My htc gene is bricked.I have tried all the methods. I am unable to recover using Orefkov's method. When I try to press power key or soft reset button , onlr red and green light blinks. Nothing else happens. no charging indecator when i connect it to wall charger. I am even not getting the tri color screen.
please help me. to at least get into bootloader.

the tri-color screen will still work.plug in your device to the charger or connect it to the computer.Then try going to the bootloader screen.
I had this issue once when i bought my Gene.it worked.else,you'll have to proceed with the J-Tag method or a better n safe option would be to get ur gene repaired from the service center or a near by mobile shop.

For Jtag a at least bootloder should be there in mobile, but my mobile didnt come at bootloader mode also. When I try to press power key or soft reset button , onlr red and green light blinks. Nothing else happens, even pressing camera and power button.
Its dead. Take it to service center.
first charge ur battery using any other mobile...
and then press ur camera button+power button.. it ll go to boot loader (tricolor) screen..
if u bring it to service center they ll say that its dead..
actually they dont wanna repair 3400 sets..

if u have done with unlocking of the SPL then u cant install 24 march 2007.exe,coz it is original rom for htc......it will give u an error......! try to check your SPL address......if it 00H then its ok.....if its FFH then u need 2 try for J-TAG method....its very easy.....!

I can’t start xda that is a problem, is dead , battery it was around 75 % , I need help if know of to start aging after my mistake during upgrade I install old upgrade and it stop on 3 colors screen in I move a usb cable after that I can not start any more if you have any info which it can help I will appreciatively

You should find an extra usb cable and expose the black and red wires. Plug the oposite end into the usb port on your computer, then hold the red wire on the positive end of the battery and put the black wire on the negative end of the battery. Do this for about 30 seconds then put your battery back into your phone. This will restart your battery.

I don’t have problem with battery , battery is working OK , I test in other xda , I have problem with XDA , is dead during upgrade , I put wrong upgrade and it stop on 3 colours and I move I usb cable and after I can not start power on or rest . If anyone know how please reply

Hi
Have u tried to force bootloader mode (the tri coloured screen),it is done, by pressing down the camera and while keeping it pressed,than press the power on button with other hand. It will switch on the device in bootloader mode( into the tri color screen) from there than flash the original Rom of ur carrier,which came pre-installed on the device or any other Official Rom from the same carrier.U can download official rom from ur carriers site.
Hope this will help and revive ur device.

Have you tried entering bootloader when the device is plugged into the charger? I know you say the battery works, but that doesn't mean the device can use the battery. Does the device do anything when plugged in or powered on?

my buddy mistakenly flashed my HP 6828 using different Rom, probably using Atom Rom and as result my HP 6828 seems heading the the end of the world.
Please advice me what should i do to recover back my pity 6828 life ?

In my case. I do any way it can'y start my device. My HP service center tell me it must be change mainboard. But I don't change. But I try to open it again. I found this way.
I think you will try this way as me.
- remove battery in a few minite.
- put battery back again.
- plug a battery charge. (not a cable sync)
- If green and red is on. I think it ok. If it not on, you will try first choice.
- Press both softkey ,power switch, soft reset to start bootloader at the same time. Don't press power switch at first.
I think it can be open your device on to bootloader. Flash it again.

Any one help me my htc p3400i is not booting...only green and red key used to blink for a while and also when i am pressing the camera button then also the phone is not coming in tri color. Earlier it was coming but now its not coming only the keys used to blink,,so what to do now???

Pawan, dear, you got your phone working again or not?
Press camera power and soft reset will bring your phone to tri color screen. If your phone is back on its feet, please inform.

Seems that you have flashed a wrong rom.Now you should go for J-TAG restore.
Can you tell me the procedure for the same. i rem readin that i will have to solder some stuff.. please guide through..

Just use a valid ROM according to your handset.There are two versions of every ROM you'll find here(Old Gene and New GENE).Just select them carefully
gene is dead
one day i woke up to find my gene not getting switched on.
i had used it the night before and then put it for charging..
now only red light blinks in the led when i try to charge it nothing else.

connect ur phone to the charger.......
and try to on it...
if it dosent...
then enter download mode (home key+vol down+power key)
remember to connect phone to ur charger and then try..
hopefully should work.....

i'm sorry mate. if you can't enter download mode, then there's a chance that your ace is hard bricked. try bringing it to a service center or to where you bought it if it still has warranty. just say it suddenly didn't turn on after updating it or whatsoever. don't say you rooted it or flashed a custom rom.
and next time, post questions at the general section and not here in the dev section.

- remove the sim card and the battery.
- prepare odin for a flash
- connect the device to the computer (without the battery)
- now with one hand press volumen down + power + home button at the same time.
- while doing this, insert the battery and wait a while.
there is some chance that your device answer with something, if so, then press volumen + power + home button again to enter download mode.
Keep trying this, could eventually work (or not). In your case, don't lose anything so give it a TRY!

If your phone is able to enter download mode, it will .. Try this.
remove the back panel . Hold the phone in your right hand . move the battery only a slight outward with your right hand finger, the connection should remain intact.
Now press volume down and middle (square) button with your left hand. And the press the power button with thumb of your right hand..
Sounds strange but.
Sure shot if it is not hard bricked.
Then you will have to flash a rom using odin. You will find tutorial for this . Search the threads here...

i think u have hard bricked it.. i went through the same thing few days ago.. don try anything for now.. feel free to visit service center on the next working day. chill .. they will replace the motherboard without any questions or charges.it takes a week or so to replace it in India. jus dont mention anything about the CFW..

it sounds like you have bricked your phone, it happened to me few weeks back, i had to send back to the shop and get a new one. if your phone is still under waranty this my be the only quick option for you. hope that helps

Good luck for your phone buddy.. hopefully they might replace the phone for you..
and by the way phone mostly gets bricked which flashing the phone, in general cases it does not brick while usage.
However you know better.. how ever i believe voltage flux might have done that as cud be mobo damage on your phone.
