In queens new york and as of 9 22 am I cannot connect to the internet and my phone is showing 3G. Try to connect to 4G and the phone will not. Anybody having the same problem?

Just had a similar issue way upstate, too. (Near Watertown, NY). 3G was showing connected, constantly trying to upload. I turned off mobile data for about 15 minutes and then when I turned it back on it connected correctly.
Could be a rolling update to the VZW system. Give it 15-30 minutes and it should be back up.

I can't connect in Springfield, MA right now...but my co-workers can. They are both running Droid X's, but I have a Tbolt with BAMF 1.5. Rebooted, cycled airplane mode a few times and I still cannot connect...

I rebooted several times as well. Just turn off mobile data (can still get voice calls/texts) and wait like half an hour, then try turning mobile data back on.
If you still can't get data, turn it back off and wait another half hour.
Anybody having problems...are you guys on the new radio? What's your config (Rom, Kernel, Radio...)

NYC, down all day. Called cs they were useless but data popped back up a couple of hours ago. I don't know about you guys but my data is so sporadic I hop on WiFi out of necessity whenever available.
This worked like a charm for my problem! Wasn't getting 3g and I wasn't in a 4g area. Should fix it for anyone.

I get no internet on cdma auto either. Even after a reboot. Ping says network unreachable.

Dallas/Richardson area here, having the same problem. Data only working on 4G, nothing on evdo/1x.
Same here on two Thunderbolts in Los Angeles. I actually haven't seen 3G at all since Friday night. Called Verizon and apparently there is an issue with 3G provisioning. They claim they are working on it and that there will be a fix in the next day. I know others say they fixed it with a hard reset but I don't want to do that if I don't have to, especially if its just going to break again later...

Hey guys I had the same issue in Baltimore, MD area and for me I had to factory reset and the 3g is now working when using cdma auto and its been running for about an hour now

Weird. Mine never had that problem.
Did a factory reset now (since I hardly customized my phone yet), and it seems to have fixed the 3G problem. Not only that, but now I have the updated market! (Before the reset, I had the old market)
Go to the market and download Restart Connections. If you lose mobile network after switching to the proper setting, run that app.
Edit: This will also get rid of the need to do a factory reset to regain data connection

it worked for me after a while. i turned it on outside my house and it worked, but for some reason my home wouldnt let me switch
Had a similar issue. Figured out that when I switch from LTE to CDMA (PRL) it will switch to 3g, it can take a while, however if I power off the phone it will not connect on reboot to 3g again have to switch back to LTE and go to 4g and then switch back again. Hope this helps
3g just started working and i did nothing (other than going without internet for hours until it started working).

My radio settings are correctly selected at CDMA+LTE/EVDO auto and I am on the MR2.0 radio.

Have not tried going back yet. Switched to 3G only and that has had a steady signal, albeit very slow......LOL
Verizon had 4G issues about a week ago, maybe there are still residual lingering issues?
not sure what is going on. the first 3 days with my bolt were great. i was on the OTA update (MR1 i am guessing) and had 4G singal at work and everywhere else i went, pulling about 20mp/s downloads all day long. but, for the last 5 days i have had spotty 4G, zero 4G at work. when i can connect to 4G i am getting like 5mp/s downloads. and that is IF 4G doesnt hang and not load anything. starting to get frustrated....not to mention, my buddy who sits right next to me at work has a droid Charge witth 4G and pulling just under 20mb/s here.
wondering if it is a LTE/ thunderbolt issue. the TB and LTE are not playing nicely together. not sure why that would be, but i dont have any other explanation.
having slow/non exhistant 4G with MR1, MR2 and MR2.5 radios.
im in queens. College point. Today 4g has been fine for me.
Came out today, I tried OTA but doesn't show up, hopefully pushing out soon. fixes

Wifi has this weird issue where it wants to scan my home network even though its connected a million times to it. Almost like it forgets lol. I usually have to disable then enable it; not a big deal i guess but still a bug for sure!

Yea mine does this alot too as well. I think this is what the OTA fixes, my memory is narrowed but all the MR said was

Mine does the same but after I wake the phone I have no problems. Maybe a 3 second delay reconnecting.

Release notes would be great. Photon WIFI/VPN is putting out extra packets which are then blocked by some routers. If the wireless router is used as a router and not an AP and IP6 is disabled, the problem seems to be corrected (i.e.: no reconnection failures in over a week when it used to happen every 2/3 days. See motorola photon forum for more details.)
My wifi seems to work pretty good at work and at home. I havent noticed the phone constantly scanning but I havent been looking for it either.
as of today my phone will not connect to wifi at all... release notes and date would be very much appreciated.

Any confirmation on this update? I have to reboot to use my GPS pretty much every time. SG2 comes out Friday, I'm returning it if I can't get a solution.

Me either always works and works great, also pretty fast as well. My issue is the voice/3G radio locking up and then the phone reboots.
so it seems some are having a WIFI issue and others voice/3G... rather odd thing going on there.

Might want to check and see if that said the 19th, pretty sure you guys don't have any MR's this week.
So sick and tired of this...spent 6 months fighting with Verizon about data outages daily with the Charge, not to mention numerous replacement devices and trying every modem that came out. Now the Rezound is pulling the same crap. I've been with VZW for over ten years and get treated like an idiot not only in their stores but on the phone. No data whatsoever today and even replaced the SIM...AGAIN. What gives?!?!

A lot of people having the same problem today. Happens every few days I guess as they tweak 4g
I tried to tell people for months in the Charge forum that it was the network doing that, not the phone but NOBODY wanted to believe it.
Now, my Wife is using my old Charge and it is no better or worse than my Rezound as far as losing data periodically.

my 3g won't come on half the time, other times it's just 1x, other times its just bars...and i sold a reszound today that wouldn't pick up 3g, and i just had a guy with ab ionic come in and tell me 3g was turning on and off by itself all day and he can't get data.

Oops, my particular problem was that I had the back off, so no antenna heh. Though I'm only getting 3G, so I guess 4G is problematic in this area...

There is nothing wrong with the phone, we had the same problem with the TBolt - it's the 4G system acting up, not the phone.

Just bought my Rezound a few hrs ago. They told me that 4g was down, and wouldn't be up fully again until around 11 or so tonight. Therefor, I also cannot activate it until then. She also tried to talk me out of buying it 3 times. What gives there?

either way, mine activated fine, and it wen through, but 3g just didn't come on..i didn't know there was an outage though until another customer came in telling me it was messing up on his bionic
I didn't give her a chance to push another phone. Instead, I made her tell me why "more than half" were being returned. She stated constant reboot, bootlooping and software problems. Said something about a software update coming, but didn't know when it was supposed to come.

So, I'm trying to run the SpeedTest.net application, and when it goes to find the closest server, it keeps saying "Network communications issues." Is anyone else having this problem? I can browse, and everything seems to be working fine. This is the only thing that's not working.

Sake issue here. Buddy of mine Tampa had the issues last night on WiFi AND 3G but has since been resolved for him. I am having issues on both too. Has not been resolved for me yet. He said that afterwards his speeds climbed to above 2MB on Sprint 3G after it was resolved though.

I have this problem too. I'm not certain if this is the case for you, but it is for me, my 3G service disconnects every minute or so for some reason. Because of that, it is difficult for the speedtest to complete.

I had this app added from a mybackup pro. Uninstalled and reinstalled speedtest and all is working fine.
I have had the same thing happen with other apps...most work fine, but a few require the uninstall/reinstall routine.

i kept running into network errors when i first got the phone but since changing from LTE/CDMA to just CDMA the error has yet to come back, when i drop signal for longer then 2-3 min it asks for my time zone
