Fascinate users, my team and I are trying to decide whether or not to port over to the Fascinate. We would definitely love to, but want to get a feel for how many Fascinate users would be interested in a Bionix rom. Porting takes time and we'd have to purchase a Fascinate for testing, so we want to know if it will be worth our time and money spent.
Please post within this thread if this is something you would be interested in. Currently we develop mainly for the Vibrant. However, we have begun porting to the Captivate, and soon will be porting to the Epic, i9000, and G2.
Moderators, I apologize if this is in the wrong section, however, we feel we can get more responses if left within the development section.
Thanks Everyone!

Do you have a link to information about your ROM?
I'm not familiar with your rom or team but I'm always all for an alternative to try. I would gladly give your rom a shot when completed for the fascinate.

Please port this over, I've been super jealous of the vibrant users for this ROM for a long time and would really love to see this.
Yes, please. I would happily donate to support your work.

Seriously, add it. Its damn difficult to choose one
@all mik started porting for our phn cm7 when it had various bugs but noW is stable and creating a possibilty of creating official cm7,andy is up with beast rom on weekend, ciaox bringing sense and openoptimus great features, franco playing the best part in kernel without him it wouldnt have been possible to get our phn going for long wth smoothness ,battery, games etc.
So the list doesn't end up here so I beleive p500 thread belongs to all devs who has brought something or the other for the phone and yes even to all users who have always supported the dev and providing that extra boost as without the users nothing can come into use.
sorry for the long lecture but for me - TEAM DEV AND USERS
It really is hard to say bit any user rather advanced or noob is doing so much for our devices. If it weren't for people like djoptimus,Andy, mik, sweetnsour,Dr.notor,or ciaox we wouldn't have great insight on how to custom our phones. Anytime you have a well known dev blowing up the forums with new updates or unknown devs releasing there first rom I have nothing but respect

helping others is my way of giving back to this awesome community
its the most I can do. I am by no means a developer so there is no way I can develop a rom or kernel. but its still something at the very least

Say ALL optimus one devs... Ur favourite... Is not ur getting them somethung right?
Sent from my LG-P500 using Tapatalk
I think this poll is malformed because franciscofranco and fserve are kernel developers. Andy, mik and others are Roms developers or other things. So they compare in that sense I think it is very difficult.
Well it's just my opinion
Not to pick on anyone but a couple of these people I don't recognize as developers. A developer in my mind is someone who has written and released new code. Also, there's at least one I think you left out.
No offense but for what it's worth I didn't vote and I don't think it's fair to pit them against each other.
all developers all great, but i vote for mik as he first started porting cm7
drellisdee - the first to release an OC .32 kernel for the 01. Also, I think his adb push write up was the first I saw on getting root for the O1.
getitnowmarketing - the first to release a recovery (AmonRa)
Paulo - the first to OC the .35 kernel
Not the most active devs in the O1 community but certainly there names belong in this thread.
Excitement! OFFICIAL "THANK THE DEVS" THREAD (AOSP threads discussion) +others
"OFF TOPIC" discussion welcome here
Latest thread regarding AOSP builds here :: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1393779
PLEASE :: NO SPECULATION ON KERNELS, BOOTLOADERS, CPU OVERCLOCK, ETC.. IN THAT THREAD.(((if u must ask something similar to that do it here. But be weary. As those questions have been answered countless times lately so a quick skim thru the pages will get u an answer. Don't get mad at somebody if they get frustrated at you for asking about the danged kernel/bootloader ))
Please keep it uncluttered by thanking/discussing related.posts here in this thread
Okay I just wanted to start this thread since I know im not the only one DIEING to express my excitement for the work going on with 2nd init.
It seems we have ourselves some VERY dedicated devs working on this. Even dragonzkiller stopping in here and there to add info and help out.
that thread has been very fun to read
Especially since it is almost empty of posts like this clogging it up LOL
So I wanted to give a spot for anyone reading that thread to come and express how they're feeling so we can hopefully leave that think tank thread nice and neat with informative posts only and none of these "thanks! Keep it up" posts. THAT is what this thread is for so please keep em here. I am sure the devs working on this will stop in now and again to see how everyone is feeling.
PLEASE THANK THEM BY POSTING HERE.
OR BY PRESSING THANKS BUTTON TO THEIR POSTS IN THINK TANK THREAD as requested by them. Please don't go there and post "thanks"
So who else is excited as hell?!
12/5/11 EDIT::
I am noticing MORE & MORE off topic posts and "thanks this is great" popping up in the 2nd init /AOSP part2 threads.
I edited the title to make it pretty obvious what thus thread is for.
PLEASE EVERYONE ----ANY DISCUSSION THAT ISN'T DEV RELATED(this includes "yay kernels, bootloader comments, let's hack it" IS MUCH BETTER SUITED IN THIS THREAD.
P.S. --- it would be REALLY awesome to see the posts unrelated to the dev in those threads to get edited away to "de clutter" so that others aren't so inclined to respond to them adding more clutter. Thanks if u do this. And I will thank your posts as well after u edit out the clutter.
Im just hoping to see a nice smooth thread where we can see what's going on exactly without needing to "wade" through things looking for the devs posts. Thanks for your time.
And again...this is getting even better EVERY DAY. Im loving this.
Me for one! Thanks for the thread, great idea! Now we can talk about what's happening openly.
Sent from my DROID X2 using xda premium
Well the progess that they are doing is GREAT I can't wait until it's complete. Only question which I didn't see in the other thread was that this 2nd int is to be a full functionality one that would allow the removal of the kernel and switch to a better one?
Sent from my DROID X2 using XDA App
thank you guys! you guys are freakin amazingg! keep up the awesome work!
Sent from my DROID X2 using XDA App
Im loving just watching these guys go back and forth on the irc...
And please if u come there to watch...try to keep the "chatter" down so they can focus...
If they ask something off topic or talk yo ya go ahead and respond....but when they are doing their things just sit back an enjoy
If ya wanna talk with someone while in the dx2 channel do a private query to them
Thanks
Nice they're in irc too. Every time I went in there nothing was happening.

I recommend going there..
And leaving a window open or just minimizing it and coming back to check.
When its quiet but they there they usually working on stuff...
Then all of sudden they start lighting it up wit a bunch of conversation ....then quiet again for a bit and so on...
Just very interesting stuff to read
Ash good job on making a different post for the average person to say thanks to these guys without filling their post with cludder. Everyone should just kick back and enjoy watching them work and say thank you here.
I might have to make an appearance in IRC tomorrow night.
Im glad that this is getting off of the ground. At least we can all see that the dev phone isnt going to waste. I'm never one to complain about waiting. I only complain when updates aren't being provided. So what if all of your attempts failed? At least we know you're trying!
Good work guys.

Very exciting news!!! Im very grateful for all the devs & themers putting in their own time to make our misfit phone a better device. Still think this phone has lots if hidden potential just waiting to be released!!! Thanks again guys!
Thanks ash! I was gonna post and say "thanks for the hard work guys" in the thread, but felt that would've just clutter it up. Thanks guys!!!

I am super psyched to see developers working on this device. I have been following what devs like aceoyame have been doing on both droidforums.net and here. I finally created this account simply to thank the devs. However, I can not find the thanks button, weirdly. Anyway, here I am thanking all the developers for their efforts.
Great idea ash! Thanks to all the x2 devs!!!
Eclipse 1.3 RC
I love this community, and I can't wait to see what will be coming over the next couple of weeks. This is surely a great day for the Droid X2.
As far as I know, this 2nd-init will allow us to load custom kernels on top of the stock kernel as long as the boot sequence can be hijacked and told not to panic.. Only time will tell.

I was the first dev to sign up for it lol. I will be in that meeting @ 4 today.
Its for when CM9 merges I imagine. The x and the rest are framgented because they werent united for 7 (hence why GB is still unofficial) I think theyre trying to avoid that now.
Well as the title states I can get the vibrant added to the android open kang project builds (aokp). But I would need a working device tree.
I still have my vibrant even though I never really use it. But I would be willing to bring this rom to this device.
Of course it can be ported but what's the point when there is a dedicated build bot to do it for you? Anyways if you are willing to help shoot me a pm, I will reserve all credits for you. I simply want to spread a good rom to the device I learned on.

There is a port of this Rom a couple of threads below in this section, person who ported this might be interested in this.
Side note, you better be working on some kind of cool red theme for ICS!

I've got a lot of ics themes . But when and where I release them is the question.
But yeah I need a device tree to give constant support I'm sure I can hack one together, but since I have a gnex I'd rather not spoil my time. I'm simply trying to help out. I always loved my vibrant and just trying to show some love.

heck yes. That would be Amazing man. AOKP on ALL of my devices has a great ring to it.
Some here may not be familiar.
I've been trying to sync the repo for the last week or so but keep getting errors, I cant guarantee anything as I am in school and dont have that much time on my hands
I have most of the Device Tree set up, The only thing I'm missing is a kernel file
