Who would use a Rom that's a merge of the Sensation Rom and the features of CM7? I mean I love Sense 3.0 and CM7 has a lot of awesome features I think that would be freaking amazing any comments or opinions on this Idea? I'm not currently capable of making such an amazing creature but I would if I was just thought I'd throw it out there!

That is for the INC, but he mashes sense and CM7 together VERY well. Some great roms for the INC. Now if we can only get him to come over to the TB lol.
Yes and then his roms will be ours! MWHAHAAHA
I personally have been kinda fantasizing about this very thing. The customizing of CM7(and gingerbread of course) along with like the lock screen and animated weather and other widgets of Sense 3.0 all blended into a nice big pile of awesome. Sadly neither of these roms are really functional yet, so a blend of the two is surely a ways off in the distance. But I for one would love to see it happen.
The new working lockscreen on Sensation rom is amazingly awesome!
Question is which Gingerbread based rom do you think is running a smoother UI and offering the most stable user experience given the video driver issues?
CM7 updates much more frequently, so they have shown more progress on hardware video acceleration, but that doesn't mean Gojimi isn't also working on it, it just wasn't part of the RC1 that is out there. With respect to a smoother UI, Gojimi has released VTLauncher separately so I personally am running the latest CM7 with VTLauncher, for the best of both worlds. I really appreciate having the dock on the bottom, not the right, other than that I turn off the sidebars anyway...
With the CM team making so much rapid progress I'm not even really sure what would motivate Gojimi to work on an almost identical ROM, although he does have more GTab specific experience whereas CM is generic, and then Mad-Murdoch drives the tablet specific features. I actually appreciate Gojimi's other projects more.

Excellent Feedback. Agree Gojimi is awesome and VTLauncher is pretty sweet.
I prefer donut myself
This is a toughy. I'm a long time CM fan from way back with my MyTouch. But I've been using Vegan since I got my Gtab. I just switched to CM7 and so far I'm loving it. I appreciate the frequent updates simply because it satisfies my hunger for flashing (that sounds bad). I'm also liking that CM7 has migrated the nightlies to the 2.3.4 strain of Android. Video playback - ech. That topic has been done to death and now all we can do is wait and see. Right now, my money is with CM7 until I see what future Vegan releases bring.
Tablet VS Phone
I prefer VegaN due to its more tablet friendly approach. CM7 felt like a phone, and the even murdoch's tablet tweaks felt like an afterthought. For me not having video hardware acceleration is not a big enough trade off to switch back to CM7 nightlies. VTL in Vegan GE itself is a huge +1.
Didn't vote, but running VeganGinger, and watching CM7
VGinger is based on CM7, so I think of it as a teaser for the next rev of Vegan.
No matter what, VTL Launcher got an instant donation out of me. Awesome.

I think that the tablet tweaks on CM7 look nicer than Vegan, and VTL works nicely too. I'm not sure about your hardware acceleration comment. Neither release has full support yet.
I liked VT Launcher so much I bought it for my droid. Its pimpin
Im also telling Gojimi everyday it's time for an update. He is buried in projects right now.
+1 for the VTLauncher
I started with vegan ROMs and if it wasnt for my other phones running CM and addiction to the nightly build bot I'd still be running vegan ROMs.
I also echo whats been said about VTLauncher. It rocks for tablets. That plus tablet tweaks and the honeybread theme for CM7, Im a happy camper.

My favourite desert is definitely the Sahara. Size is everything!
...but seriously, I run CM7 nightlies but props to gojimi for his contributions. I'd like to him to be more open about his plans and progress, but he certainly doesn't owe me anything

Seriously.....Gojimi has not forgotten the community. I chat with him several times a day and he is busy working on his launcher and trying to tweak his next release. I think hes waiting for the hardware accelleration issue to finally be completely fixed and I saw a post earlier that DSP may be fixed. (I think Oozura said it actually ) He has tweaked enough stuff from cm source that he just cant produce as fast as cm can. Lots of changes from source he has to manually fix.
He is also busy working on bugs in his launcher in Honeycomb. Minor but major headaches. He's not a big poster because his head is buried in code all the time.

Hey all - I will be getting a Galaxy Nexus soon and was going to give my Eris to my little brother (10 years old) as a Wi-Fi device. I currently have a gingerbread rom on there, but it's not very fast/smooth/stable (widgets take forever to appear on homescreen, navigation crashes). I don't care about the theme or anything else, I just want the rom to be stable and smooth. Any suggestions?
I always liked CELB Froyo myself. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=723263

I am having T Mobile Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant phone T 959. Would like to know when GB 2.3.X will be available for this model.
Any idea?
Never "officially"

There are plenty of custom GB ROMs, as well as many many 2.2 ROMs with excellent battery life and GPS. Also the hot ROM is ICS-Passion but it is beta and has some bugs to be developed out.
Dont even bother waiting for Official GB 2.3. Waste your time looking for it. Not worth it. Just use the custom rom like Woodrube said.
Ice Cream taste so much better...
I actually like the look and feel of Sense on CleanRom GBE as opposed to CleanRom ICS. Anyone else feeling Gingerbread over Ice Cream Sandwich? The only things I really miss are the ICS browser with hardware acceleration, and the AOSP ICS widgets.
I'll chime in. I love ics and all it offers but everytime I restore a gb build, I'm blown away by the smoothness and speed. RezRomIcs seems the best I've tried.
So for now, gb, but I'm looking forward ics and sense 4.0 final builds.

I will agree I also like the feel of GB over ICS.
I think ICS do require a little bit of time to get used to and settle in. I have used Xoom tablet with honecomb and also ICS 4.0 before got the rezound. After playing both, I have to say, I really love the feel of ICS and I cannot wait for the rezound to upgrade.
I have an Acer Iconia Tab and when I bought it, I had ICS on my Rezound. When I played with Honeycomb finally I was disappointed by it after having used ICS. I wasn't real happy with buying the tab but after installing a leaked ICS copy on the tab I realized how much I truly enjoy ICS. I agree GB is fast and fluid, but ICS is just sexy and will be on par or better than GB once a source code is released for it. Remember the rezound doesn't officially have ICS so the developers on here do an amazing job porting and polishing the roms to play nice. Coming from an OG Droid, to a Droid X, HTC Thunderbolt and now the Rezound I can truly say that I have seen great development for Android and look forward with whats to come.
ICS all the way.
I definitely prefer ICS, but I've held off on the ROMs until the official OTA comes out. It would probably be fine, but I don't mind waiting.

Same here.
With my Droid Incredible, I thought ICS was cool, but not fast or smooth enough for daily use. I feel the Rezound with RezRom 3.3 is very smooth though, I'm loving it. Hopefully the Sense 4.0 ROMs will become as fast soon.
I definitely prefer the Sense 3.6/4.0 dock to the 3.5 and earlier dock on the bottom of the screen. I love being keep a folder there with a handful of apps.
Jury is still out on my Kindle Fire though. I've tried out a couple ICS ROMs and I wish it was just a little faster.
I like elements of both. Really wish the M10 editor worked for the newer versions of sense though so we could customize lock rings and such. Got kinda spoiled.
Yeah , I am running the leaked ICS Ruu and have not had any real problems.
Phone runs fast and smooth and I really like it.
I for one can not wait for ICS, I had a great time with GB but now it's time to move on to newer and better things.

ICS vs GB
ICS Google Maps has a different verbal 'directions' lady.
I prefer the voice in GB.
It would be awesome if they could do sense 4 on gb haha

I am thinking about going back to GB since I haven't been on it since I got this phone. I mainly need to switch back for Skype to not have a green screen, family is getting tired of it. If anyone knows of Skype working good on ics, please tell me which rom you are running. I'm on bamf 2.1 and I've tried some sense4.0 but none work. Also, which GB rom is the best? Never thought I'd go back, so I never kept up with them.

I agree. The voice in ICS for verbal navigation is not good. I wonder what the reasoning behind choosing that voice was. The lady in GB wasn't great, but the one in ICS is atrocious.

And that's funny because I couldn't disagree more. I absolutely hated the GB voice, and the ICS is definitely an improvement.
