Hi guys on trip's latest miui rom.
I know that 49 is the best tired trip's work but I find 52 better with the network. Is it just me? Would moving to 54give me even better results?
Deciding whether I can he bothered with baseband patches

Hello fellow Aussie-Melbournite-Telstra Bud. LOL
Uh, i do think it does not matter that much, though i would use base .58 becos to me, it feels like it has better signal. needs verification.
Dont know about Melbourne, but i live in Sydney and i use baseband .54 which i think is the best for our country
Yeah I might track down the baseband patch and give it a shot
Hopefully I can get even better performance

First buy, than search. Next time do it the other way around to avoid disappointments. Fortunately for us there are some good froyo roms available in the x10 rom section on this forum. That doesnt help a bit for the incalling volume though...

Does prop.build only modify antenna performance? I thought i read somewhere that prop.build held access to many hw issues.

is it? can anyone create a short video of whats new, how much it is smoother ect. thanks
No! If you would read you would see its not a complete kernel its nothing more than a proof of concept. Z's announcement was meant for developers to know he had accomplished the bypass and would be providing source for custom kernels. The current kernel will never be developed or supported. There is absolutely no reason for 99% of the people here to flash this kernel.

As of now, I don't think it's a good idea.
Just wait patiently for devs to do their work.
I don't think the wait will be long
Things sure changed fast in the X10 development in the last few weeks.
It's a good idea xD
It's nice and smooth...

Agreed it works. Well for daily use
Sent from my X10i using XDA App
Backup you're current ROM and try flashing it. I tried it on 2.1 and 2.2 but on wrong bb. For the few seconds it worked (before it restarted) i was amazed at how much more responsive it was. Back to SE kernel for now. If was on the right bb i would gladly use it as a daily rom.
Flash the right bb, it's worth it
Nah, I think I keep my 2.2 until SE releases Gingerbread.
Flash-support and JIT really makes my phone smooth even if its still locked in FPS.
But it will be really interesting to see what the devs can do with custom kernels.
I can't even think of going back to the fps capped froyo roms now. Its just so smooth. Like a new phone.

too early, imo.

It's worth it. But hopefully it will get better with 2.3 kernels!
does camera and video recorder work on the new kernal?
Sent from my X10i using XDA App
its well worth it! everything is so fast and smooth espesiaclly launcher pros scrolling between homepages. i have had no problems with this custom kernal at all so i think its fir for daily use.
Title says it all. Which baseband you got? Old or new? VOTE NOW!
I think that new baseband don't gives anything new..
using stock froyo so far
I don't care the baseband in use, In the moment I only want a stable rom, 2.3 with bare essencials and made from official ROM, not from CM.
Cyanogen Team is great but i miss somethings that original ROMs have (ex: making a call with headphones and hear, divx codec from scratch...)

old baseband....
Am using new. With 2.3 upgrade. But I dont want it. I have no wifi calling and that is the most important feature for me! Is there any way to bring my O1 back to 2.2. Froyo?
Sent from my LG-P500 using xda premium
new one.....
& if old then is there any way to revert back to the same??
Sent from my LG-P500 using xda premium
I'm using new one because I have better signal then the old one, try using ur phone on elevetor with old baseband
Sent from my LG-P500 using XDA App
I see no benefits in the new baseband so why spend time working on a feature that has no benefit at all.
Sent from my phone.
any baseband will do ciaox because changing baseband is so easy, not a problem with me
Old froyo baseband is the best the official has lack of functions.

I am with old baseband..bcoz the data tracker bug..is irritating me alot
New, because of better signal, no random reboots.

can someone please advise:
my dad (yes, i am not an adult, just a high school student) has no intention of getting me a data plan with internet and text messaging. just plain calling. pretty much i can go either way with the baseband right? i can still make calls as long as i apply mik's patch right? the better signal is appealing to me a lot.
sorry for the question (no one rage please ). i know that it is everywhere in the forum but i want to hear from another user rather than just the instructions
of course old baseband

yep, you are right, you can just use new baseband and apply mik's patch. I prefer also the new baseband due to better signal=better battery.
Old baseband one it works well and on top of that the only worth while ROM in the new baseband is yours open Optimus

stilll on stock froyo??the latest gingerbread ones with old baesband give upto 3x terrifying mind blowing performances!!and the roms based on new baseband dont work good with tweaks like ungaze data2sd(as far as i know) so i always prefer cm7 based old baseband roms
i have new baseband. I want to have old one, but after i bricked my phone doing old baseband stuff (i though im going to get oficial 2.2 ) i dont want to downgrade.....
I actually experienced both; and feel like 0.42 performs faster & more responsive than the 0.62. I wonder about other people's experiences & opinions... Which one would you prefer to use?

I believe this rather than being a specific question to a specific problem; it's more like a poll thread for observing people's opinion... who ever wants to participate.

I think 62 is better and smooth than 42.
Sent from my ST18i using XDA
.62 giving me great battery backup, and i dont think 42 is faster than 62.
for me .62 is smoother and better than .42... but recently i reflash .562ICS (CEurope) and i'm very happy withit... benchmarks are better than GB (3192 antutu) and all the features works like a charm... i stay on ICS
Hi! I want to know if ics is good on XU for games and stuff and stability and smoothness, because my friend got one and don't know if he keeps it or sells it. Pls help thznk you in advance

Hey mate,
Yes, the Xperia U is good in ICS Performance is not bad but most importantly, the features over GB are what makes the upgrade worth it Its a good phone and Developer Activity is good and if you want even faster speeds, Check out some of the custom roms available here

Its for a friend who doesn't care having gb or ics that's why I ll update only if performance is ad good as in gb
Sent from my LT22i using xda premium
Although not as good as, its nearly the same though So if Performance is your major concern and features dont matter, stay with GB. Else update
