[Q] superoneclick not able to sucessfully root Experia Mini - Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Mini

I recently rooted my Experia Mini 2.1 using SUPERONECLICK. It was able to install Superuser, i was under the impression that i got it rooted. When i installed Rootverifier it and allowed SU permission, it tells me that i do not have root permission. Busybox also prompts the same error. Can i reroot this phone? I need help! I am trying to accomplish this task as i want to maximize the use of my SDCARD which is 8 GB. The phone memory is juts to low. Thanks!

Just download adb mask controller. Go to your phone at settings->applications->development->check usb debugging.Connect it to pc and run adb mask controller.exe. Then "refresh connection" and then "check root and busybox".
Credits go to the dev of the program.
My regards,
Ribben

This is what i get

Use the program I've attached. It's super important to reboot your device for the root to successfully work!

Dude,
You rock! I'm been trying to root this **###** phone for over a week and between all the info here on XDA and this post string, I was finally able to do it!
Thanks to ribben - You were the final nail to unlock this rooted phone coffin. domi007 and CLShortFuse for all your great info. And finally rparafina for posting the exact same questions that I had.
You guys (maybe gals) saved me from having to spend ??$$?? just to get a phone with the ability to download and use more apps on my SD card.
Thanks again & peace from San Diego!!

Anyone can tell me how can fix it to root?!
Many Thanks
same issue here...
Try rageaginstthecage instead of psneuter
I have the same problem with the later version of superclick too...but got it to root with the older version...I believe is ver 1.5..
I can share my experience with you while my dell now is Death because I do something wrong, it wont boot up anymore.
With 31800 version,
1- Download SOC 1.6.5.
2- Stop YOUR ANTIVIRUS before extract the file of SOC (Your antivirus may delete 1 file necessary for root process).
3- Before you start check if a file name "rageaginstthecage" is in the folder, antivirus may delete it.
4- Start SOC and choose "rageaginstthecage" option.
5- If the file I mention in step 3 is exist and you choose the right option as in step 4, it will go smooth.

SuperOneClick v1.7 works on my dell streak official froyo build number 12903
1-unmount sd card
2-turn on usb debug mode
3-do shell root before actually rooting
4-use the "rageagainstthecage" exploit,not psnueter..

[Solved] How to check bootloader is unlocked?

I followed the instructions on the HTCDev website. My phone showed the process was sucessful. I am trying to root with OneClickRoot_1.1 and it is not rooting. I am wondering it I am actually unlocked at the bootloader level?
Solved
1st mistake was did not include this file AdbWinApi.dll durring the HTC Dev unlocking process. I went through the instuctions again and still no root.
2nd mistake was that I had HTC Sync running. After I corrected mistake 1 and corrected mistake 2 I have root. The problem I have now is that bootloader will not recognize a PH98IMG.zip file on the SD card when I tried to flash a recovery.
Any ideas on how to fix this? I am going to start another thread since this problem is burried in this post.

Do a battery pull and then hold volume- and power simultaneously until the phone powers on. This should bring you to the bootloader screen. Then just look and see if it says unlocked at the top of the screen.

There is an app that can check your root status but I doubt you are rooted. I went through the same thing and it took me a bit to figure out what was wrong. Check that USB debugging and install apps from unknown sources are on , that may help

Thanks for the suggestions.
Bootloader says unlocked.
Root Checker says not rooted.
use my root tutorial in my signature. It doesn't require finicky pc tools

driver probably will fix the problem,
but i also uninstalled and re-installed
android sdk tools and platform-tools in android sdk manager,
because at the time, i didn't know what was causing the problem

I have installed apks using adb and gotten that message and was wondering what it was. the apps installed fine but that was on my list of questions I wanted answered before I feel comfortable enough to root. Thanks!
Either avast or comodo sandboxed HTC sync so every time I rebooted my laptop it told me there was an update even though I installed it every time. I've since added it to the white list but I don't think I've had to use it since then. I think I'll do a fresh install regardless.

I was getting that adb server out of date thing, too. Mine was because I had another adb running on the computer.
Try exiting the anti-virus on your computer. Zergrush shows up as a malicious program since it wants to access root files. Even Microsoft Essentials stops it before it completes.

[Q] question how do I root when I have this problem

having a very interesting problem rooting my tablet. After the aio tool finishes rooting it comes up with this
failed to copy 'files\su' to '/system/bin/su' : read-only file system
and more
i try root check and it says no root even though the aio tool says it is
please help
Did u do the rescue backdoor
Are you in ICS of HC ?
Do you have USB Debugging enabled
Does it says something like this:
Code:
[SIZE="2"]flooding log.. run-as: package 'com.pwn.me'is unknown
Remount failed: operation not permitted
Failed to copy (all the root apps)
Cleaning up...
Failed on '/data/data/com.google.android.location/lib.bak' -No such file or directory[/SIZE]
This means the rooted apps are not installed on your tab
And that means that the tablet lost connection with the pc during the process,
You could try this: - Had the same sort problem fixed it with this -
1. Disable the "Sony Tablet S" in the Windows Device Manager (Or MTP Device)
2. With the AiO tool choose option 1 (Root)
3. Wait until you see the device disapear from the list
4. if it returns enable it again and wait for the process to complete.

Unable to root LG G2 mini running

For an LG G2 mini with Android 5.0.2. I've tried the following:
* towelroot v3: Error: "This phone isn't currently supported", I've tried the additional codes, such as found here: http://www.naldotech.com/how-to-fix-towelroot-phone-isnt-supported-problem/ (there is no difference using any of the codes)
* ioroot10: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2448887 This doesn't do anything. I have the carrier "OPEN", I push the g2_security to /sdcard/g2_security, unplug disable USB debugging, re-enable USB debugging and reconnect, I get a new adb shell, but I'm still just a regular user, nothing has happened. The next step cannot be performed.
* LG One Click Root 1.3 (Graphic UI): Installs successfully (see copy/paste below). But no su binary is installed, nor am I root if I connect by adb.
* LG One Click Root 1.2: Installs successfully (see copy/paste below). But no su binary is installed, nor am I root if I connect by adb.
I have retried all of these, rebooted the phone between attempts, etc.

This is the result of the "LG One Click Root":

What should I try next? Any ideas? I don't need a solution that works without a PC, I don't need a fully automated solution either. All I need is something that actually gives me a root adb shell, I can do the rest manually.
Does anyone know of a reliable exploit I can get as just an ELF executable and push to the device and then use that to root it? If not that, then I'm willing to try anything else too.
Try KingRoot, it should work. After you've rooted with it search on how to replace it with SuperSU.
Thanks, what is a safe place to obtain non-malware KingRoot?
