Try "Circle Battery Widget". Great look to it, and it's very customizable. It won't show you time left but it will lead you into your phone settings "Battery usage" and "Battery stats" when you tap the widget. Hope that helps.
Were xan I find it in android market or black market

is there a simple app to keep track of the amount of time its been since you last plugged the phone into an outlet?
just want to know how long my phones been running on battery
i know the phone has a stock battery info on gingerbread but i can have my phone plugged in and it still says running on battery, and you have to pay attention to the lil dots underneath to figure out how long actually its been running on battery
i was using battery snap, which had that option, but according to system panel app, it was drawing way too much CPU/battery
any simple suggestions?
Drainguard. Loads of extra info.

do you have a link?
i see a rack of ones saying battery widget
battery monitor widget
battery indicator pro 4.0.4
So i like monitering my Task Manager to see which apps use the most RAM/CPU. I frequently see Handcent up to 10/15% CPU usage. As a moderate texter, do you think i should add Handcent to the auto-end list and risk missing text notifications, or should I deal with the CPU usage?

I keep it running and use rom tool box to lower CPU sliders down through out the day, then raise it to show it off to people haha
But then again I always have my phone plugged in when I'm by an outlet.

i m planning to swap to spb shell after found that go launcher drains quite lot of battery with its cool effect. now my question is, will it drains many battery juice as well? any user here?
thanks
GO Launcher is okay on the battery. SPB Shell should drain more if I'm not wrong.
SPB is surprisingly light on battery. I was under the impression that Go Launcher is a well-known battery hog, especially when laden down with widgets. Has always been the case in my experiences with it.

but go launcher sucks without setting its effect. and i found that oatest version of spd seems smoother than go launcher, i can even downclock to 600mhz with no lag.

Hey Guys, I was looking in the power section in settings and saw that "Screen" was using 64% of the battery. I have had It go from 40% to 80%. I was just wondering if this is normal, and is this the power the display is using or something else. I am urgent to know. Does anyone else have similar stats to this in their Power section of settings on a HTC Desire X.
Thanks,
Joe
That's a huge battery drain
I have this drain when I have 100 %brightness and all animations on. Now i have around 30-40 % screen usage (25% brightness and no animations)

I use the Phone App, Messages, Bad Piggies and occasionally Temple Run 2. On my home screen I use the stock HTC launcher with 1 BeautifulWidgets Widget and a few shortcuts.

64% doesn't mean your screen is using too much, it just means you don't use a lot of other apps. It's in percentage, not amount of energy used.
If you would have two apps both using 20% of the battery, and nothing else, your screen would be 60%. If you have five apps all taking up 15%, your screen would be 25%.
I mean, my screen takes up 70% now, and that doesn't have anything to do with brightness, cause it's set as low as possible. It's just affected by the amount of apps running.
