[Q] Few questions. - Atrix 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I am currently running GreyBlur and am planning to flash GingerBlur. Is it okay to flash GingerBur over Greyblur? Won't it slow down my phone or take up more space other than the space that GreyBlur takes? How do I reformat my phone to factory settings?

BIG problem with apps2sd! Plzz Help

I wanted to try apps2sd on VillainROM 10.3. But it didn't work the way it was explained with no swap and 512 ext2.
after that I saw that my internal memory fell to 75 mb.
So here is what i did:
1. I removed the partition and made my whole card fat32 again.
2. I wiped everything and reflashed VillainROM
After a full wipe and reflash, my internal memory is still very low. So i tried cronos droid, and the internal memory is still very low. So i put another sd card in my phone and reflash, but the problem it still there.
After that i tried reverting back to stock 1.5 and i had 150 mb free. So the problem didn't exist on stock.
I rooted my phone again, flashed villainrom. And the problem with very low internal memory is there again.
I have now flashed: VillainROM, Cronos Droid, Hero Droid and Chocolate Eclair. So i think that the problem exists on all custom ROMs with apps2sd enabled.
Is there a way to get rid of the problem?
Do i need to edit or delete som files that doesnt change between flashes and wipes?
I really need help. I hope that someone can help me

[Q] Application Storage Availability at 0.00 MB after Flashing... :-(

Alright...
So I tried to install voodoo on my phone which was running stock 2.1 Eclair, and somehow it amazingly ****ed everything up. I know it was likely more or less my error than not.
So I was researching how to correct my ****-up which seemed to be that my phone was soft bricked and stuck on the vibrant insignia on boot up. So I read further and decided best thing to do would be use odin to flash Eugenes 2.2 froyo
GREAT! Everything was working the 2.2 rom is on my phone, all lights are Green! BUT I tried to download something from Marketplace and now my phone is telling me there is no space left of Application Storage. So i thought that it might be weird and decided to go ahead and check it out in my SD Card and Phone Storage settings and sure enough, I have one Gig on my External SD available. 11 Gigs on my Internal SD available but NOTHING available in the way of Application storage space...which is a huge bummer...
Sadface - facepalm FAIL -
So then I read that sometimes when installing a lagfix they take up a significant amount of phone space to create databases. So I'm wondering if somewhere on my phone Voodoo is chillin' eating up all my application space...
Or what I should do now to correct the situation.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers!
you flashed eugenes froyo right? havw you tried odin back to stock?

Yes, actually what I did, was flashed over to stock, original pit and tar files, and then when the phone booted it gave me an error, but that was expected saying it couldnt mount my SD card. I entered odin again and re-flashed back to eugene's 2.2 froyo and the appropriate pit file and BOOM. With Repartition checked it flashed back to eugene 2.2 with the filesystem cleared from my horrid attempt at voodoo and everything is perfect now. : -) All my application storage space is back!
that's nice.

[Q] ROM Questions...Help Me Not Break My Phone

Whats up I have a Captivate 16gb w/ 4gb micro sd running Mosaic 8 The Collective...I just fixed the wifi on it and started getting ready for another flash...I'm basically a noob so I gots me some questions. First off....do I need to flash back to stock every time I go to flash a Custom Rom? I basically bricked another captivate I have because I flashed cognition and then flashed fasty rom...it keeps freezing at the att logo. Another question totally unrelated...I created a nandroid backup of my rom and a titanium backup of my apps...my question is...Do the backups need to be on my micro sd card OR can I flash with the backups on my 16gb internal sd? These are noob questions I realize...but I really want to get this right....if anyone can lay some knowledge on me i would appreciate it.
You need not always install the stock ROM before flashing any custom ROM... But since you are flashing a custom ROM i wood recommend you to take a nandroid back up... Secondly, about your other phone..it might be the flashed ROM..i mean to say try flashing some other ROM on your so called bricked phone..
As far as i know Titanium and nandroid back up files are generally stored on sd card...
Hope my info helps..

HTC Amaze Internal SD card question

Hey guys, kind of a noob when it comes to this stuff, so go easy
So, I've rooted my phone and am currently running the official ICS update -- I currently have 4EXT flashed as my recovery and I was just wondering if there was any way to increase the built in storage space on the phone. The stats tell me that there is about 2.34 total available space on the internal SD -- which seems kind of small -- and I was just wondering if there is any way to increase that amount. I figured I would come here and ask first (tried searching for an answer, but no luck) before I royally screw up my phone. Thanks for any help!
Go to settings/storage to see all space

I believe you are looking at the system partition. There is another 10 gb of internal storage.
Go settings/storage to see the breakdown.
Hope this helps!

[Q] Internal storage issue(?)

Hey,
I have flashed my international S3 with cm10 via Odin (I have done WIPE DATA via CWM before). When I go to settings --> storagespace, my total space is 11.35 gb. Space used is yet about only 200MB. My S3 says I have only 5.95 GB free! How is this possible?
Before I flashed my device, that ''5.95' GB'' can be true. I had pretty much apps on it. But now, I havent installed anything yet.
Anyone knows whats the issue or how to fix this?
Thanks in advance!
