ok guys, so my tbolt is awesome and i'm happy with almost all of it except for the fact it likes to reboot when using heavy flash content. i've OC'd it to 1.4 dropped it to 1.2 now at stock.... also it makes my phone reboot even when looking at google docs....anyone else having this problem or found a solution to this?
What exactly are you running. I've flashed a couple different roms with different kernels and haven't run into that problem yet.
was running the adrenalyne ver. c kernel on virusrom. ran great was just running into that probelm... i swapped to imoseyon's normal kernel to see how that goes.

Are you running the new radio? The new radio has been implicated by some to cause random reboots.
nope. not running the new radio.... no reboots so far on the new kernel... will keep posted

So I updated to the latest OTA and noticed my 3g speed is less than half of what it was before and its been like that for a couple weeks now. I know its not a network issue because I activated the incredible just to see what the speed was on it and its at 1.2 Mbps like always. Anybody else seen the issue? Is there a way to keep the official froyo but downgrade to an older radio and see if that solves the problem?
are you on a custom kernel now vs before?
reason I ask is the rwin... most of the custom kernels have the rwin changed from samsung defaults (which is really low) to a number that all other android devices have...

I've been on a custom kernel pretty much ever since I've had the phone. What is rwin, in dumbed down terms? Maybe I'll go back to the stock kernel and see what happens. Another question or two, isn't the kernel in the boot? Why doesn't cwm backup the boot on the fascinate? It does on the incredible which makes it alot easier to go back to the stock kernel or a known working kernel if I flash a kernel my phone doesn't like.
Which kernel are you on now?

Nemesis2all. Filename is 0409-OTB-cwm2.5xx.
This probably wont help you but I have my fascinate on alltel and im experiencing the same problems . Only thing that will fix it is my changing my prl through qpst and flashing a new modem . But then it will go back to half speed after a hour or two.im going to go all the way back to stock and see what happens

I tried five different kernels including the stock one with no difference so I'm gonna say it isn't a kernel issue. I think I'm gonna go back to 2.1 and see what happens.
Went all the way back to 2.1 and still the same thing. Updated to 2.1.1 with ea28 radio like I had before all this started and still the same. Maybe it is a network issue but it's funny how the incredible was getting the usual 3g speeds.
I am currently running the Evil Fascinate 3.6 Rom with the OTB Reloaded 1.6 Kernel and the official ED04 Radio. Definitley like this setup but was wondering if there is anything else i should try? Haven't really done anything as far as overclocking but i would like to speed up my phone a bit but not too much were it kills my battery. and would like to get the best possible signal as far as the radio goes. The radio I'm using i will sometimes have a missed call or lose satellite location within the GPS. Just looking for any setup recommendations that someone else might be using that is getting a great result in every category. Any theme recommendations would be appreciated as well. I don't have a theme flashed yet with the EF 3.6 because I like the black theme.
I'm running ComRom 2.1 over ED01 with imnuts' PBJ -50 voodoo kernel. My fascinate doesn't take kindly to overclocking so PBJ is perfect. Phone's pretty snappy and gets good battery life (24+ hours on a full charge with moderate use), and I have yet to miss a call. Signal is decent like always and I usually get a pretty quick lock with gps.

I use Jt1134's CM7 (0704 build) with Nemesis2all's OTB for MIUI/CM7 (0704 build)
I have it OCed to 1.4 GHz running stable. (Battery life is excellent too. . .*)
I use the ED01 radio. It seems very stable and the signal is great.
*Still needs calibrated though. . . will update when done.
Question about CM7?
Ok thanks for the info. Quick ?, are you running into any problems with the CM7 rom? Heard some people had issues with MMS and some other things?

MMS is not functional in CM7. At all. Since I rarely (if ever) need or use MMS, I don't mind.
Keep in mind CM7 is still in an alpha state. So it has a couple minor issues (LED cannot be used as a torch, there is a little bit of lag in some of the sensors, etc.) But it is the most functional "alpha" I have seen.
Running EC09 radio. No complaints here.
Im running the same ROM/kernel ED04 radio setup and am getting SOD frequently. You having that problem?

never heard of that happening with ComRom, I suspect ED04 may have something to do with it.. I don't really know what to do about that except maybe a full data/cache wipe and reflash of ComRom or changing your radio to ED01 or maybe even EB01, never had a problem with those

Everything has been running superbly with this set up
Ok so I'm on plane Jane v3 , which is like the stock mr2 Rom, only for root users. Now every once in a while it feels a bit slow. So I tried overclocking it with the latest and greatest imoseyon kernel, it worked but it made 3g unusable. The3g signal is there, but there's no connection, although 1x does work on cdma only. Then I tried drods kernel that overclocks to 1.8 ghz, its an old version but also had the same problem.
My question is, do you guys know of any overclocked kernels that work on this Rom, I would be on perfect storm 1.5 but the link is broken, and doesn't look like it will ever be fixed.
I know you can't post links but names would be appreciated

Again, link, broken, me, screwed
If I'm not mistaken, you cannot use kernals with the leaked MR2 or the official OTA that came out in early july, they don't have the actual source code yet. You have to use the stock kernal thats built into MR2. This is the cause of your radio issues.

well, that explains. The link doesn't work on my phone, guess I'll have to try on my slow pazass laptop. No pun intended
I'm using Aura right now, and randomly my phone these past few days have been defaulting to speakerphone on when I place a call or pick up a call. It's very very irritating. I'm not sure what's going on as I haven't downloaded any new apps or anything that would affect the speakerphone. Anyone have any ideas or have come across this issue? I would like to not have to reflash everything again, but that's just me...
That's weird im running Alien Rom and it just recently started doing that to me as well.

Do you guys have GO SMS Pro? I recently got an update today which states in the chance log that it fixes this problem! Hope that helps.

Do you use GO SMS Pro? Someone in another thread said it might be that issue...but I don't know.
Small problem here, wondering if anyone else is having this issue.
Used the kernel with two different roms pwgb and tsm1.0, same result. The phone just restarts itself. Did a clean flash. Problem does not happen on the 9/28ish release of the kernel. Any suggestions?

From what I've read recently the 10/18 build has some issues. I'm running TSM 1.0 with the 10/12 build and it's pretty stable.
I had my best results with the 9/28 and 10/5 tks kernal. The reboots started for me at 10/10 for me... for some reason disabling lagfix cured the reboot/lag for me, but I don't know how or why to be honest.

There have been a lot of people saying they had to disable lagfix to stop the lag. I get lag regardless of whether it's enabled or not, but my quadrant score goes from the 940's to above 1500. Wish my performance matched the numbers...
