Is there a way to check if all the opengl 2.0 files ate installed correctly?
Reason being I recently sbf ed back to stock 4.1.26 from gingerblur and updated to stock 4.1.83 roted and sideloaded. When I check the system info under a couple of apps like quick system info pro and quadrant, it is only showing the opengl 1.1 files.
Maybe just a bit paranoid after the sbf. Just yell and tell me if I am or point me in the correct direction to check for the files.
Only reason I went back from gingerblur is the lack of some of the stock stuff like task manager and webstop functionality. Really messed up on the 3.1 version.
Thanks for the help guys.

Hi All!
I have a clean unrooted AT&T 1.8.3 Atrix 4G and want to ask a few questions before i am flashing, would be very grateful for the answers!
1) From non-visual standpoint, especially considering system performance and battery life, which one is better - Stock, GladiAtrix or GingerBlur? Is there any difference in battery life between those ROMs?
2) I see good features lists on GladiAtrix & GreyBlur's pages, this is from GladiAtrix:
Deodexed
Custom boot logo
AppWidgetPicker (better widget management)
Enables sideloading
Ad blocking
Installs AT&T tethering APN
Enables desktop flash content, i.e. Hulu (You MUST install flashplayer 10.2 from market prior to installing the ROM. You must also use a browser that lets you set your user agent to Desktop.)
Clears Dalvik-cache
Removes the AT&T bloat
Disables background media scanning (speeds phone up a LOT)
Webtop without need for dock (through micro-hdmi cable)
Preferred install location for apps
Disables SD card mount sound
Enables ADB to run as root (still need further testing on this, not sure exactly how this is supposed to function)
Enables Google location services (does not send private information or drain your battery, it just allows apps to use cell location as opposed to GPS if a location is needed)
Lowers delay when placing a call (1 second as opposed to 2.5 which was just obnoxiously long)
Increases wifi scan interval
Decreases screen activation delay from proximity sensor
Increase RAM available to dalvik VM
Adds lxterminal shortcut to webtop, allows webtop customization

But not on GingerBlur's page, does it means all this hacks is not included in GingerBlur? Or it's all there, but not listed on the first page (there is 500+ pages in the GingerBlur's thread, so reading it to the end it's a bit tedious task)
3) If i root, install CWM and backup my Stock 1.8.3 before flashing custom ROM, later i can restore from CWM without flashing SBF to get the next OTA update when available (hopefully 2.3 soon), that's correct?
4) How do i upgrade to the next version of GladiAtrix or GingerBlur when available? There is some simpler procedure to install new version over the older one (for example GingerBlur 3.5 over GingerBlur 3.1), or i should restore my stock ROM from CWM (or flash SBF) and then install the new version?
I have tried them all, and am at the moment finding GladiAtrix 3 to be the best for me, although battery life is a wee bit less than GingerBlur was. I am on 4.1.83 with GladiAtrix, using Cool Blue 2.1 for a theme, ADW EX Launcher with custom font pack.
<edit> The developers like Kenneth Penn (GingerBlur, GreyBlur) usually release flashable update files aswell as the full flashable ROM when they roll the revisions on them, so you just flash the smaller update file, and keep all your settings.
<edit 2> Full GingerBlur details are found here GingerBlur website. This is linked on the first page of the GingerBlur thread.
Thanks CaelanT! Any more opinions on battery life? How GingerBlur & GladiAtrix compares to Stock 1.8.3, it's better or worse?

In my humble opinion, both are better than stock on battery life, but GingerBlur is definitely the best of the three. (Stock, GingerBlur, and GladiAtrix).

This is spot on... there are countless post on here from people flashing themes and mods only to find out they don't like it and bug the dev/modders on how to uninstall what they just did to go back to stock.
#1 rule with any modding/theme changes, ALWAYS do a backup of your current/stock setup before applying a theme or mod...
Hey. For those who have gotten swype to work I request your help.
I am on the MIUI 1.6.24.1 from andmer and using nemesis kernel OTB 2.6.35 0701. ED04 modem although I don't think modem matters.
I have searched through here and seen some of the same troubleshooting I have done. I formatted my SD card when coming onto this build so nothing on it. I downloaded the swype beat installer fresh and then installed the full version and all it tells me is that its not licensed still. I have then tried to follow the licensing steps and of course get stuck on the uncheck swype as there is none. I have also tried deleting the swype, and installer. and have searched as best i can and found no other swype files. Also in root explorer did a search for swype and came up blank.
Anyone else have any further ideas? I am one who cant stand the android keyboard lol.
I appreciate any ideas and thanks in advanced
Hi everyone, I flashed my viewsonic gtab with tnt lite 4.4, and everything seems to be working fine, except that the android market thinks i'm using Malata GTablet-TnT-Lite...is there any way to fix this?
Thanks

Actually, it is seeing it correctly, just not the way you want it to be seen. Your gTablet OEM is actually Malata. With the new version of Market, Google has attempted to tighten non-authorized device access. It gets device info from the build.prop file (/system/build.prop). If you are not having problems with limited app selection or downloading, you can leave as is.
If you are having limited app access/download problems then do a search for "market fix". You will probalby find various edits for the build.prop file to trick market into giving you increased access. When I was on stock 4349 (way back when), I edited mine by adding the following line "ro.build.fingerprint=google/passion/passion/mahimahi:2.2/FRF91/43546:user/release-keys". I also remember seeing one that recommended changing "ro.product.device=" to "olympus'. To edit build.prop you will need to use rootexplorer or a similar app. As always it would be best to do a backup with CWM before editing system files.

I have Vegan-tab gingerbread 7.0RC1 pershoot bl1.2.
Flash no longer shows up on my installed apps. When i search for it, It says it is not compatible for my device, google maps does the same thing too. Does anyone else have this problem too. I just noticed it last week.

Yeah, that was the only problem I had with that ROM. It seemed to always happen for me when the tablet would hard freeze and I had to reboot. Once it boots back up, anytime I access the Market, everything was not compatible with GTab.
I never found a solution other than returning to HC. It was a good ROM and that was the only prob I had with it.
Does [BL1.2]VEGAn-TAB GingerEdition v7.1.0 solve this issue?
Yes, it is much better running Vending 3.1.3.
If you have superuser rights, use AntTek App Manager to backup flash, than delete it from system (even sys application version), the Hulufied version from ASOP Ginger posts. You might need to install, update from market, remove, and install Hulufied version to stick.
Just download it on the PC..then hook up your GTab to the PC...drag the Flash 10.3 (Yes that one will work) into the storage on the device. Then download it from there.
All the apps (And there was ALOT) that shows up Non Compatible with your device in the Market...will actually work if you do it that way.
Thank you for all the responses. I went for the upgrade option to Vegantab 7.1. I am very pleased.
While working on CSROM and the stock fruitcake I had pulled all system and framework files. Since these are occasionally needed, I thought I'd share.
These are for AT&T GB 2.3.6 (4.5.141).
I also pulled out FlashPlayer and attached it to the post since that is no longer available from the Play Store.
