchase apps on the google play web and push them to your tab.
I can't, when I go through the website, my tablet is greyed out and won't let me purchase apps on to it.
I can't even see paid apps on the website! What the hell is going on??

Create another google play account to purchase apps for your prime with?!
What about the apps I've purchased with my current Google account, can I still use them?

Things currently installed shouldnt stop working I would think.
At any rate, it was really a suggestion to narrow the problem down to the account, not your device. Then take that info to google and tell them to freaking fix it.
I'm sure you want to get your gmail etc... so you would have to switch accounts everytime you bought something. Not practical.
You could though say "Hey google, I made this new account named X, logged in with my prime and was able to add apps.
Ah, yes, that's a good idea. I will try that over the weekend. Thanks for the suggestion.

Well, I tried making another account but it's still not showing any paid apps. I'll send an email to Google, see if they can come up with a solution.
If anyone can think of anything else, please let me know.
