verizon plan prices ? - Thunderbolt Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm planning on jumping ship from Tmo. The iphone is everywhere, but I'm an android fan. Currently, we have -very- speedy data in our city, and so-so service directly outside it.
My question is this:
How much do folks on Verizon pay for TWO LINES OF UNLIMITED DATA AND TEXTING ?
please, I do not want to know about getting a phone for a penny, or "free", or any other insurance deals. I just want the straight scoop on what it will cost to have unlimited data and text, for two lines.
The best I've found is $99 + 29*2lines= $160/month. This is about $50 more per month than I'm paying now.
Thank you for a very simple, and precise response.

honestly most people do not need unlimited calling
most people with 2 lines especially, can sit happily at 700 minutes assuming you have a lot of friends/family already as verizon wireless customers.
the 1400 plan would give you 10 friends/family numbers you could set up as unlimited (land lines or other mobile carriers customers)
also keep in mind your first bill will possibly be double due to prorating and activation fees
again another reason unlimited isnt necessarily the best way to start out.
i would say start at 1400 and monitor your useage for the first month, checking daily/weekly and if you do near the 1400, go on verizonwireless.com/myverizon or dial *611 and talk with someone in customer svc about your plan
i deal with customers daily saying they need unlimited, again, it usually results in people over paying when they dont need to (ie: 200 minutes used on unlimited plan; happens a lot)

He said unlimited data and texting, not minutes.

yeah I'm also interested in this as well

5000 texts = 20.00
Unlimited data = 30.00
With a voice plan.
Seriously using your internet go to verizon.com and check out plan pricing.
Very comparable to t-mobile. I jumped from TMO and had 1400mins and unlimited data. I dont text much so I paid per use which was 1.25 per text. VZW charges .25 per text.
And watch your data speeds drop dramatically on TMO once you hit your 2gb mark, they throttle the hell out of you.

160 is about right if you want unlimited data, text and 700 mins.
Have you checked if you can qualify for employee discount? most of the time that takes of between 15 to 25 percent of your bill. You can check with verizon on that.

Getting my XV6800 on Revol Wireless

So, I'm sick and tired of Verizon bending me over each month. I don't need my phone for work anymore, so it's just personal use. $180 a month is WAY too much. So I'm thinking about switching to Revol Wireless. I currently have Ryan Mogul's 1.1 (Winmo 6.1 lite) on my phone. I'm planning on porting my current number to Revol, so what's involved in getting my phone to work on Revol's network? Verizon and Revol are both CDMA, right?
Thanks in advance!

absolutely not! i'm on the Nationwide Select Unlimited Plan plus my Unlimited Data plan and Tec Insurance. My bill comes out to be roughly $187 each and every month. I'm sorry, but the network reliability is NOT worth that kind of money when so many other carriers are offering just as much, if not more, for less money.
Do you talk that much. Why do you need a unlimited plan? May I suggest the lowest minute plan and email. Then just get a google voice number and do that for all calls and save yourself some money. You can get a unlimited texting with 450 minutes for 100 inclusing data. You pay way to much money my friend.
you can get unlimited data, text and like 3000 talk minutes for $110 now, heck I think with unlimited talk your only at 125-130 now.
that unlimited data is dumb phone data not smartphone. The only compatible data is the $30 or $50 data plans for smartphones
No that was for smartphone, specifically the Droid Eris from what I saw on billshrink.com

Want to get an SG2 but...

Ok, so I want the SG2, but keeping my current contract with AT&T proves to be difficult. If I upgrade with AT&T the SG2 is $199. If I upgrade through walmart letstalk.com $159, amazon wireless $149, deals2buy.com the SG2 is$99.
Talk about some great deal right? Only problem I have is that my contract would change. As many of you may or may not know, AT&T in their infinite wisdom removed their text tiering plan. It used to be something like $5 for 200 text a month, $15 for 1000 and $20 for unlimited. Because I don't text much, I went with the $5 for 200 text. I also opted into the $30 for unlimited data. I have been grandfathered into these options, but if I get the phone from an outside agency I would have to switch to AT&T's "awesome" $25 for 2gb data plan and be left almost without a text option unless I pay $20 for unlimited which is the only plan they have now. When I say I don't text much, I mean I'm barely breaking 80 a month and that's me really trying.
Now I don't use that much data mostly because of my current location. According to my data usage chart, I'm only using about 500mb a month. While the $25 for 2gb might seem like a good idea, I'd like to know that when I relocate within the next 6 months, that I won't have to worry about going over in data usage. When I'm in an area that has a good 3G connection, I watch a lot of videos when I have downtime and you can shoot past 2gb in no time.
I'm sure a lot of you are saying drop AT&T and what not, but the truth be told, I've never had any problems with them over the last 4 years. I think their rates are reasonable and I love the roll over option. So me leaving them is not an option anytime soon at least not until they royale screw me.
Are you 100% sure reseller's require you to change you data plan if you upgrade through them? If its true, then I would spend the extra money and go to an official AT&T store and buy one. I wouldn't sacrifice my unlimited data for anything.
I agree, do anything you can to keep that Unlimited Data plan.
Man the money you save up front would probably be negated over the course of the contract. If you dont have the money now just wait a spell, the price will come down of course after a while.
You should really look into your calling habits though. If you not using over 2gigs ever then you could save money there. Also with unlimited texts comes the free cell to cell deal. Thats any carriers cell not just att, which makes a huge difference. Everyone's situation is a bit different. att is actually pretty good about working with you on stuff like this. I have had them eat HUGE bills. I hate att for my own reasons, but this is one area where I have to concede their worth. Good luck to you. The phone really is bad ass, best phone I have had to date and I have had my fair share.
You are not forced to change data plan I upgraded to infuse 4g and kept data. I probably gnna get gs2 in a week or so. I do have the unlimited data btw.

Yes they do. Once you add the phone to your cart, you have to pick a calling and data plan. While AT&Ts calling plans haven't changed, their data and texting plans have and the resellers websites options have changed to reflect that.

I don't talk on my cell that often that why I like the rollover minutes thing. As for going over 2gb, it can happen because I travel a lot and when I'm not at my remote location, I go over 2gb easily. I don't think saving $5 is feasible just because I'm not consistently going over 2gb every month. Right now I pay $30 for unlimited. If I do go with the 2gb plan, I'll be charged $10 for each gig I go over. With unlimited, I'm covered no matter what the hell happens.

This is true if you do the upgrade through AT&T and not a reseller. AT&T isn't willing to cut me a deal on the phone simply because they don't have to. While I do understand this and I have the money to get the new phone at the price they are offering, it's always good to save a few bucks everynow and again.

While that might be true, I'm not willing to take that chance. Like I said earlier, you are forced to make a choice for a data plan. If making that choice prevents me from switching back to having unlimited, that would be bad. Saving the money on the phone wont' be worth it in the end.
I just did this on Monday. I was on the old $30 unlimited data and the $5 for 200 text plan.
I got mine at Walmart. The rep had to call AT&T to get it activated. They are able to keep the $30 unlimited data but will require you to upgrade your text plan to get it activated.
However, if you immediately call AT&T (611) and talk to a rep, you CAN get your old $5 for 200 text plan back. It will require the rep to ask their supervisor, but they will do it for you.
Went from old AT&T plan from my iPhone 3GS and still have the unlimited and 200 text messages.
Well it sounds like you've got it all figured out then.with all due respect, I don't understand why you even created this thread when you just countered helpful comments and seemed to have answered your own questions.

I just did if you read my post above...
I went to AT&T store and and them if they can give me $50 credit for getting the phone and i must keep my current features unchanged. The sales rep agreed and i walked out the store within 20 min with a phone. i paid $200 plus tax but he credited my account $50 right there.
When I bought my Infuse and kept my $5/200 texting plan and unlimited data - the GSII was bought outright off-contractr so didn't affect my account at all.
AT&T corporate stores are the way to go! They might not have the extreme hardware deals, but their representatives are FAR more competent and honest in my opinion.
I just did ths last night
I just upgraded to the S2 last night at an Att corporate store. The person who was ringinh me up told me the THE SAME THING. I need to change my data plan $30 unlimited and my $5 text plan. I have the same exact services as you do. She kept trying to put it through the system and it kept giving her errors saying that she could give me the data plan but not the text plan. In the end she was able to get it done and I kept everything that i had.
All i can tell you is to tell the rep to try every configuration to see if it goes through. If i remember right she ended up finding the text plan that would work but it was near to the bottom of her list.
It is 100% possible to keep because I was in the same exact situation.
I as well. : /

Complete bull****.
I upgraded @ Best Buy, unlimited data remains.
I don't really text at all so I have no texting plan. I refuse to pay extra for something that costs the network infinitely less the a phone call would have.
You will find that many, if not all representatives will feed you that "Need to Upgrade your plan" line of bull.
It is their JOB! The more people they can trick and fool OFF of their unlimited plans, the more money they can make.
DO NOT EVER BELIEVE THEM!!!
My Best Buy store had some cash register issues when I picked up my SGSII. We had to complete the upgrade over the phone, in store. Can't count the number of times the AT&T guys said I had NO existing Data-Plan. I called Foul, as I've been on the Corporate data plan (for office email) from the beginning.
Now if you try to go the order online / nonhuman route, all bets are off.
I upgraded at Walmart IN STORE and had NO ISSUES keeping my unlimited grandfathered in everything plan. I too have the $30 data and $5 unlimited text plan. I did the SAME THING last year with my captivate but I HAD TO do it in store. Walmarts online LETSTALK would not allow me to keep my current grandfathered in plan and they cancelled my order. So I walked into the Walmart store and got it and kept my grandfathered plan. Just before upgrading to the att SGS2 I called and CONFIRMED that I can and will keep my unlimited plan a.d was assured by the retention department that I would. I called after I left the store with SGS2 in hand and again called att to CONFIRM that my plan is still listed as the Personal unlimited plan (grandfathered plan). The att retention department told me that IF the store gave me ANY ISSUES to just get the phone and call them once it was mine. So stick to your guns in it and don't just give it away.

I see my best bet would be to walk into Walmart and get that deal on the phone since I can't be sure things will work out with the other online resellers. It seems that buy making your voices heard it was possible to keep your plans. I think what I'm going to do first is call AT&T up and ask the question "If I upgrade my phone through a reseller, will you allow me to keep my current plan" and see what there response is. After that I'll argue with them about how I've been a customer for some years and because I'm renewing my contract, that's the least they could do for me. I'll be sure to get the sales reps name and ID number if they have one. Hell, I might even use my phone and let them know that I'm recording this call for quality assurance. That way I'll have some hard evidence that I was promised that I could keep my plan by the sales rep. I haven't had a reason to use my in call voice recorder but this seems like the perfect time.
Thanks for your input all, I'll let you know how things go and what deal I ended up getting.

[Q] Any downsides to Share Everything vs tiered data plans?

I was in the middle of an AT&T contract when VZW did away with their unlimited data plans. I was holding off, then when they announced the Share Everything plans were starting I decided to finally jump ship. Unfortunately, the "Double your data" promo had come and gone twice before I signed up, otherwise I wouldn't be considering this current change.
I'm currently on a 2GB, 450min, with $10/1000txts plan. With my corporate discount, that's $72/mo. I also have 3 tablets active on a share data-only plan; those total $60, and share 4GB. Total pre-tax/fee bill is $132.
Phone - $32
2GB Data - $30
Txts - $10
4GB Data - $30
Tablet 1 - $10
Tablet 2 - $10
Tablet 3 - $10
Total $132
If I go with an complete Share Everything plan, my bill would be as follows, for the same amount of data:
Phone - $40
Tablet 1 - $10
Tablet 2 - $10
Tablet 3 - $10
6GB Data - $74 (after discount)
Total $134
So, $2 more, I can tether with VZW's blessing, (plus w/o needing to deal with FoxFi, rooting/hacking my phone, etc), and unlimited talk and text. Those last two mean nothing to me, as I'm used 103/450 minutes, and 483/1000 texts last month. The blessed tethering is nice though. Plus, if I go over my allocation (like this month..both data buckets went over), I can go up in 2GB/$10 increments for everything, instead of 1GB/$10 for my phone AND 2GB/$10 on the tablets.
It seems worth it now...but I was against it when I just had the phone and 1 tablet. Then my bill was $102 (same phone cost, plus $30 tablet). Going to shared data would have been $106, and I didn't see any benefit to paying the $4 more per month.
But before I switch, I want to know if there's any downsides to worry about. Anyone already switched to Share Everything, and regret it?
I have the share everything with 12 gig, 4 phones. Haven't found any downsides in the time I've had it

Seems sort of pointless to me to have a share everything plan w/ tablets on there when you can tether.
I would do the share everything in your case, but not add extra tablets and use that money for extra data.

I thought they stopped doing that?
The savings aren't as good as with the phones. Saving $200 bucks on a tablet, but having to pay extra a month when you can freely tether with your phone still makes no sense. I'd rather pay full price and then not have to deal with the contract. To each his own though.

Ah, maybe they did.
I'm not current with Verizon stuff, apparently.
So I work at a Best Buy Mobile and from my experience with these new plans, you're one of the few people who, from a cost perspective, it actually isn't detrimental to switch to the new ShareEverything Plans. Way too often do I see people who's bills would go up at least $30 just to get less data but unlimited talk/text (whoop dee doo...)
The way I look at it is if you're one of the people who would employ the add a line to a family plan for an upgrade tactic, then the share plans aren't worth it since you'd have to pay an extra $30 a month for 2 years just for an extra upgrade to use vs the old $9.99 a month method.
But seeing as you're on a individual 450 talk, the add a line trick for family plans doesn't work for you. But since you go over on data plans occasionally, the switch to shareeverything is easier on the wallets when it comes to data overages (so long as you call Verizon BEFORE you go over on data). It's $10 for 2 more gigs since you're just moving up a plan tier, but its $15/gb when you go over your data plan.
The new share everything plans are really just bad for individual accounts, people with mostly basic phones on their family plans, or families who only need minimum minutes per month and only have a smart phone or two. For example on people without any discounts, on the old setups, Nationwide Talk 450 + 1000 txt + 2gig data = $80 before tax; the closest plan like that is now the ShareEverything 2GB which is $60 + smartphone access for $100 together...$20 more just unlimited talk and text? Not worth it. Same concept usually applies to people on lower family plans like the Nationwide Talk 700 or even the Nationwide Talk 1400, not always cost effective.
Do keep this in mind, since you do get a hotspot feature included in the new plans, you don't need to buy cellular tablets as much anymore, thereby saving $130 or more when you buy the tablet. So that could be $10 less a month for each tablet you don't need to hook onto your verizon plan.
As a side note, why is your discount only $6? Most corporate discounts with Verizon are at least 15% Most of the ones I see are 20-22% ...Just saying

As said above, 3 tablets. One person's is an iPad, which wouldn't have been subsidized anyway, and was purchased off Craigslist, furthering the argument. The other 2 are Xooms, and in fact did get a subsidized price on them. Both were refurbished, on sale, and ended up at $200 and 250 with 2 year contract.

You obviously haven't had a 3G/4G tablet for the last year. It's spoiled me, and I can't go back. I have done that previously, tethering WiFi devices to my phone. Also, only one of them is mine, the other two are carried by 2 other folks. At best I'd be saving $10, and it's worth it to me to have it connected. Plus, as mentioned above, 2 of 3 are under contract.

Multiple points/questions to respond to. You're correct, originally, it made no sense. That's why I signed up when I did, so I wouldn't get forced into the new plans when I finally got around to dropping AT&T, as it would cost me more for no benefit to me. I did the add-a-line to upgrade on AT&T, but won't be doing it again even if I could.
You don't have to call before you go over your allowance. You just need to call before the next cycle starts; I did this for last month's overages. Cycle end 2/6, called 2/5.
I'd still probably buy cellular tablets, especially if (like iPads) that's the only way to get a real GPS chip. The Nexus 7 seems to be the exception, with the WiFi model having GPS. I've unlocked hotspot on every phone and been using it for years, and having it included will certainly be nice.
The discount on VZW is for certain aspects only, plus, one of us mis-calculated . Yes, mine is 20%. With a basic plan, it applies to the minutes portion ($40*20%=$8, so $32)...possibly the data too, if you have the 5GB/$50 plan. With the Share Everything, it instead applies to the shared Data/Voice/Text chunk, and not the device cost. So, 6GB is $80*20%=$16, or $64 (not $74). Add device costs (40+10+10+10) is $134, which is the number I noted. Surprised no one called me out on that basic arithmetic fail instead.

Best family prepaid plan for this phone?

Currently using AT&T, 700 minutes, 2GB for me, 300MB for wife, dumb phone for mother, 3 lines total is about $135 after corporate discount and surcharges. When contract is up I will seriously consider prepaid if there is a good plan.
Problem is prepaid is basically all you can eat for every single plan. I have no use for anything beyond what we are already getting, and even Straight Talk is more expensive than what I am using now once you factor in the $350 device upgrade credit from AT&T every 18-24 months for each line. It is basically $45 a month credit you are getting and at this price point.
Is it me or prepaid can't compete unless:
1) You must have unlimited for some reason
2) You don't have a family plan

Thanks for this!
1000 minutes, 100 text message, 1GB data is $63, wow! With fees this is probably $80 a month. This is $600 a year in savings.
But it looks like I have to buy new phones for everyone since this is Sprint. Will definitely consider this when our contract ends!

Sprint Framily: Q&A + Codes

Has anyone switched to the new Framily plans? It seems like a decent value, but I'd like to hear from someone that has seen the expected bill.
The wife and I have a plan a few years old - 1500 min + unlimited mobile calling + unlimited text and data. We do have a discount on the account (for several years now), but the discount is only applied to the primary line ($110 * 20% = 22 credit) and not the Add-a-line. After taxes, fees and insurance our bill is about $170 a month.
The Framily plans information indicates $70 per line (for two phones + unlimited data). I am wondering if their accounting scheme would remain the same, so that they only apply the discount to the primary line (thus a $10 credit) rather than to both.
I rather expect that those who switch to the new plan scheme will not be able to view the new accounting changes until after Feb 10th, but I thought I would float this thread until someone with info pops up.
Or if there is a secret Sprint insider that could fill us in, that would be good too.
Also, I'm curious about the new annual upgrade scheme, but I don't think that enough information is out there.
Thanks for the feedback peeps.
Update: I saw that some are posting their Framily codes on other threads. This seems like it can only help you, especially if you are a two-person bill, like myself. There is a place on Sprint's Framily website to check the discount rate of the Framily ID.
If you are willing to share your Framily ID, I encourage you to post it below, along with the number of people currently in your group.
Update 2: I got responses from @sprintCare regarding NVP discounts and the Framily plans, confirming what AFSOC_Commando said: NVP discounts only apply to the data plan on a Framily account.
I also confirmed that only 1 NVP discount per account, and they are treating the Framily ID as the account. Therefore if my wife and I are on one bill, I get the discount, she does not. Take this into consideration when it comes to upgrade time.
So You're at $140.00 before taxes and fees? Aren't you paying 129.00 before taxes and fees now?

I neglected to specify the things that would not change if I altered my plan [TEP+Repair] nor did I include the $10 per line premium data fee. I don't think it can hurt to post this image, but maybe it will help someone else to choose an optimum plan. By treating secondary [tertiary] lines as add-ons Sprint justifies not applying the corporate discount.
Before taxes I'd say I'm about $150 including insurance.
On the Framily plans I estimate that I would end up paying maybe $2 more a month
Personally, based on what I see, I don't see an advantage changing your plan unless you're forced to. I have a very similar plan except I don't opt-in for the TEP/repair cost. And not to hijack your thread, but when was the last time you actually used the TEP/repair service? You'll save about $260+ ever year, that's like a new phone in savings. And if your phone happens to break (not obvious abuse e.g. cracked screen) Sprint would replace it for $50 without insurance. (I did this with my wife's phone when her S3 was acting up). Anywho, I think it's great that you bring this up as I'm in the same situation and my upgrade is coming up next month so I might want to change plans if their is an advantage (which I can't readily see). I'll keep an eye on this thread

Oh, hijack all you want. I've replaced my EVO LTE twice, the EVO 4G once, the Touch Pro was replaced with the TouchPro2 - which was cool at the time - and that was shortly after I enrolled in TEP. My wife has replaced her EVO LTE once, and maybe her EVO before that. So we've gotten a value out of it, but I know that they are soaking us, it's really ridiculous.
I don't think that there is much chance of us Framily saving us much money, but I think I would like to be locked in to the annual upgrade perk before they do away with it again.
I called today about the Framily plan as I'm out of contract right now. I was under the impression that the framily plan acted just like the web-site seems to lay it out...55 for me, 50 for the next person, 45 for third....so on and so on. It sounded pretty good since, once you're enrolled, you get a group id that you can give to people and when they sign up, they join your group.
So, here's what I actually found out when I called *2 and talked to a rep...
First off, there's no contracts, so you can have people join and leave at any time. However, when someone joins, it can take up to 2 months for the billing to be adjusted to show your "multiple people group savings". So basically, if two people join in January (they should be at $50/mth) but you might not see the savings until March. When person 3 joins in March, you might not see the additional savings until May/June. If one person drops, everyone's bill will increase to account for that loss of a person on the plan.
It's an additional $20/line for unlimited data.
Only people NOT currently in Sprint can join. When I brought up that the website says there's options to allow others in Sprint to join, the rep said that there have to be certain circumstances, which after going round and round, basically mean that whoever joins your group needs to be out of contract. If they're not, they'll have to pay an additional fee (a pro-rated fee??) based on the cost of their device.
There's no phones or upgrades or discounts or anything else when you go to the framily plans. If you want a new phone, you have to pay full retail price for it or you can do a 24 monthly payment for said new phone. Also, when you want to purchase a new phone, there's a deposit that must be paid in addition to the 24 monthly payments, which include monthly tax on the full cost of the device. I asked for an example, supposing I wanted the new S5 when/if it ever comes out at a price of $500. So my monthly bill would be 55/mth service (1 person) + 20/unlim data + 25 (500 phone charge + 45 in taxes divided by 24 months) plus an UndeterminedDeposit for switching to a new phone and a 15 upgrade fee. If you leave the framily plan, you owe a fully payment for rest of retail cost of phone.
Personally, it's not worth it for me. I want a new phone, and I have the two year discount to use. If I were to switch to the framily plan, I'd lose that discount, and most of the people I know that would join are in areas where sprint is piss-poor, or they're jumping ship for Tmobile. The rep I was talking to said that I could probably use my two year discount for a new phone THEN switch over to the framily plan. Trouble with that is that if after two years I'm still on it, and want to change phones, it'll be a heavy cost.
BTW - I was on the 450min+unlimited everything else plan which doesn't exist any more. So the rep moved me to the Unlimited minutes + Unlimited4LifeData for $80/mth (change to my bill was .01¢ increase). Didn't extend, didn't change contract, etc...just gave me unlimited minutes for a penny more per month.

Careful with this part. If I read it right, if you do that (get a new phone using your upgrade, which would put you into a 2yr contract), and THEN switch, I think they will charge you an additional 15/mo since you are on contract, for a max of 12 months, additional 180$ (15$ *12mo)

Based on what you describe it seems like I'd better stay in the boat that I'm comfortable in. I didn't realize that they would no longer subsidize the cost of the phone. If the new HTC One 2014 is $650, and my wife and I both got one, then we would end up paying an additional $27/month each on top of the Framily plan. That sounds an awful lot like a $225/month arrangement, and that sucks.
Yeah so I'll keep my existing plan probably.
Thanks for the input.
I actually just went through this yesterday I upgraded to the note 3 through easy pay and was switched to the framily plan the advantage of the framily plan is dependent on how many people you have on a line it goes down 5 dollar increments every person you add starting at 55 dollars plus 10 for 3 gig of data or 20 for unlimited the lowest you can pay is 20 dollars per line plus data if you have 5 people which is a GREAT deal BUT if your like me with only 1-2 people then there is not point in changing and if you have a discount it's is now applied to the data plan rather than the whole plan so you get less taken off HOWEVER this is such a new plan there is MASS confusion among sprint everyone will tell you something different I actually upgraded with easy pay switched to framily in the store and then called customer service and switched back to my everything data 450 that I was grandfathered into since 2009 some will say you can switch it and some will say you can't depends who you talk to*

Yeah. I agree that there's a lot of confusion about it. It does seem like it is only really worth it if you either don't want to upgrade phones with a discount OR you have a lot of ppl to join right off.

I converted my current contract to a FRAMILY and went from $151 a month after taxes to $130 since I have 2 lines and only kept mine on unlimited data. Wife uses under 500MB a month.
I then posted my Framily code and last 4 of my number on Fatwallet, Slickdeals and Framilycodes.com and had 10 people under my account within 12 hours and now have a bill of $70 per month plus taxes.
You can locate Framily codes on Ebay and craigslist as well for free.
I am expecting most people to stay for at least 2 years due to the fact that most people will finance their new equipment for 2 years and must pay it off immediately if they cancel service. Sort of an ETF if you will. I expect more service to go this route. All your MNVO's and T-Mobile use this model of paying for your own equipment non subsidized like the rest of the globe.
If you must swap phones regularly then you could swap every 6 months if you desire and recover some of your phone value on Swappa and buy your next device. The math does come out cheaper for many people.
I got this response from @sprintCare on twitter:
If you currently receive an NVP discount of any kind, if you convert to Framily that discount only applies to data.
Previously, on one NVP discount could be applied to a shared account. Since they are now discounting only the data of the user that gets the discount I have asked if each Framily user could apply an NVP discount. When they respond I will update this thread.
