Greetings:
There's this wonderfull topic here, with lots of flashable font packs.
However those CWM packages fail to install on the Atrix.
So I decided to make my own CWM packs, compatible with our phone.
Success!.
I will upload a few of them, with some of the fonts of the fachadick topic. Credits for him for taking the time to create both the font packs and his perfectly organized topic.
EDIT 12/07/11:
My old files doesn't work anymore with latest Tenfar's CWM recovery.
So I had to edit the packs to make them compatible with the new recovery.
I'll keep the old files, just in case. They are labeled as "Old Recovery".

Thanks again and credits to fachadick. I borrowed some links from his topic and I ported his CWM packages to the Atrix.
Nice! I will give one I try when I get a min!
what did you do to make them compatible? just in case I want to try any of the other fonts he has. good work!
I just flashed Argos and it looks great.
Swyped on my rooted and frozen Motorola Olympus.

I just replaced the whole META-INF folder. The one from fachadick packages doesn't work with Tenfar's CWM. So you can flash any font just by replacing the ones inside one of my packages by the ones you like. Remember to properly rename them (in case you download a single font from the web), or it will not work. But if you use one of fachadick ones, all you need to do is drag and drop fonts from one zip to the other.

You can use any font as long as you rename the .tff to match the ones in the package. If you unzip the package and go to the fonts you will see the .tff and can replace them. I just created my own with a font I found online.

CWM Font Packs have a system/fonts folder.
You can grab any theme you like (one designed for your build). It will have a system folder.
Place the fonts folder inside the system folder of the theme, then flash it and you're done.
OP, can you post which firmwares, etc. this works with please.
They do not work on 2.3.4 with unlocked bootloader.

1st of all, thanks cryshop! Nice work, I'm glad you found the time!
2nd, the problem with the zip is, that the whole resources.apk might be different...for example I extracted those files and put them in my .apk...
3rd, does the ROM really need to be de-odexed? What if I put the different png's to my resources.apk ? - edit, You don't have to be deodexed, it works just fine on B 0.1 Rom, which is not.
EDIT2: When I touch the display(screen locked text appears) part of the image sems to lose it's transpatency settings - there is a vivid ende below the text - is this normal?
Thanks!

The black half-transparent rectangle at the bottom causes that. It seems to be something in the xml files which I'm not able to edit. I can retouch graphic files only, sorry for that
nice work! I just made a bit more space between the 2 arrows.
Cause it was overlayed by the text saying: "screen locked" (since in dutch its scherm geblokkeerd) and that's much longer
png is attached for dutch people or people that want more space between the arrows (hope you don't mind cryshop otherwise just tell me and I'll remove it asap)

Hi Cryshop,
Just a question here, but could you make a lockscreen that would correspond with your navbar? It would actually need editing of one png The shape is OK, but the style would look nicer
I tried 3ds max to make one, but I need some study in that

Also can be installed by unzipping and using adb to push to /system/media. Needed to use this method because I have NF dual booting on partitions 9 and 10. Looks real good though, thanks.
Looks Tight! Thank You!
Pretty slick, I must admit. Installed just fine. Thanks for the development.
I installed this and for some reason it didn't work. It installed just fine and when I reboot the old boot up screen still comes up. Weird this did not take. Anyone got any solutions. I could do an adb push but I am not sure that will fix it. This is a really cool boot up screen just wish mine would work.
This is great. Would you mind if I include this in the next image that I roll out? I just pulled the bootanimation.zip out of the zip and used adb.
adb shell mount -o rw,remount /system
adb push bootanimation.zip /system/media
you can also put bootanimation.zip in /data/local

I am using cwm version 3.0.0.5.
I am using rom 0.67 flashable to internel memory. That maybe my problem right there. If this is for the SD card version than that is why the boot animation isn't working

I'm also using nookie-froyo-flashable-0.6.7.zip from the eMMC, And I also have the ClockworkMod 3.0.0.5 that is stored internally on the nook.
Let be be sure and say again, this is built for people booting froyo from the eMMC. And also using ClockworkMod that isn't stored on an SDcard.
Tell me more so we can figure out the differences in our nooks so I can fix the problem.
I got it to work. I just dropped it into the folder using root explorer.

Dude, thanks a million for this.
I really like a complete theme, any chance you could make these into a LWP or even just some static wallpapers. That would rock.
So, I checked the Live Blog of today's event, and I loved the new fonts Google has designed for ICS, called Roboto. I just had to get it.
I grabbed the system dump, and here's a flashable Zip for the fonts. Tested on CM7, should work on all ROMs. (Sense not tested). Nandroid backup before flashing, just in case. (Update - Attached the Flashable Stock Font Pack as well. In case something goes wrong, or, you simply need the old fonts back)
Also managed to find the wallpapers and ringtones attaching them. (Not resized, but I believe you are upto it). Wallpapers is not a Flashable Zip. Just a simple zip with the images.
Fonts (Related Attachments - FontPack-Roboto_E2.zip, FontPack-STOCK.zip)
- The Clock Widget in the screenshots (This, and for the Wallpapers Actual Preview is Simi Clock Widget)

FAQ's:
Q: The font didn't apply? There are no changes?
A: Firstly, make sure the font genuinely has not applied. The difference is pretty subtle, so, it is possible to miss it. First, check the lockscreen clock font. if it has still not applied, you probably have to try an alternate method to install these. Here is a before/after pic for comparison between the fonts.
Comparison Case 1
Before | After
Comparison Case 2
Before | After
Q: The flashable Zip did not work
A: Firstly, in case your phone hangs / bootloops, try again. There are quite a few members for whom this zip worked in the 2nd attempt. Fortunately, there are a ton of other ways to install fonts. Assuming you did not get into a bootloop, you can try one of these methods:
- Font Changer App from the Market
- ADB
- Terminal Emulator
Q: What about Non-root GS1/ GS2 users?
A: You are going to have to create a Flipfont APK file for the same in that case. The method is posted here.
In case you just want the readymade APK, it is available here. (Check the complete thread before installing)

Nice 3xeno. I love them
How much does it take to boot up when you change the fonts? Mine is still on the bootanimation after 10 minutes.
Doesn't take longer than a normal reboot after flashing something. (Or at most, it's slightly longer than normal). Guess you are in a bootloop.
I had to revert to the old fonts. it seems that the roboto ones don't work in my case. Thanks anyway for the walls and sounds.
It's weird, I put up that attachment after personally testing it (As shown in the screenshots). I'll check again and revert. :/

Totally agree mate, which is precisely what I have said in the 1st line of this thread. The moment I saw the slide at the event, I KNEW I had to get this font somehow.
I can't get it to start. Not even with the original fonts. And I forgot to do a backup first. Any suggestions?
Reflash ROM without a wipe. It should sort it.
Font looks smooth, although I will have to resize the fonts in nearly all my Widgets if I decide to keep it it flashed perfect, there's nothing wrong with the zip.
Sent from my HTC Wildfire using xda premium
Anyone flashed it on the cyanogemod stable version 7.1.0.1? Until now looking at the user signatures, worked only on nightly builds.
I am on 7.1.0.1 Stable. (Sig is outdated. )
@ Scratch, surprisingly, this is the only font that has worked well for me, including the widgets, but, I get what you mean.
Its because I was using walkway font with missed it and mclock. I had to set all the font sizes myself to make em fit.
Sent from my HTC Wildfire using xda premium
In that case...I don't know.
TY
Edit: Guess what. I reflashed the rom without wipe. Flashed the font and now it works. Weird.

Is there a way to turn Roboto font into an apk for non-rooted Galaxy SII owners ?
Just flashed the font on my CM7 nightly 220 or something like that with CWM 2.5 and it all worked great.
Just as a though, is there any way to go back to the previous font, besides restoring the backup?

Please also make this recovery with english language. I'll be thankful to you
I have the English version works fine on my Redmi 2 (2014818), but after a few reboots/shut downs, the recovery *forgets* the settings etc, it would reset back to default every time and ask me if I want to mount system as "read only" or not.
And the recovery seems to be hard coded to show "2014811" on the screen. Would be cool if it shows the correct model number.
Bonus: Charging works fine in recovery.

The recovery partition has been changed...a new build is needed.

after a few reboots/shut downs, the recovery *forgets* the settings etc, it would reset back to default every time and ask me if I want to mount system as "read only" or not.

I don't know why

Yes, maybe I make a new version over the TWRP 3.0.
I just don't know if it's necessary.
Maybe just for fun

Galaxy Stars Custom Animation for Boot & Shutdown v2.0
Designed by: Rayan Refoua
INTRODUCTION:
Hi everyone! I think that the stock Samsung boot animation is unsatisfyingly boring and it sucks! So I made a more beautiful version for myself and shared it here so you can use it too if you like it. I hope you find it nice to use!

NICE!!!!
It downloads as .jar and when I flash in flashify it doesn't change anything.
Can I use flashfire to flash this on my newly rooted Snapdragon G955u s8+? i might have to guinea pig it and try it tonight.
Tried it.. nothing happened. Didn't bootloop me but still have the same Samsung+Verizon splash screen

You will need to extract and manually place then and set permissions. The VZW animation is housed in CSC folder.
Once placed here works great and looks fantastic.

You can also install it manually:
1. Download the zip file and extract .qmg files from it (system/media/...).
2. Go to root/system/Media (on your Phone) and copy .qmg files there.
3. Make sure that the permission of files is set to 644.
4. Reboot!
The processor type is not important at all.
Works like a charm. Thank you!
This is a beautiful boot animation! So much better than the ugly Verizon one. Thanks for this, and thanks to @pimpmaneaton for showing how to do it on the Snapdragon Verizon variant.
Want to use this on the newly rooted Snapdragon s8+?
Drop it into this directory (for TMobile) and apply correct permissions
If doing for another carrier finds your careiers folder inside the system/omc folder and drop it there.
This is beautiful!!!
T-mobile snapdragon varient here!!!
Thank you for this!
Great! Thx!
hi all .. yes I jumped the gun and extracted the files to go into the media folder and says I cant ... HOWEVER I was able to get into terminal emulator and chmod the files ... and I still cant copy them ... I DID already remove the qmg files that were in that folder ... help
got it ... thanks
Shutdown in res/media/video im so funny sometimes
Awesome Work:good:
Thank you
Easily installed by following instructions of manually placing 3 files in correct folder, renaming old boots (in case I ever need to revert), and chmod 644! Looks great. Thanks so much for the hard work and sharing. Much appreciated

Sorry, there is a shutdown animation in this package? I installed it (I think by hand) ages ago and while I have the wonderful startup animation I don't see a shutdown one.
Granted, I use "soft reboot" a lot but I still do sometimes reboot the "old fashioned way"
No there's not I was just saying where to find the shutdown animation file location for any other general shutdown animation, I use The Oreo bootanimations for example.
bootanimation.zip
Can share bootanimation.zip for other device plz :fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed:
you happen to know what the crypt ones arefor??
