Has anyone tried this for their G Tablet? There are two reviewers that said they bought it for their Gtab. One says its tight but works, and the other says it doesn't fit but the review isn't too credible.
I'm looking for a folio case (or whatever case that can act as a stand) that I can buy from Amazon since I am a prime member and need the case quickly. This case looks perfect if it does fit.
Don't own one, but looking at the pictures, I don't see how the Viewsonic would fit without extending past the actual 'book/cover' itself. The Gtablet is an inch wider and inch shorter than the Ipad.
I'm actually not that concerned if it hangs out a bit as long as its held in there still (which is looks like it could if material stretches enough). I think I'll stop by a best buy today with my G tab and try to fit it into some ipad cases to get a general idea.

Hey, I was wondering if anyone has bought the G-Form case and have seen if it fits or not for the transformer prime? I would love to get some feedback on anyone who has!!
I would love it to fit this
http://g-form.com/product/extreme-portfolio/
If that doesn't fit, then I assume this would work, right?
http://g-form.com/product/extreme-sleeve-for-laptops/
thanks so much for your guys help!!
I had ordered the iPad 2 extreme sleeve from G-Form before I go the tablet in. Well got my Prime and dock in, and they both fit. Yes, the iPad 2 case is a tight fit, but since the zippers are also lined on the interior, there is no scratching; like I said it just barley fits, but it still does zip close for a nice snug fit.

I went ahead a ordered a 11" laptop sleeve from them today as well, as I have also ordered a fitted leather folding case off of Amazon, and the increased dimensions are going to make it to big for the iPad 2 extreme G-form sleeve.
I watched the video on youtube about the extreme portfolio, in which they are using a Samsung 10.1 galaxy tab, instead of a ipad, and it worked just as well. They said the extreme portfolio should work on any 10" tablet... the only reason I didn't go with that, when I placed my second order today, was b/c you have to bend the edges down to attach plugs, usb, etc.
Here's the youtube video:
All in all these are great products that will protect the hell out of your expensive new toy.

This was a great reply. THANKS!! I would love to get the Extreme Edge case for the prime, but I can't imagine what would happen if I dropped this thing on a rocky floor on the front portion of the tablet :O Can you update me how the tablet fits in the laptop case? I'd feel better having more room on the case. Is the portfolio case that you were talking about that case that can also be zipped up so the front can also be covered? that would be amazing for me!
Purchased the SiKai MicroFiber case for the Lenovo IdeaPad K1 Tablet. Delivery was within the UK and didn't take too long, about 5 days including the weekend.
I paid £15.19 delivered from Ebay UK Item number: 200647561882
The case is made from a strange type of plastic material, it's quite soft and flexible. Am kind of glad rather than faux leather. It is very thin and light, but seems sturdy enough to protect the tablet around the house. I have a 10" netbook bag that I keep it in when travelling to add extra protection.
I like it since it makes it easy to carry around with you and doesn't add bulk to it. I would say the case is lighter than my official HP Touchpad case and similar in strength, although a different material. I can only compare it to the ROOCASE Multi-Angle Leather Case and can say it is much thinner and lighter than that.
There is only one angle that the case allows for, but since it is an Android tablet you can flip the whole thing round and get a lower angle. Its fine for watching at night when streaming video so its not an issue for me.
Price wise the only options available to me at the time were the faux leather ones for about £9.99 or the official case from the Lenovo website coming in at a hefty £34.99 once you add the crazy £10 delivery charge! Not many options in the UK unfortunately but am glad I did some research and found this case.
Other things that you might notice in the photos (sorry poor camera phone ones) there is a place to put a pen, all cut outs seem correct and I love the fact that I can charge it without having the case open, also the hdmi port is free.
Not sure how long it will last but considering the few days usage of it, the minor things like the tablet can slide a tiny bit inside the case so would have preferred a tighter fit (although will try and adjust the velcro again that closes once you slip the tablet inside), the cut out by the front facing button could be a bit lower, and the magnetic clasps to be quite weak I will give this case an 8/10 and can recommend it.

great case! I bought this sikai case too and actually prefer it more than the original lenovo K1 case.
This covers all ports, and also has a great microfiber texture that is slightly grippy, while remaining smooth to the touch. does not attract dust at all and keeps the K1 snug (if it feels loose, readjust the velcro tighter).
recommended!
Yeh have tightened it a bit more, doesn't move as much.... Glad I chose this over the cheaper cases and the official one which was more than double the cost here in the UK.
Can't believe how dead this forum is for this tablet, going to see if there are anymore forums with more support....
Just got this tab last week and love it so far. Looking for a good case but hate the leather, faux leather look.
Please let me know if you find more forums as I have looked and am surprised how little I've found....
I know of one other decent one, google "lenovo community K1"

Cool will do.
This case is pretty good if you want something thin and light, there are stronger/more protective cases out there but they add bulk and I don't want that since I use this round the house...... Still glad I bought this case and find it better in that respect to the Roocase.....
Thanks, will google what you said.....
Got the SiKai for my TPT. Everyting else looks bulky in comparison. It is extremely thin (I''ve tried a lot of gadget cases over the years), and although it's screamingly vinyl, it doesn't look really cheap since it fits so well. Leather like this might come off as over-the-top (not that I wouldn't probably sucker into that if I could find it). It's got the seam around the edge where it cushions a drop, and the magnetic closure on the flap is a great touch, not too powerful, but it stays closed well enough.
My gripes are with the screen cover flap: it leaves two stripes on my matte screen protector where the fold places rub off the grease I thought I cleaned off last night, it doesn't hold the tablet vertical enough to really use, and it's busy looking on the front. If I had a choice in the design, I would leave off the "stand" capabilities and leave it flat. If it's open, it's really floppy; it would be easier to manage if it were entirely rigid. I might add a hide-able tether & a knob/button so you could stand it up on its other edge more vertically instead.
All in all, for the price I paid (US$26-ish), I'm very happy with it. If Piel Frama comes up with something, though, I might check that out, if only to drool. I still love my old Wizard case, and my Advantage case from them, too. Very lovely, solid product, and they've been keeping customers happy for a long time.
Addendum: After a couple of months with it, mine is holding together just fine. I had to trim a bit of vinyl fringe, butvall vinyl does that ( it frays a bit after it's freshly cut, but after you trim it once, unless it's cut really crooked, you're done). I have noticed that after a bit of stretching from the daily+ in & out I do to use the dock, it's loose enough to partially obscure the rear camera, not to mention trying to take pics with the flap cover is a huge PITA. If I used this camera a lot, I'd be totally fed up with this case. I may also be melting a bigger hole for the speaker (whch is hard-core disappointing to begin with). All in all, though, that's it for my complaints, which is pretty rare for me.I plan on cloud storage sync and a great cam on my next phone to use the tab for pviewing,
To be fair the official HP Touchpad case does the same thing to my Touchpad so it's one of those things.
I use the same case for my Thinkpad Tablet, and it's the best I've encountered so far, albeit with some flaws of it's own: Some of the stitching on the inside of the cover is already beginning to fall apart after ~1 Month of usage :-/
Stitching has been fine on mine, maybe tell the reseller to exchange it?
Wow cool.... but its little bit expensive
Found a good one here, hopefully will generate enough interest to make it happen.

I'm so surprised no one is making these. It was a must have for my TF101. Now that I have the TF201, It feels naked and vulnerable.
I hope this gets made by someone soon. Like I said, it feels naked without the rubber skin protection.

Expect it for the new Transformer Pads, not going to see many more accessories for the old discontinued Prime.

Stop spreading misinformation, the Prime is not discontinued.
The new Transformer tablets consist of a budget model designed to replace the original Transformer (and with reduced specs & features to match) and a more expensive "premium" tablet with a higher res display and a price to match. The Prime will continue to be the "mainstream" model for at least the next year.
The main reason there are so few accessories for the Prime, is that people don't know if it will sell well so they don't bother pre-making accessories like they do for the iPad. If you follow the release of the Xoom of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 you will see that in the first few months 3rd party accessories for those specific tablets were also very sparse.

The Transleeve was garbage. It has an 80% failure rate, as in: it fell apart in people's hands during normal usage. Also it has the unfortunately tendency to physically damage every Tablet it was used with.
Hopefully Asus will release an updated version that fixes these problems.
However that doesn't mean that the Transformer Prime tablet has been discontinued. There is no evidence and until you provide me a link to Asus explicitly stating that the tablet is disco'ed stop spreading misinformation.
Incidentally, the TP300 and TP700 both use identical mounting ports to the TF Prime, so any future versions of screen protectors like the Transleeve should be backwards compatible with the Prime since all tablets have the same size screen. Perhaps they discontinued the Transleeve because they have a better accessory set to be released with these new additions to the Transformer Pad line.
This is what I want.
A little thinner mind you, but a silicone case is my desire.
Sighz, I used to have a very nice case for my samsung galaxy s2. Silicone inside, hard case outside. It was totally AWESOME! See this ->
ebay.com.sg/itm/Black-Orange-Silicone-Combo-Case-Cover-Samsung-Galaxy-S2-I9100-/190612983403?pt=UK_MobilePhones_MobilePhonesCasesPouches&hash=item2c616b4e6b
It looks cool and doesn't scratch your phone at all!
Some are hard cover inside, and silicone outside - i had them for my iphone but it scratched my iphone! See this -> ebay.com.sg/itm/Hard-Case-w-Soft-Skin-Rubber-Silicone-Cover-iPhone-3G-3GS-Black-Orange-/140680538736?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item20c136aa70
Thus I'm hesitant about getting a gumdrop case for my prime, because the hardcase is on the inside while the silicone is outside.
CAN SOMEONE MAKE THE FIRST ONE FOR THE TRANSFORMER PRIME??!! DON'T MIND PAYING MORE FOR IT! HAHAHA
I too want a TPU case for my Prime and am disappointed one has not been released yet. I have seen the androidtablet thread gauging interest in a silicone case, and I might buy one of these for use in rugged conditions, but it appears they would be thick and I want a thin one for daily use and much prefer tpu to thick rubbery silicone.
I currently have the next best thing to a tpu case and that is the roocase dual view leather case. It is two pieces - one is a sleeve that protects the back, sides, and bezel like a silicone or tpu case would. The other part is a folding case that attaches to the sleeve with velcro and will allow it to stand in portrait or landscape and at various angles. I don't use that part much, though, since I prefer cheap, sturdy universal tablet stands (about $6 on ebay) and have them at work and home, so don't need to carry the external part of the roocase.
With the roocase sleeve and a screen protector, the thing is well protected and I can throw it in my (large) lunchbox or a pocket (in a scottevest vest or jacket - yes I am a _real_ nerd and own these) and not worry about dropping or scratching it. The leather of the roocase sleeve is thicker than a tpu or thin silicone case would be, although it looks like it is smaller than a thick silicone case such as the guy on androidtablets is proposing.
It is a pita that the leather of the roocase sleeve protrudes more than it needs to and makes the power button hard to reach. Plus it makes the Prime almost an inch larger in both height and width and almost doubles the thickness. So, yes, I really want a tpu case like everyone else but the roocase sleeve is the only substitute there is for now.
Gumdrop case
You guys should google gumdrop case tf201, they are starting production and will start shipping April 16.
The Gumdrop is cool but way to much case for me
browsed the net cant find anything. Is it to soon??
Iam looking for a full body skin made of silicon.
Armor suit has two right now
http://www.armorsuit.com/tablets-sc.../asus-tablets/asus-transformer-pad-tf300.html
I am also looking for a good armored back shell if that is what you mean?
I have one on my Galaxy Tab 7, it is a hard shell covered with silicon (like this one, mine was much cheaper if i recall right ). It fits tightly around the edges, can handle some drops, makes the tablet not much bigger in size and the tablet does not slip out of your hands easy and the screen never touches the surface if you lay it on a flat surface with screen down.
The nearest thing i can find at the moment is the one from Gumdrop. But I think it will make the tablet too bulky and the shipping costs to Europe are almost as expensive as the case itself.
The TF300 is fairly new, so it will take some time before factories start producing skins for our beloved tab.
I check eBay and Alibaba on a regularly basis and the only cases that i can find right now are leather ones.
I think in a month or two China will be flooding the world with affordable, good, sturdy, sleek and practical cases.
If i find one sooner then you i'll let this thread know.
Edit:
Ah now i read you want FULL body armor of silicon. Then I ony know of Gumdrop and Otterbox. The latter does not have a case for the TF300 yet.
Case of TF300
When can we take a group to buy the TF300 case ?
wont amor suit+ full body cover plus a folio case be enough for protection?
I recently got my TF300T and I'm looking for a hardshell case, as most of the ones I've come across are sleeves, huge rubber cases. I have found some "full" cases but they are made of leather. Any recommended cases? I will more than likely always have the dock on but it should have an easy release method if I need just the tablet.
Have you looked on Ebay or Amazon?
I'm gonna start looking for an actual hard case to carry mine in. I've been sliding it the laptop compartment of my backpack but I'm worried the screen is gonna get cracked. Matter of fact, I'm gonna go look at Ebay and Amazon right now.
If I see anything like what you're looking for I'll post you a link.
maybe something like this?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/rooCASE-Sli...es_Covers_Keyboard_Folios&hash=item2ebec51eaf
Greetings!
Something like a less heavy duty version of this: http://www.amazon.com/Heavy-Transformer-TF201T-Pad300-TF300T/dp/B008B11FB8/ref=sr_1_16?ie=UTF8&qid=1388019602&sr=8-16&keywords=tf300t+case?
I have the slim fit folio case and it's not that great
I have a leather case for both the tablet and the dock. It makes it like a little netbook when both are attached. Works quite well for me but then I am the only one to use the tablet and don't let it near any kids. I got it from Amazon. As I am on less than 10 posts I cannot but a link in here
