Fascinate users, my team and I are trying to decide whether or not to port over to the Fascinate. We would definitely love to, but want to get a feel for how many Fascinate users would be interested in a Bionix rom. Porting takes time and we'd have to purchase a Fascinate for testing, so we want to know if it will be worth our time and money spent.
Please post within this thread if this is something you would be interested in. Currently we develop mainly for the Vibrant. However, we have begun porting to the Captivate, and soon will be porting to the Epic, i9000, and G2.
Moderators, I apologize if this is in the wrong section, however, we feel we can get more responses if left within the development section.

I would like to start a Bounty thread for anyone to make a working ROM of MIUI Rom.I would throw $20 in the pot to get this done.

This will probably be the next thing to be worked on after we get CM7 up and running. Which we're getting closer on. So you'll probably have to be patient Bud.
Miui on the photon lol? Yeah it'll be about a year before thats achieved. Dont hold your breath...
seeing as miui is 98% cm7 with very little else its honestly not that hard to imagine, however someone outside of the miui team wont have the necessary files to build from source
Is there another Motorola qHD device with a port? Looks like MIUIs only official Motorola phone is the Defy.

Asking a legimate question about the development of a ROM if anyone is gonna work on it is way different then asking for ETA's and complaining about a lack of ROM's imo.

2fast4u has done miui ports for other deivces like the HTC Desire (CDMA) and is working on the photon atm

But from what I was reading, they don't have it booting yet and it has been put on the back burner for the time being.

My MoPho will be arriving within the next 2 days, and I'll be relinquishing my beloved Evo to my wife (her phone crapped out and she's waiting for the iPhone...we're on the sprint family plan, so we can't get them until all public need has been met --- probably can't get it until February).
Anyhoooooo I LOVE Miui on my Evo and have it running like butter. But the MoPho is alleged to get better signal quality (I live out in the boonies now with no 4G and a weak 3g signal) and I tether off my phone for most of my internet needs.
On a side note --- I just started cruising the MoPho forums - why are there so few ROM's for this phone? Seems like a great device with very little Dev support ???
After a few requests and a general idea of what people wanted i contacted the dev team behind the ICE CREAM DOMINATION THEME and have obtained permission to port their theme to our device. this will be my first theme port as i usually just edit the files myself so bear with me as it might take me some time to get everything up to par with the current versions of the themes for the HSPA+ NOTE. I am currently just waiting on two things:
1) to hear back from the original devs on any conditions that they might have for me porting their theme
2) waiting on CWM recovery to be made for this device
Once these things happen ill be hard at work porting and should be able to release within a few days of everything getting approved etc. bear with me as i currently work around 70 hours a week and also I am in college also i do this in my free time and will do my best to get things done in a timely manner.

you could click on my sig and see the obssession revamped theme, screen shots are poor and doesnt make it justice the cool thing about it is we have it in all colors , truth is I have many more themes , like DRAGON ( has already been requested to be ported over to the note ) the orange theme for andromeda ( i897 - samsung captivate edition) I m also co-dev with paul diddy , so porting his theme over or helping him port it sould def be a great asset to the Gnote, tp see my work it might be better to click on 'see posts started by ' for pdiddy 's theme and others from my co dev team , in the op of the rom thread they are links to my co dev 's theme .
I dont know when rom will start popping out , I will receive mine in 7 business days , then I ll be able to post a basic rom ( deodexed ext power menu type of thing) but you can see from the saurom - Projekt thread (link in my sig) that this rom has extensive mods that will require time to port over here but I sure will port them all ...

im still relatively new to rom developement and i really am not comfortable on releasing roms i am mainly a themer at this point. if you contact twopumpchump or Da_G one of them might be able to do this port although i think that they are currently working on just a modded stock rom to get things started

I would like to get the dialer, status bar theme, settings menu, and others. I wonder if we can extract it from the Rom and port it over. Would it work? Is there an special procedure to get this done?

im not worried at all i know that weve got some great devs coming and hopefully in the future i can learn from some of you and eventually maybe work with some of you i was just answering questions from other users asking me to port roms etc. BTW cant wait to see what you have in mind for when you get your device...

ill look into it i dont have my note yet so itll be a few weeks before i can really even attempt any mods(dont wanna release anything like this without personally testing them) themeing is a little simpler and im confident i can get the theme out without having the phone but itll be like the 14th of march or so before i have the phone...

No development is not dead, if your new here, there are a couple things you should know. First, the dev doing all the work here, xboarder56, was banned I believe, he has his own forum and all of his roms are there. Nrgz28, an awesome dev, has an amazing rom. Faux123 has a kernel for OC/UV. Ics is being worked on by xboarder and a member of the cm team. A sense 4.0 port is on the works by a dev in xboarders forum. So, no, development is not dead. If we want more devs devving here, I think we should do what has been done before, a bounty. I believe someone has spoken to a member of the virtious team.
Edit: sorry, xboarder is working on an aosp build with texasice if you know who he is. And the cm team is working on, well, A cm9 build

Multiple different 3.0 ROMs, a 3.5 and ics in the works. Themes, mods, and toolkits can all be found. Feel free to change custom boot animation if you want. Haven't heard any update on miui.
Not sure I understand your question... What else do you need? Your question "is there anything we can do..." Yes there is something. You could always get s=off for us... There's like a 1k bounty that will reward you for your success.

Can't change splash screen without s=off... Only animations. AFAIK, s=off is a security flag put into a system partition to prevent us from flashing new radios, flashing splas screens, or flashing kernels in recovery... HTC has made it more difficult for devs to access this and hack the exploit, so we are for now... Stuck. Team Revolutionary has hacked a few devices, but they don't have an amaze.
It's becoming a pain in the ass. Because the phone is a North American marketed device (vs a world market device)lacks worldwide development... And devs that are in the states that can get the phone don't want it because no s=off.
There's approx a $1k bounty out for whoever hacks it though.... Although nobody seems to be biting on it.
The Amaze forum is a mess... Lol but the phone is a beast.
Edit.... As far as I know, the phone cannot be bricked. I've yet to hear of any "real" brick... Only soft bricks that can be fixed.

its not dead but, I have a feeling its going to be soon. with the discontinuation of the amaze... the parting of xboarder and binary to their own forum. The forum has lost its momentum. what is left from development is from before. compared to the sgsII forum, you can def call the amaze dead on development. yes xboarder is working on ICS and cyanogen is planning of an AOSP rom. I think we will see no other kernel developers besides faux, unless it's for ICS.. and I think the developers we have now are the only ones that we've got. With the anouncement of new HTC phones more developers are going to shift gears...some developers from here might even shift gears...they might send us an update on a rom here and there but that'll be it. if you look at the development of successful phones such as the nexus one, samsung vibrant, galaxy nexus etc, all of them are still going very very strong even though they came out 2 years ago, the vibrant a 2 year old phone already has multiple ICS roms available, multiple kernels, etc. we're pretty much done here. the developers we have here had to be bountied anyways. My personal opinion is that there is no interest left in the amaze development wise besides a couple of developers....sorry but have to be realistic.

I can't believe I went to tmo to buy a sensation, came out with the amaze jusr cuz I wanted. Man, all I wanted was roms!!

Sensation gets mad love, why?
I've been looking at what's been going on at xda & it seems like development for the Amaze is moving but not as fast as the sensation. Is it easier to develop for that phone than it is for this one. I known this phone has more power than the sensation so why are there so many ROMs for the sensation. Thanks for all your help guys.

I am going to wait and see how the new phones that T-Mobile gets. If the One X has more development, might as well to switch over with something that has more activity.
I would say there are two main differences between this phone and the Sensation. (1) The Sensation is owned by far more people (ergo, more developers), and (2) Development is more difficult without S-off. I'm just guessing here, because I'm not a developer, but those seem to be our biggest problems.

there is NO need for 4 ppl to put out THE SAME EXACT ROM with different "dev tweaks" a.k.a spent 5 mins to change it up to get a ROM posted because ppl like my work.
my goal for this forum is to inform the people.
inform the people who do the REAL work.
the REAL dev work and putting in the hours of time.
we also don't need 2 ROMs that are the exact same thing.
like I told newt and anyone else who wants the phone the more the merrier, but I am going to do EVERYTHING in my power to stop this community to turning into the Rezound, and I think I have enough ppl to support that.
I left apple because Android is open and shares.
I hope that this commmunity continues to ROCK!
I don't want any beef between Devs, trying to out do each other making the SAME ROM, give or take a mod or two different, let's worl together and produce something that is killer.
I left the Rezound a long time ago for a very good reason, way before the inc4 was on horizon, i even bought an inc2 back to 3g i hated that community so bad.
so far it seems this is like the inc2 on steriods!
let's hope it stays that way!

I am with you on this. Right now I am wanting to create a stock rom that is odexed still but yet has the color scheme of ICS. And of course as S-Off becomes available I will be willing to add more to it as well. I just think that as long as we work together instead of competing with each other we can have some solid ROMS that people will want to use as the daily driver instead of flashing every three days.

I see this as a great phone with lots of potential. I too am looking for a semi-stock (i.e. sense-based) daily driver that will suit my needs/wants. So far, what I've seen is that this (currently small) community has been extremely cooperative and respectful.
Well for those of you that know me I don't really do stock roms... I'll build one with all the goodies, but where I come in is when a new device is leaked with a version of sense or ics that we will never see I make sure we do... Porting roms is my thing its what I'm good at and what I enjoy... Everyone wants the next big thing. I myself don't mind sharing at all where I have a problem is when someone uses my work or my whole Rom without permission or credit or if I share with them and the favor is not returned that's the problem I have in the rezound forum and a couple other forums in the past

I do remember some of your great work. Some of them found a home on my OG Dinc for a while. As such, I feel I should clarify my "semi-stock" statement. Your "Optimized Shift" and "Incredible Sensation" ROMs could be included in my in my "semi-stock" comment - You take the best/newest from various sources (leaks, other "newer" phones) and make them work seamlessly within the target device. If I'm using the wrong terminology, please feel free to correct me as I certainly did not mean to offend. I too would be very happy if you were to pick up one of these phones!
