[Q] Best Rom for battery life and performance? - XPERIA X10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Ok so Now I have CM 6.1.3 by Wolfbreak I love this ROM but problem is that the battery sometimes drains so quick it is unbelievable,
What are ROMS that give good performance like this one but has a good battery life

Hey give the ROM in my signature a look. Battery is awesome amd speed is great too. If i recall, wolfbreaks ROM shouldnt do that.

Battery draining problem

Hi. I installed the cyanogenmod 7 on my LG p500.I love it verymuch.but my battery is draining so heavily.is there any way to fix it,?

I used Juice Defender and it helps.

undoubtedly either android 2.3.3 or cyanogen mod eats battery more than usual, in their official builds (nexus one for 2.3.3 / htc desire for cyanogen mod 7)
and you're prolly using unofficial builds and there might be more battery drain than usual.
you should have considered this and i dont think any of the developers didnt told you on their posts.
of course apps like juice defender or battery doctor etc. are good
but if you hate ur liberty being controlled by those dumb apps (i do), just control your data/wifi usage well, make suitable overclock profiles, or buy an extended battery physically.

for what it's worth, void #echo or devoid.franco + franco.Kernel proves quite good as far as battery life is concerned.

yep, i had been reading that kind of comments about franco's rom.. i think i have to try it, all the ppl always say wonderful things about this rom and im really tempted to use =D
So here goes...
Well i realise this with every rom I use. Standby gives 1% per hour. I know not as good as most, but yea. However, with wifi on and browsing for 40 minutes, its already 8%. It aint really enough for me since I spend so much time here.

So far I used
- stock ROM: bad performance, batt - dont remember
- megatron with its kernel (2.2): absolutely best batt, 0-1% of battery drain per overnight (wifi off, data off, gps off); good performance; might be unstable
- LOL 1.4.2 with its own kernel mix (2.2.2): fair battery life and performance
-devoid and void with franco kernel (#14 it was then): not so much satisfied with batt. or performance in live or in quadrant test (sorry franco, i could not understand why it is so...)
- jince : very smooth ROM for everyday use; batt is little bit worsethat Megatron or LOL (5-9% overnight, all off; however ither reported better batt. life).
My choise for battery - Megatron v1 (with it's kernel)
PS. currently testing megatron ROM with Franco 18.1 kernel. Will post results.
Megatron rocks but its not as visually appealing.

[Q] Battery Life on J's rom

I have been flashing roms for a while but I have stuck to Wolf's rom for the past month or so and I'm thinking about going back to J's Cyanogen but I was wondering what is the battery life like now on this rom as it was pretty poor the last time I tried it.
You probably had the deep sleep issue on your phone. which there is a thread on it if you give it a search.
I have great battery life when I use it.

[Q] Battery Life 2.2 vs 2.3

Any comparison?
I seem to be getting at least a day and a half on 2.2 and cant even make the day on 2.3
Is there a rom based on 2.3 with decent battery life?
I dont mind 2.2 but I would like the app2sd functionality of 2.3
Thanks
Really? I'm running 2.3 cm mod and I can easily get past a day (without hardcore gaming). I have even managed to get it to 3 days by underclocking it with setcpu. Maybe you should have a look at what's using up alot of your battery and make adjustments to it.

When I was running stock 2.2 froyo, I rarely got to more than 2 days (mainly because I didn't use setcpu).

Oxygen rom of course! IMO, it's the most stable rom and the battery life is amazing. Performance wise it's super fast and I love it. Best rom I ever used I must admit

every latest ROM will give you almost the same battery backup, the difference could only be upto 3-5% so, in my opinion, you can use any ROM but you should be smart enough to use your phone properly, If you are gaming all the time, then your battery won't last more than a few hrs..
I would recommend hephappy's prereleases, with data and sync only through 2G and light use - reduced backlight, couple of SMS, few calls, short web browsing (check twitter, find some public transport connection,...) - i got nearly three days of battery life.
But when you are on 3G, heavily browsing or playing games all the time you can't expect any rom to last more than day (to be more specific from morning to evening).

All ROM have good battery backup... but you feel they don't like that because of your usage....
So do not post the question like this!
IMO stock based ROMs such as Oxygen etc... does have better battery backup than CM7 ROMs

True I have same battery drain (~2% per night) on all ROMs... people with lots of apps or data on at all times should NEVER give an opinion on battery life... you may get a signal from an app, randomly, and cause system to be totally random on battery...
