A week ago I Odin'd back to stock and upgraded to the official 2.2 VIA Kies Mini. I have not rooted since or really even restored any of my old apps. No mods, just a stock Vibrant now. While I was playing WordFeud the phone locked up for about 20 to 30 seconds then on the screen it stated a screenshot has been taken. I then checked the Gallery and sure enough there was a picture of the screen. My question is has anyone seen this or know what happened. I checked the WorFeud app help and it didn't mention anything about a screen capture feature. Is there some sort of button combination on the new 2.2 Release that allows for screen captures to be taken? I was pretty confused by this, please let me know your thoughts and/or experiences.
OK, I see others have encountered this too and I would of found that if I searched correctly, as in spell correctly. OK, I see that people are saying to hold the back button and hit the home or menu button. I have tried these methods and have yet to make it work again. Either way, since this is sort of covered already, without a clear answer though, MODS feel free to delete.
Crap, didn't see your thread.
I encountered the same thing today and it was pretty nice. Still trying to figure out how to do it. Its a nice feature!
I did it too....im not rooted at this time. Cant figure it out.....

Yeah I've done that too accidentally. Don't know how though.
Updating to Stock 2.2 from Kies is probably your first mistake, that ROM is so bad I couldn't stand it for more than a day. Flashed Trigger and reborn I was. Plan into getting a custom ROM for your phone because screenshots are not the only thing you will encounter annoying from Samsung's Froyo.
I ended up with screen shots in my gallery and I have no idea how they got there. There was never a notification or anything.
There is something built in, but I don't think the Vibrant really supports multitouch on the capacitive buttons. My girlfriend can do this on command, but only in the mms app. She clicks back, and when she feels a delayed haptic feedback, she pushes home and it works everytime.

Yes I have had the same thing happen, it definitely a timing thing I tried to master but only get 10% effective so I stay with shoot me,, just a weird glitch in the phone

Yeah, I was rocking Macnut R14 for a while after trying a few others. I updated to Samsung 2.2 to test out because a friend was thinking of trying it and asked if I would try it first. I was bored of it within a hour I think but gave it a few days. Bionix and DOW Kernal on it now.
I'm excited to get this tablet (after ordering an Archos 101 and getting fed up with the delays) and am looking forward to tinkering with some ROMs. I have some experience with Android (rooted Droid X owner) so I have no doubt I can figure it out.
My question is which custom ROM is the best all-arounder (reliability, speed, updatable, features, support, ...)?
I'm sure each has their strengths and weaknesses, but what I'm looking for is maybe some arguments for/against each from experienced users. (And yes I've watched the youtube videos and such but its hard to tell long term satisfaction from a 5 min video) Thanks in advance.
Zeebok1337,
I'm sure people are not thrilled that I always give this answer, but I think you need
to use the stock tablet and get the stock updates for a while.
When you have charged it and turn it on the first time, you will need to find the
Settings icon and check the About tab to see what version you're on. So far people
are getting 3389.
Then set up your wifi Internet access. Within a couple of minutes, you should get
a Notification on the upper right portion of the screen telling you an OTA (over the air)
update is available -- probably 3588. If so go through the routine and D/L and
install it.
That done, you should have a good G-Tablet, but you will not have Market and
some other stuff most of us want. You also will need to go in and set the date/time
and a lot of other little details on the Settings icon.
http://www.viewsonic.com/gtablet has a bunch of pages of info on the G-Tablet --
and best of all the "Favorites" tab has links to a lot of the more common D/Ls.
By the time you do this and the do your homework reading here at XDA, you should
begin getting an idea of what the tab can do and where you want to go.
I don't recommend any of the experimental stuff, or perhaps even the gingerbread
stuff until you have your feet on the ground and know what you are doing.
That means basically I think you would be happiest with the TNT Lite or Vegan ROMS.
Both basically do the same thing and speeds are compatable. In the beginning, Vegan
was a little more sophisticated with screen lock, good graphics, etc. But as VS has
improved with updates and Roebeet has added stuff, TNT Lite has become just as
sophisticated. So flip a coin or make your best guess and go from there.
You just need to take time to know what you want and how to do it so you don't
wind up with a semi-brick like all too many folks do...........

Very good info. Does any of these Roms have sync with Google calendar and Contacts ?? And if so which Rom does that ?

I can't speak for them all, but TNT Lite does. It replaces most of the Viewsonic apps with stock Google apps (The browser and the music apps being the exception). Most likely most of them do, however - just read up on their posts to see what each offers.
Thank you. I really want to leave the stock rom and if there was a way to add Google calendar and contacts sync ( like there is with Gmail with the enhancment) I would keep it but I really need my contacts and calendar. Again Thanks.
Corwins CM7 FTW.
I recommend installing a keyboard with key height adjustment like thumb keyboard, disabling the capacitive buttons with button remapper and using button savior for soft buttons.
Also, the case crown kindle dx case from amazon is a great fit and looks great.
I am in the same boat. GTablet is charging right now. I have an Archos 101 and decided to get a GTablet for playing with. I have an EVO phone but I have never rooted anything so far. I have a computer background so I can probably work it out. Also have a little help from my friends.
Woot G Tablet on the bench
First off I would like to thank Butchconner for the advice I have seen on this forum on getting started with a new G Tablet. "Leave it stock for awhile"
Mine is on the work bench right now charging. It was one of the Woot deals. I am currently using an Archos 101 I got just before Xmas and it works great with no rooting or custom ROMS. I managed to get the wife to use it to read some books from the Kindle store. Look up technophobic and my wifes picture will be there.
I got the Viewsonic because of the Woot deal (Damn that big shinny button).
I'm thinking of leaving the G Tablet stock for the wife right now but she has gotten used to the standard Android interface on her EVO phone. In fact she has gotten pretty good at using the phone.
I understand that the stock user interface for the Viewsonic is very different than what would be seen on the Android or the EVO. Right now I'd just like to get the wife using it to read books and move on to other things later.
Most of the posts regarding the rooting and updating of the ROM's seem a little excessive to me right now. What I am afraid of is the Viewsonic with the stock interface may be too foreign for my wife. Any comments from the forum users?
Thanks again.
The 3588 build (which should arrive as an OTA Update) has a more generic launcher built in. Easy to switch to it if your wife prefers the standard Android interface. No need to load a custom ROM unless you choose to.
what I did with my woot-g
charged it all the way up
started it up
added to my wi-fi
ran the update (it'll ask you to)
rooted
installed clockwork recovery, did a backup, reboot
copied backup to sdcard2
recovery, repartitioned (2048/0), factory reset, reboot
recovery, backup again, reboot
copy new backup to sdcard2, copy old backup back to sdcard
recovery, restore old backup, reboot
played a while then installed TNT lite.
probably missed a few steps but overall this made backups as soon as I could while moving forward. There is no comparison between the stock rom and TNTlite, am looking forward to trying vegan5.1.1
Yeah I jumped 20 feet forward and installed VEGAN Gingerbread even before it was fully charged. played with it a little, then read some more and installed VEGAN 5.0
loving it and haven't even scratched the surface yet.
I charged it, then when it was fully charged, i installed CWM, then VEGAN.
I never did a OTA update before installing CWM and VEGAN.
Does that mean that I messed something up or will lose some functionality?
ZB
I got mine yesterday (FL)
and as this is my 3rd tablet (wife has an augen and I have a ZT180) I have to say that the ROM that is pre loaded is MUCH better than you have heard.
Now it may not be lightening fast, but what will you be comparing it to?
No Market, but I have about 9 DVD's full of APK's that I will NEVER get through.
That being said I DID the TNTLITE update, but then again I cant even ESTIMATE the number of FW flashes I have done since I got the Augen in August (which BTW is also a pretty decent tablet)
but I have to say, there is a RUMOR around the net that ONE of the more recent updates from viewsonic will NOT allow a 3rd party flash, but like I said I did 1 over the air update to 3588 and then went TNTlite
but I also have a lot of experience doing them, BUT I will say hands down this is one of the best tablets I have used (even at the retail price)

No....Vegan should have entirely replaced the original firmware so it made no difference whether you updated or not.
I've only really used Cyanogenmod on my HTC Incredible. On my tablet, thus far, I've tried vanilla, Cyanogen, and Vegan. I think I've found Vegan to be my ROM of choice.
TNT Lite
I just flashed the newest edition of TNT lite (4.4.0) and I was blown away by how easy it was. I would really recommend it. Very easy to use for anyone who is not a pro at this kinda stuff.
Woot Deal
Hey guys just got the tab off woot. Charged it then. Loaded clockwork then cleared cache data then rebooted. Then added tnt 4.2 it worked for about 6 hours then of course when I tried to turn it on it keeps rebooting. What should I do? Is it a good idea to take the tnt off? Or can I do that? I'm just pretty upset right now. Can anyone help me out please?
To fix the boot loop you will need to repartition the card and then reinstall the ROM. Boot into clockwork mod then select repartion and set 1st selection to 2048 and second to 0. This will wipe your tab tho. You will then have to reinstall the ROM.
Thanks
You saved my life man. For some reason the stock rom has been erased for the tab also. Does anyone have the stock rom?

Stock ROMs found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=842000
I recently bought a g tab but it's still in the mail. In anticipation of its arrival, I was wondering what the experience of people who recently purchased their g tab (within the last few weeks) has been. Specifically,
Did you play with the stock rom? What did you like/not like about it?
Did you install a custom rom? If so, which one? If not, did you do anything to make your stock rom experience more enjoyable?
I plan to play with the stock rom for a few days before deciding to mod.

Got mine before the recent rush...
Play with stock ROM? Yes... Hated nearly everything but appreciated the concept.
Install Custom? Yes... about two hours in. Knowing I would never have to deal with the initial stock load again made the experience very enjoyable ;-) Tried several settled on TnT Lite. Eventually upgraded to TwoTapsX but I rarely leave a ROM installed for more than a few days before I start playing again.
Oh... "Soft" bricked on day three or four... and several times since then. The devs here have supplied some great information and the community is happy to share it. Makes it a little easier to deal with that inevitable feeling of panic...
Welcome aboard and enjoy.
I got mine a few days ago from woot . I am sticking with stock for right now. I do not think switching over a ROM is necessary for me at this point. Since I am new to the android system, I want to learn how it works before i go in and switch stuff up. Also, with the rumors of an update in the 'near' future, I thought i might wait to see what happens. Of course, near could mean 3 months.
stock was a little annoying at first (maybe cause I didn't know what I was doing), but I enjoy it. Maybe it is because I have not experienced TnT Lite or played with any other tablets, but stock seems to run just fine for me. the stock app store is sub par, but it gets the job done. I downloaded the amazon marketplace app and got a few apps from there.
I am not the main user on it, my wife is, so mostly angry birds is being run haven't pushed its limits much.
Got mine yesterday. The stock ROM lasted the 10 minutes it took me to root the thing and install vegantab. This thing is blazingly fast. Nice bump up from the Archos 101 I previously had. I'm missing the kickstand and HDMI port the Archos had. Other than that the gtab is better. The screen angle viewing is pretty much a wash. Great buy from woot.
Got mine last night. I see what many are saying about the viewing angles, but I also don't find it that distracting. I can see how a glare reducing screen saver might help and will probably buy one. Charged it and updated to 3588 (while coaching my sons soccer team). Played with tapntap for about a minute and knew I hated it (I'm on my 3rd Android phone, an Evo and all have been rooted and heavily modded). Installed clockworkmod, partitioned storage and installed VEGAn. Much better. Unfortunately, I didn't get a whole lot of time to play further. I did notice that the market is missing a ton of apps like all browsers, es file manager (was installed in stock rom) and a bunch more. I'll look into resolving that this evening. One issue I have with the capacitive buttons beyond no back light is the placement. When using the tablet in landscape (most of the time?) I found myself accidentally hitting the back button repeatedly.
I recieved mine on Tuesday afternoon. I have not had a lot of time to fool with it yet. So far I have kept the stock ROM (as suggested by roebeet and others) until I get used to it. This is my first Android device, so I'm at a low point on the learning curve.
First impressions: the interface is fairly intuitive. I found most everything I was looking for.
The viewing angle is also a non-issue to me so far. I don't plan to watch videos or play games with a lot of animation, so I don't care about that. I may change my mind later when I try to read documents and/or books, we'll see.
Went to the app store and downloaded a couple of free games. I had no problems or issues with downloading or gameplay (very simple games). One game screen was distorted a bit from stretching to the larger screen, but it was a non-issue to me.
I did some web browsing, and had the same issue as jp8tr: kept accidentally brushing the "back" button in the middle of reading something. Watched a short youtube video and the playback was just fine. I noticed some pages loaded slowly and occasionally it would hang.
Overall, I'm happy with it and think it will suit my purposes nicely. I think I probably will change the ROM at some point, but I need to be a little more savvy before I launch off into that.
So I got mine in, and on first boot up, I liked the TnT UI, but the more I played with it the less I liked it. It’s a great design concept, but I feel it’s more of an alpha build of the UI then something that should be in production. Give it a few more rev and it may be good. Today I plan on putting on CM7 RC3 and see how it likes like. I have been using CM for a while now on my different phones so I expect it to work well on the gtablet.
As far as the viewing angle, in landscape it works well, but in portrait mode not so well on the dark spots. but not a deal breaker for me.
Kept getting errors with the stock ROM
I got 2 of these in on Monday from Woot. 1 for the fiancee and 1 for myself (it was her B-day present but I couldn't resist not getting one too). I had also researched and figured modding it would be immanent so I felt it was a good idea to have one to "test" things on and then her's to keep running as smoothly as possible (she doesn't have patients..)
So we charged them and booted them up and after about 30 minutes of constant errors I decided to install TNT lite on mine, and after a few minutes of playing with that, installed the same on hers. It runs a lot faster and doesn't give me the constant errors. (Weird that not everyone seems to get constant errors like we were getting with stock)... Since then we have installed the free ADW launcher and I'm loving it with the exception of the top bar (the one that has the clock, wifi status, battery, etc.....) seems to want to hide (even when I have it set not to). Its actually like I can slide the screen left and right (to change to different home screens, like is expected), and can scroll up and down (but just the amount that that top bar takes up (I think this is called the Status Bar?). Curious if anyone has seen this, so far searches are not finding anything.
Other than that, it running pretty good, speed wise it blows away my original Droid phone. I see that Robeet posted a new version of TNT lite that will take care of the sleep issue and will upgrade to that in a few days once more people have posted on it. I'm new at modding phones/tablets and prefer not to be a guinea pig
I got mine about a week before the wooters, I went with vegan 7. I love this thing, it is fast and does everything I want it to do. Flash plays without a hiccup, pages scroll smoothly. Market Place has nearly everything I need, and if you can't find it there, you can find it elsewhere. Only issues I have are the viewing angles (won't pretend its not an issue), capacitive buttons being unlit and accidently pushed, the sleep issue, and an issue where my internal storage doesn't sync back after disconnecting from a of sometimes. It's an awesome tablet though, glad I skipped the archos 101.
Got my Woot gTab last night.
Played with the stock ROM for all of 15 minutes. It kept dropping my wireless and various other oddities. I let it do it's update to stock and messed with it some more. I really wanted the market and all of my apps I had stored in AppBrain.
Loaded Clockworkmod and then went to VeganTab 7 with Clemsyn's 7 kernel. This thing flies and I am slowly getting it to where I want it with my widgets and apps.
I also use Kindle quite-a-bit and reading on this is great. The viewing angles have not been an issue for me AT ALL. If anything, I love the viewing angle and heres why. When in portrait mode and reading a book, no one can see or read over my shoulder! When in landscape mode and surfing the web, I never had an issue with viewing angle (sitting in bed with the gTab on my lap). Viewing angle is non-issue for me and in all honesty I prefer that someone next to me on a plane or otherwise cannot see the screen. Call me paranoid.
My only complaint so far is that it powers off after going to sleep. Not sure if there is a fix for that, I have yet to find a setting. Not a huge deal as it boots fast, but I would still like to hit the power button and come up to the unlock slider and then home screen.
I got mine yesterday. Unfortunately after charging for over an hour, I wasn't able to boot it up. It was stuck in a boot loop. I am guessing that whoever installed the kindle app/Flash/Angry Birds janked it up. With help from roebeet I was able to recover it and then flash it to 3558. After that I installed tnt lite 4.4 and it is running like a champ.
The viewing angle is a security/privacy feature.
Great impressions everyone.!
Got mine yesterday. After playing with the Stock ROM for a couple hours put on TNT Lite. Got the boot loop so went back to stock ROM and tried TNT again and worked with no issues.
Works great so far!
The viewing angles hasn't been that much of a problem so far. I do feel I need to get a screen protector though.
I played with stock for about an hour and then put TNT Lite on it and Clemsyns v7.
I don't mind the screen angles too much, its not as bad as some people make it seem.
I am finding it to be sluggish. Not so slow its unusable, but not what I would consider responsive or snappy as some people have described it.
For example, when I was entering my google account information, after entering my password it took pressing the 'next' button thrree times before it started loading the next screen. I'm not sure if its busy, or if it is not registering my touch.
I've noticed it also when launching items, for example pressing the browser button 2 or 3 times to get it started.
I initially thought it was just me, but then when I was watching some of the review youtube videos, I noticed that sometimes when launching an app or a game the reviewer had to touch the icon twice to get it started.
This isnt a troll, the pros of it outweight the negatives, its just something I'm going to have to get used to dealing with. Maybe I'll look for some kind of load or busy indicator so I'll just know to be patient and wait rather than keep pressing. The problem is im not sure if my touch was actually registered or if its just busy.
Did you run the calibration app: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=934500 ? Helped for my touch issues.
Got my Gtab yesterday. have problem to update the first time, keep fC. Turn off and reboot, then the update went fine. I find the stock is still very slow even with the update. Follow the instruction, installed CWM 0.8, then installed Calkulin V1.1, then updated the kernel, install hacked flash player 10.1. The market works but don't know if I get the real "gmarket", I saw word "sprint" gmarket screen. How do I just select "free" apps? I dont' seem to find the option. The gtab is very responsive and fast with this rom. However, the rom still has the "sleep to death" problem" like the others. Flash works. Viewing angle does kinda bad, however, someone on forum suggest that if you turn the gtab upside down, the view angle get approve, which I tried and I think it's much better. I wondering if I can take out the screen myself and installed the other way. I use rockplayer for video, it plays very good. Problem, when playing video, the screen will not rotate, so I can use the "better" side of the view angel, that also apply to play angry bird, rotating not work. Web and home screen are rotated as I turn the tablet. If the video and games rotate, then it's good for me. When you need privacy, you use hold the table regular way, to share, turn upside down. ooh, Hulu works. Anyone has the rotation on video and angry bird problem like me? Also, does anyone has any instruction on how to set up home screen with widget? I am so new to android, I kinda loss with play the widget last night.
Mine should come today or tomorrow and I'm planning on playing with the stock rom for couple days before I move on to something else. This will be my first tablet and I'm looking forward to the experience.
I initially had my eyes on the Xoom wifi but I couldn't pass on the WOOT deal and saved me some $$$
Got mine last night. Played with the stock ROM. The interface had it's pro's and cons. The biggest con was that I was getting quite a few force close dialogs for even the pre-installed apps.
Since then I have installed a custom ROM, TNT Lite 4.4.0, along with using LauncerPro. After doing this, I haven't had nearly the number of force close dialogs appearing. I am however still having issues finding apps that I want through Android Market, so I'll see if going to an older version of TNT Lite will help, else I will have to find the APK files and install them manually. However, even with how it is, it is still much better then the APP store that came with the stock ROM.
Keep em rolling!
Oh-some responses folks, keep them rolling. I'm still waiting for mine
to come in the mail. It should get here today or tomorrow .
I saw something about 'wiping data/cache' before modding on a bunch of the
threads. Is this necessary for brand new devices, once you get the OTA update?
Also, do you need CWM to do the data/cache wiping, or can this be done with
stock tools?
I updating my unmodified Tab 10.1 Wifi last night. The update is pretty amazing, if not a bit uglier. But suddenly I am having a ton of issues.
Worst of all is the lag. All the animations are suddenly very laggy and abrupt. Nothing is smooth anymore, when stock Honeycomb used to be very smooth. I talked to my friend, and he isn't having this issue after the official update.
Also, haptic feedback on the stock Android keyboard doesn't work anymore.
Then, Rock Player won't play MKVs with hardware decoding as it used to, and it's COMPLETELY messed up playing it with software decoding. A ton of distortion. Stock player won't play it either.
My dad took my tablet to play Angry Birds, and he says it kept crashing. I tried to play afterward, and it crashed. Just disappears without warning or any FC.
Also, I tried typing this on my tablet. It's now impossible to type (and this isn't limited to browser either) because the tablet is so laggy. Letters are missed, sometimes 3 at a time. I have to hold every button for it to register. Before I could type incredibly fast.
I removed all the widgets and turned off Samsung Apps running in the background, and it's slightly better but still very bad. Any tips guys? Because if not, I'm going to root it and flash a custom ROM. Hopefully the clean start and optimizations will fix it all.

Same thing with me, although I haven't gone through any heavy app use yet, my home screens lag a lot more than they ever did before TW. Google Music also forced closed on me a few times while syncing with the Google servers.
This is after installing a stock build of the OTA via Clockwork. I'm really not too sure what is going on, since mostly everyone else is reporting that everything is very very smooth on their end.
Thanks for the confirmation that at least someone else has my issues. I guess tonight is rooting/flashing night for me. I missed it, after trading my Captivate for a Veer for the next month or two. Though webOS is boss

I Wiped Data and reflashed the ROM, now Im just waiting for a 100 percent charge, and I'm going to try this again. I'll report back.
Here's a question, have you tried restarting the tab, and if you did, did it help any with the lag?
Do a factory restore then after you complete the initial setup, leave it for about 15mins. I did that after I updated since I also noticed some lag on the homescreens and app crashes. Now everything runs smooth as silk and noticeably faster than when it was stock.

Factory restore through settings? I'd need to root it for TiBu first anyway. Thanks, I'll try that before flashing.
Also my tab was completely unmodified. It was android 3.1 as it came out of the box, of which I did the touchwiz OTA update this morning.

OK so I rooted my Tab, flashed Clockwork, backed up all my stuff with TiBu, and factory reset. Most of the lag is gone! I can finally type things really fast without it all going to hell! This makes me happy. Baltic on stock Android keyboard is still gone, but this has been an issue with TouchWiz before on the Captivate. I remember with the Froyo leaks, how the stock keyboard had no haptic... it was fixed eventually. I'm not too worried. So my next step is to flash a new ROM, that one with the black bar. Just for the optimizations, and because I miss flashing since I have a webOS device now. Well thanks for the help with the suggestion for the factory reset, my tablet is usable again! Thanks guys!
Last comment. StarBurst is incredibly smooth I flashed it and can't be happier!
Yeah my problems are mostly gone too. I did a factory reset and then reflashed the rom, then I let it sit after boot-up for 20 minutes, rebooted, let it sit for another 5, and then rebooted again. A lot smoother this time around. Was probably just a bad flash.
Glad yours is working well too!
I installed the Smooth Bean JB 4.1 rom yesterday. It really is a awesome piece of work, but I have two issues.
1. Slowness. I changed the minimum speed to around 400 rom 200 but it still transition from screen to screen slowy at times.
2. Black screen. After getting everything just rightl I noticed the screen will go black occatiionally. I can press the power button to blank the screen, and come back and it's normal again.
I follows the Developers instrutions to NVflash first, clean all settings, factory reset and load. Everythings looks normal but for the top issues.
This is not every second issue. I can still use the G-Tablet and it does work perfectly but then it goes black or slows down.
Why not ask on the dev's thread for this ROM? Nobe is very helpful and supportive, and you'll get a faster response there.

I haven't replied to enough post to be able to post on the DEV thread. I get a error when I try telling me this.

Ok. I didn't realize the board prevents posting there based on post counts. So be it.

You can always wipe data/reset only, and reflash the ROM. It sounds like a hardware issue, but I assume you were not having these problems before. i cannot think of a fix for this, I have not seen anyone else have problems with a blackout screen.
The temporary slowdowns are due to 100% cpu usage, which happens to all of us. I would suggest holo launcher, or apex, because they use less RAM and less CPU, and they are better than stock, and FREE!!!!! There are many launchers better than stock and use less CPU.
Another thing you can do is get system tuner, and delete system apps you dont use, like calender, or smspush, stock Email. This can create issues though if you delete the wrong stuff.

Which update are you using? The most current one that you have to apply the update is going to run mainly off of the GPU instead of the CPU. I changed it that way so that the strain on the processor wouldn't be to over whelmed. Since currently we are still working with the 2.6.39 which has a lot off small issues when the CPU gets overloaded, for most SOD, that why I choose that config. There also might be some remidence of previous ROM builds within the nand or like everyone else blames on is Bad Blocks. I am currently working on a neat format tool that should help or devices handle those, but since we switch from 200m, to 250m, and also 300m systems it is going to take awhile to build it up. The best word of advise is to get a copy of the one time NVflash Format tool from here Click and run it a couple of times before NVflashing the 250m modded one.
I updated using Smooth Bean 1.3.2 with the re-mixed update file. Since I was having problems getting my tablet to power to 100%, and the black screens I performed the "format" that was listed above. Now my tablet won't boot at all. I think i'll let it power completely off, and if I can get it running i'll clear out all data and start from scratch.
Thanks everyone for your advice and hopefull I'll be up and running soon. From what I can see Smooth Bean 1.3.2 was the best rom yet.
Fixed

I reloaded the G Tablet from scratch and I even wiped the 16gig SD card. I have never installed a ROM that was this responsive. It is incredible, and i'm loving how fast it is. Normally I have to tweak the min CPU but with this I never had too. Thanks for your Smooth Bean, Effort, and I'll donate when I move to your thread.
I do have one issue that has not gone away though. When I'm in your Smooth Bean thread and click "thanks" my screen goes black. This also seemed to happed when i opened ES Taskmanager. To fix it, I press power to blank the screen, and then I come back in and the screen is good.
Any ideas?
