Odin this: http://www.multiupload.com/6ET46L1ATD this will give 2.2 ED01 and it is rooted. The only thing not included in this is the modem. You will retain whatever modem you are currently on. Once you odin this you can download Titanium Backup or any app of the like and debloat it yourself.
You always help out
thnx a mill man!!!
Will it erase CWM?
and can i use custom voodoo kernels with this?

Flash this via cwm: http://www.multiupload.com/8EQOTCNG1B
But before you reboot flash this kernel: http://www.mediafire.com/?9hhpxh30a0fvh7x
This is community rom and OTB voodoo kernel
Wipe everything first!!!
It has the full functionality of stock TW but without the stock crapware/bloatware
t's been awhile since my last upgrade, my X10a is still on 2.1-update1 firmware, baseband 2.1.54, kernel version 2.6.29 with build number 2.1.A.0.435
How to flash to latest 2.3 ?
You can upgrade to gingerbread with with pc companion..
but stock 2.3 from SE is very laggy & slow so install a custom gingerbread rom like Wolfs TW Gingerbread v7
Wolfs TW Gingerbread v7 is a very god rom. it has no bugs, no fcs its very smooth
I do want a custom rom, but can I just flash thru recovery? Given that I'm already rooted.
Yes, flash thru xRecovery
Sent from my X10i using xda premium

No, you need the baseband 71 as well and that needs flashtool....
Read the OP to any custom rom you want to flash.
Or, use pccompanion to upgrade to stock 2.3 then whilst you are there you can use flashtool to
a) root
b) ask root permissions
c) Install xrecovery (0.3 GB ready)
d) Unlock bootloader (Optional step)
then flash the rom of your choice...

I didn't have any lag on the stock 2.3.3 when I used it for a few weeks, about half unrooted, then rooted, and no lag either way. If you have 2.3.3 and lag check your running programs. Our phones are computers now so just like with a pc if you have too much in the background everything gets slow. When I was on stock 2.3.3 my phone was new so I was installing ALL sorts of things finding out what I liked but I always checked settings and permissions of things I was trying out. Bottom line you shouldn't have lag on 2.3.3.
Hey everyone
A little while ago I jumped on the ICS bandwagon and flashed my villainrom 2.5-toting Optus i9100 to WanamLite 8.9, via CWM Recovery.
its been buggy as hell and the phone has turned to garbage ever since, with random freezing, touch input not responding, et cetera.
my question is - should i have flashed to one of the leaked samsung ICS ROMs via ODIN before updating to wanamlite via CWM Recovery?
i remember back in the SGS days, when moving from 2.1/2.2 to 2.3, you had to flash a generic 2.3 ROM via ODIN before you could flash a custom one. flashing a gingerbread darky's ROM over a froyo custom ROM directly using CWM caused all kinds of problems.
now that the official Samsung XXLPQ ICS is out, i want to flash to a pre-rooted version of it with CF-Root kernel (the ones that wanam himself has uploaded). but should i flash via ODIN to an official ICS first, and then root + flash the wanam custom version, just like i had to do when going from 2.2 to 2.3 on my original SGS?

I flashed stock jpq then moved on. My phone is fine
Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk
If i helped please consider clicking yes, thats what my dog always wanted ! Sent from under my bed
Sorry for the previous post i clicked it while it ways empty by wrong
Just get ur phone into download mode and flash the stock jpq
After that do wipe cache and factory and ull be good to go
isn't the problem with doing that the fact that the bootloader will be upgraded as well, meaning i can't reset the flash counter with my USB jig anymore?

Not really needed .
But this is what i always do with any major upgrade or new custom rom .
titanium backup and nandroid backup
Wipe.format system data cache .
Install stock rom of same version
Root with CWM and Root kernel.
Flash new rom .
result no problems .
jje
Restore backed up apps .
I'd like to get ICS with working cameras on my Tab. I'm currently rooted running Task14 and looked at Task's latest stock ICS ROM with working cameras. But the rolling screen problems some are having scares me a little.
So my question is this: If I go back to complete stock (which would be HC) then get the OTA update, will I be able to root it using the same procedures outlined here at XDA? Just wondering if using the root method posted on XDA works while running the stock ICS ROM.
If this would work, do I get back to stock unrooted by just doing a factory reset, or do I have to use a specified unroot method?
Samfirmware.com has the stock rom for you download it from there and Flash via odin and you will have stock rom and no root........if u press reset it won't go to stock it will be on same rom ........hit thanx if I have helped
I flashed a few lollipop Roms and really like the new messaging app. But I decided to go back to a stock based ROM.
Any way to get that apk and use it on my stock based ROM? I'm running eclipse. I tried to extract it from the zip but didn't have any luck.

Did you try the one available in the play store? Search 'lollipop messaging' and it should come up. Either that or reflash an lp ROM, make a tibu(or similar) backup of the messaging app & try and install it on your stock ROM that way.
