I've done some searching and some experimenting with no avail.
Just wondering if it's possible to get the default thunderbolt bootanimation with sound in CM7? I can get the animation to play, but no sound.
Any ideas?
If u post the one you are trying to use I'd be happy to look at your boot animation.zip I have made several boot animations with sound no problem.
Here you go.
Where do I place these files? (audio zip, etc.)

It doesn't work yet and I'm seeing if anyone knows how I can get this to work for CM7.

I have been searching for two days for this, both here and elsewhere, so forgive me if it's been right under my nose and I failed to find it.
I am trying to find the stock Android boot animation that began with, I believe, Cupcake. That is, the Android logo in a sort of blue-hued metallic texture. I want this for my Droid. If anyone knows where I can find this, given Droidboots is ****ed, I'd be very thankful.
completely removing the "bootanimation.zip" will default you to the "stock" android boot animation
What are the chances that I would be looking for the exact same boot animation? I haven't had any luck either.

+1. Go into /system/media, at least that is where it is on the heroc, with a file manager, root explorer is a fine choice, and delete the file named bootanimation.zip. reboot and enjoy the classic goodness.

Yup this works.
Even works on Sense ROMs.
It must be built in default when no customized carrier one exists.
Where do I get a copy of the default / classic "Android" boot animation?
Can someone post it on here?

What about the default.xml that is already in the system/customize/CID folder? Is it safe to just replace it or ...?

if you installed the default.xml that changes where the down animations go so the old one has to be renamed to downanimation and moved to data/local
Okay, I did that I renamed the file to downanimation.zip and the audio file to android_out.mp3 and put it in data/local but now the downanimation is just the stock powering down screen. The bootanimation and boot audio works just nothing for the downanimation and down audio , what am I missing?
This animation is sweeeet!

recheck your steps. there shouldnt be a reason its not working. you might of misspelled or grabbed the wrong down animation. there are 2 in the system folder
EDIT: It might make it easier to find the down animation and sound that you want and copy it from the sdcard so you know its definitely the right down animation.
no still nothing , I even can even change the bootanimation and sound but my downanimation and sound I get absolutely nothing
Can anyone post the stock ICS boot animation and possibly the camera APK?
Greatly appreciated if you can help, or if i missed it in search can you link me to them.

You may need to edit the default.xml file depending on your rom, if you're stock, then you won't need to.
Do you know where i need to place the audio file ? Im trying toget the stock boot animation on energy rom.

/system/customize/resources or you can check the system/customize/CID/default.xml file for the location your rom provider chose, check my tutorial in the amaze bible thread on how to change your bootanimation to get it working.
changed the boot anomation to the stock amaze , but there is no sound. Icant see where to put the sound file.

I remember there was sth. like bootaudio file in /system/media/ i think. MIUI ROM's had it and i think it should also work (for boot only)
Can you upload it?... And is there a way to flash the reverse animation i unlocking the phone?

I can't upload it because I don't have it. I think it was a *.wav file and it was in the same directory as bootanimation. I never used fera, but maybe You've set fast animation in spareparts. Else I don't know how put this tv effect

Bumping in less that 3 hrs ? Very bad. Do not do that again. This is hardly critical to the operation of your phone. When you make a thread, you wait patiently for a response.
Edit - Given you've been here 6 yrs, you should know a lot better. Bit hard to expect n00bs to do the right thing when people who have been here ages don't.
Convert your .mp3 to .ogg, rename to PowerOn.ogg and move to system/media/audio/ui/.

But with me dont work. I'm using CyanogenMod 10.1.
I'm using Beanstalk ROM on my phone and I cannot set the bootsound to work. I changed the boot animation and followed the instructions with patching bootsound.sh script via Terminal Emulator, but it didn't work as well. I originally didn't have PowerOn.ogg or PowerOff.ogg sounds, also the original animation in this ROM was silent... I thought the script method will work for me, as it's CM-based ROM. Has enyone solved this issue? Sadly I cannot write the question in Beanstalk thread yet.
