i have HTC wildfire A3333 android v2.2.1 is there any racing games which can work fast
If you mean 3D racing games, you're not in luck, because the Wildfire doesn't have the GPU to run games like these. If you are rooted, then enabling JIT and an overlock would increase the gameplay, but I doubt it would be perfect.
Pocket Racing is just nice.
Drag racing is very interesting...
is very light and it is free...
it is in the official market
I remember that Raging Thunder worked smoothly for me.

I don't recommend overclocking as it could hurt the device , so that it's not allowed for non rooted users ، but what is JIT ?

Overclocking doesn't seem to harm the system in anyway. Running an OCed Wildfire from the past 6 months + and no issues. Anyway, JIT stands for Just In Time Compiler which is said to speed up Froyo over Eclair by upto 5x. Unfortunately, JIT will not work with Sense ROM's, so again, its a no go for enabling JIT on Non Rooted Devices.

Even with the hardware, as I have said, I have not seen anything wrong to my hardware after OC'ing, and infact, because you can UC (Underclock) when the screen is off, battery life for me is far improved.
That said, I fully agree with you that this will probably shorten the life of the hardware, but, I am pretty sure in assuming that when that time comes, my Wildfire will already have been retired long back.
As for JIT on CM and other AOSP ROMs, no, theres absolutely no risk involved.

Thanks a lot this post was very useful ، nice idea to uc when the phone is idle.
Maybe you are some heavy phone changer so that reducing the life of the phone is not a big problem , it's all about the user I think.
Will try to JIT soon.
Sent from my HTC Wildfire using XDA Premium App
Not really. A phone has to last atleast 2 years for me. If I were a heavy changer, I would already have upgraded from the Wildfire till now.
Ah 2 years , the same as me , but I've only got my wildfire from 4 months

Yes The Team Whiskey-/ Dragon and some of the Eugene kernels can over clock very well I had one 1.45 The problem with o.c is the battery drain
But any of those do well in the over clocking world.

It could just mean that the developers of Nexus S put a higher voltage at the higher clock speed, which also means that it kills your phone faster.
You don't gain something from nothing. Oh and I am not talking about battery life....

A newer device with (in all likelihood...this is a guess based on decades of experience with CPU's) a newer revision stepping of the Hummingbird CPU. CPU/GPU manufacturers are ALWAYS fine tuning their designs, primarily for higher yields and better stability. This plays out predictably in the desktop x86 environment with concepts like speed-binning and overclocking in that arena, so it should come as no surprise that this plays out in other areas as well.
Newer board layout with design experience gleaned from manufacturing a few million Galaxy S devices? Reduced capacitance and resistance issues due to layout changes, altering of support components, changing trace lengths...etc, so on and so forth. All of these things can play out for significant and measurable improvements in stability. Manufacturers learn as they "do", the same as we do.
In other words, there are all sorts of easily plausible reasons why.
These sorts of things all have a significant effect in the desktop/laptop system world, so there is no reason to assume they wouldn't carry over to the smartphone universe.

You could try a new rom like Cyanogen mod 7. It should work. Also use setcpu with it.
2.1? Time for a new ROM! From what I understand Gene's latest ROM supports overclocking, if you want to keep Sense on your phone.

Its dependent on the kernel, not the rom. If the kernel doesn't support higher frequencies then you wont be able to overclock. I'm not aware of any overclock kernels for 2.1 on the aria but somebody else might.

Yes and this was already done in new roms (Cyanogen mod) based off of an overclockable kernel.

I put the Liberated ROM on my gf's phone and it runs nicely, without overclocking. Throw in setCPU and there should be not much that can slow it down.
Ehh. I think ill just go back to an iPhone or maybe stick with getting the Inspire. This phone ruined Android for me.
Sent from my HTC Liberty using XDA App
Well with that attitude you might aswell get an iPhone, it seems to fit your personality better.
Having said that... normal 2.1 sense without OC is smooth as butter, as is liberated 2.2.2 with and without OC. Or, if sense is what you're complaining about, install CM7 like others have suggested to eliminate it entirely.
I'm sorry you don't like your phone. I always like to try mine out at the store before I buy them.
Well where I got my phone they don't let you try them out. I was just going by what people said on here and else where for my phone choosing.
But the main issue is, I use my phone like a laptop almost. I check xda all the time. I use it for entertainment. I text almost 24/7. I also use it as my only music player, as my mp3 players never last long. But then phone doesn't perform well enough in most or all categories. Iphones kind of do, but I consider them overrated and bland. Even with jailbreak. I like HTC sense because its got enough eye candy, and its very user friendly. I also prefer CM7 as well due to its blazing speeds. But I want to have a phone that suits most of my needs, and I don't know if my thoughts on the inspire are correct or not, but I think it would suit me perfect, as the aria definitely does not.
Sent from my HTC Liberty using XDA App
You would be better suited to get a phone with a larger screen and armv7 processor. The inspire has both of these although the battery life is not as great out of the box. I would also recommend the Samsung captivate, as it has a super amoled screen but not front facing camera. CM7 has just added support for it as well.
Sent from HTC Aria - CM7 NIGHTLY + Drowning Kernel
Well I don't really need the super quality screen of the captivate, as I'm not a freak on screen quality. But I'm near my charger quite a bit, so bl isn't a giant issue either. My biggest issue is speed and screen size. I have to type in landscape with the aria or I mess up every other word.
Sent from my HTC Liberty using XDA App
I suggested the Captivate because it has an arguably better screen and can be had for cheaper than the inspire. The inspire will seem awkwardly huge coming from the aria (3.2" vs 4.3"), where as the captivate is still a step up at 4" but easier to handle with one hand. Also with ARMv7 processors you get REAL flash support (10.1+) whereas the Aria (and any other ARMv6 phone) only gets Flash lite 3.1(?) this is a huge caveat for me and will probably be my excuse to upgrade.
Well when I first got the aria, it was because looked down on touchwiz. I wanted a phone I could like out of the box, then root it for more fun. The aria sort of hit that spot, but I think the inspire will hit it out of the park. I really like sense, and thats my main reason for getting a sense phone.

Well now I'm checking out the atrix. 50$ upgrade refurbished, sounds nice to me. Future proof myself and get rid of blur and well be all good. Right?

overclocking makes a big difference. it can increase fps by 10-15.

Really? I'm running 2.3 cm mod and I can easily get past a day (without hardcore gaming). I have even managed to get it to 3 days by underclocking it with setcpu. Maybe you should have a look at what's using up alot of your battery and make adjustments to it.

I want unlock bootloader on my ray mostly because of overclock and now wont to now how much is really performance improvement with overclock, in other words does it pay of the risk of loosing warranty?
thx
Unlock bootloader and overclock only if you aren't satisfied with your current performance ... It surely sounds sweet but You will surely void your warranty by overclocking.... If you are a new bie then I don't recommend overclocking because you may brick your device or worst burn your CPU... It is must to have enough basic android experience such as rooting first.

If u unlock ur bootloader it will void ur warranty. It will be good if u overclock it, like others say.
I've seen some reports about ppl burning their phones because of OC....
I would not really recommend it. 1GHz is enough for your phone being smooth.
But if you must OC it, be careful and don't overdo it. Don't OC to like 1.6GHz - 1.8GHz like some sorry dumbasses do.
After all It's better to have a working phone then a burned one
I'm not trying to be a smartass here, just trying to make you think twice before doing it
According to my experience 100mhz =+2 max fps u can use supercharger v6,built.prop n init.d tweaks these won't affect your phone's life
