I have noticed that whenever I scroll, my music player starts to sutter. I'm running Community Rom v3, but I noticed that it happenes with other roms too. I don't know if it's some type of bug or what? It's really anoying, it never happened on my OG Droid, Dinc, or any other device.
It gets really anoying, I can't scroll or the music will be stutter like bad signal on FM Radio. Clicking the screen doesn't really affect it, so it's gotta be some type of bug. Does anyone else have this issue? Do you guys have any ideas?
Thanks for any help.
I had this issue on the comm rom. Haven't had it on CM7.

So, could it be TouchWiz related?
It's an issue with the Froyo kernel. It will happen on all Roms that use a Froyo kernel. Some have said that repartitioning their phone using Odin alleviated the problem.
I have a thread on this in the general section here.
Ive had this issue after having voodoo control load the latest kernel module. Yhe way I fix it is to odin the full DL09 that adrynalyne provides in the how to get to edo1 thread. Using the atlas pit with repartition checked. I never have the problem again unless I load the kernel module again.

Sorry I have to post here, I am a long time viewer but first time Poster
Okay I am having a very weird thing happen… upgraded from SC 2.6 to SC 2.9 (did all the steps Wiped cash, Wiped Dalvak, etc.) phone works fine but periodically (maybe 30 minutes maybe 2 hrs) l I get a black screen and nothing can wake it until I do a hard reset.
This only happens when not connected to power.
I have reinstalled via CWM (Red) and Odin, I have replaced the Modem.bin and applied 2.9.1
My feeling is this may be related to a application as my last ODIN install worked for over 12 hours until I updated applications, but the applications I am running are not that big of a deal
Dolphin HD, Facebook, Youmail, Alarm Clock Plus, SMS Backup+, Titanium Backup, Rom Manager, YouTube, Flash 10.1, Google Voice, Google Maps, Barcode Scanner, Poynt & Widgetoid 2.x
I ran the same Apps on SC 2.6, Balckhole 4 and JT's Vanilla Froyo without issue, I have tried the Voodoo and Non Voodoo installs to no avail, anyone seen anything similar or even better have a fix?
Sounds like the sleep of death issue to me. So far there isn't a fix for it.
Deff the sleep of death. . And the really bad part is.. You can't get calls in that state, and of you receive a text in that state it will go to the twilight zone never to be seen again.

My problem is getting rid of it... I have now flashed 3 different versions of of SC on it SC 2.9, 2.8 and 2.3 and it still exists ..
I may try putting a whole new ROM see if that has any effect!

Ok now I know the problem there is a good thread here, thanks for the guidance http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=960080&highlight=sleep+death
I found that my sleep of death only happens when I use the clock app thing. The app semi sleeps the phone then when I touch the screen it doesn't come out of it properly so the next time I turn it off it won't wake. Now I just don't use that stock alarm click thing.

Had a feeling it revolved around clocks.. .. people know beautiful widgets cause sleep of death.. And people report that their clicks lag in froyo.. Froyo has some serious issues.

After trying a bunch of different ROMs over the last year or so, I can honestly say that PWGB 2.0b3 is the one that comes closest to perfection for me. The only thing I'm missing (as I'm aware a lot of PWGB users are) is a Voodoo kernel. Specifically, I am dying without Voodoo sound and the Voodoo Control app from supercurio.
Has anyone tried the 'Voodoo Control Plus' paid app on this ROM yet? I will purchase it today if someone can tell me whether or not it will work with the current kernel that comes with PWGB.

App works great, I have been using this rom and kernel with no issues.

It works fine
Thanks for the quick reply! I've purchased and installed the Voodoo Control Plus app and it's working great! So nice to have that clarity and volume back once again! Kudos to supercurio for making the SGS phones simply awesome, and the best audio experience, hands down!

it will work, it can load the voodoo sound control module without you having a custom kernel, im using it as we speak
Just be sure to set "Recording Preset" to Original if you plan on recording video. For me at least, it won't record audio on the Balanced setting (which it sets to automatically as its the default). Havent tried it with the other settings, since setting to back to Original fixed audio recording for me.

This works on stock kernel?
Works on both stock and the two new voodoo kernels. One by ccampos himself. Like stated by splashattach make sure "recording present" is set to original. Otherwise there will be no sound in video.

Hello everyone,
I have major problems with my htc desire. It was running on cyanogen mod 7 then all of a sudden it started going very slow, the animation and application were very very slow. Also, the phone seemed like to freeze because the hour would stop running thus being late. And the worse, at some point the phone just goes off and restart, also very slowly.
Oh and I forgot, when it goes suddenly slow and I touch it,it vibrates.
Here it is, I tried to change the rom several times and now I am on leedroid 2.5 but it still has the same problem.
Does anyone know what to do ?
Thank you very much
Flash different kernel, try to clear cache, may be an issue on your Rom too

Where can I find kernels ? And can I use any ones with the leedroid 2.5 rom ?
Depends on the kernel.go to your desire development zone, search for thread started with [kernel]

And how exactly can I change the kernel please ? Do I just flash it ?
Yes, you just flash it in recovery like you would flash a ROM. But make sure you use a kernel that is compatible with AOSP.
Well I flashed this one kernel-bravo-2.6.32.38-leedroid-110416 but I still have the same problem...
Have you tried flashing to stock and testing if issue persists? Basically if it isnt the ROM, kernel, or a non-stock app, (one you installed) it's a hardware issue.
Can also try to see whats causing the slowdown either with a process or memory manager.
A little possibility that your apps make these weird things:
Try to think what have you installed before this.

This isn't really a problem or anything but I just flashed back to stock for the first time since I changed me rom and I noticed some differences from what actually shipped with my phone. One or two of the bloatware was gone but what actually bugged me was the camcorder app was gone too. I can still access the video camera through the regular camera app though. I just thought it was kind of weird, that's all. But it got me thinking if it is actually stock or altered stock.
Anyone else notice anything like this?

What PDA did you download?
T959UVJFD.tar
From this Guide:
http://api.viglink.com/api/click?fo...6#entry11106&jsonp=vglnk_jsonp_13221595639972
And here is the download link:

Bump
Something is definitely wrong. I tried restoring with a different pda and I got even more bloatware missing including latitude, navigation and many others.
Could someone please give me a link to a pda that is ' complete'?

I dont believe there is one....as far as warranty issues if thats the case...dont worry about it....they aren't looking to see if its a perfect stock build.
Navigation, latitude, places....comes in one package you can get from market..."google maps"
I was just wondering what different glitch kernels people were using and what things it is supposedly supposed to fix.
My build 6 was working great and i didn't even need a glitch kernel, i had no problems whatsoever, but i decided to update to 6.5. Now my calendar doesn't work and some other things just don't run as smoothly. I'm not sure why i decided to update...
Anyway will any glitch kernels fix this and if so what are people running. What things are the new kernels supposed to fix
Any links would be appreciated
Thanks
EDIT: Now in my settings under accounts and sync it has an exclamation point by "sync com.android.calendar" and at the bottom it says "syn is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly"

Flash this gapps fixer for your calendar problem. Glitch kernel could be helpful as far as "smoothness" is concerned, you can read about the kernel features on the thread. One nice thing is not having to deal with the call volume issue either.

Aww sweet that is exactly what I was looking for and it worked. I'm not sure why I searched everywhere and I never even heard anyone mention that gapps fixer
