Hi all, I have a slightly annoying problem. Whenever I boot up my phone, after about 20 seconds I get the message pop up like in the screenshot I have taken. After pressing force close it doesn't come up again, but I don't know why it does out in the first place.
I tried removing set cpu but the message still popped up. Everything seems to work ok (except the damn deep sleep without aero mode on boot) but this message box annoys me...
I am running j's cm7 with and the baseband provided with it, along with the bootloader bypass v2. I'm just wondering if any of you have ideas our know what could be causing this issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks.

Problem solved, someone else on the forum had the same issue and the problem was that we had the 'set on boot' option selected in settings> cyanogenmod settings> performance settings> cpu settings.
Its all good now, i hope this can help someone

With my folio 100 with an updated Dexter ROM (1.4*), it wakes up regularly (I would say about each 15 minutes). This make the battery life VERY short.
Does anyone have the same problem?
Does anyone have a solution for that purpose?
Best regards.
RaiFolio
Looks like it´s a nvidia problem, i have the same issue every now and then.
Response from dexter:
its a hardware bug, see Nvidia site on harmony development boards and tango.. they confirm they did not fix the issue.
Im having that problem too, so we currently dont have any solution?

I am not fully convinced that it is a hardware problem. My folio wakes up with all roms that are based on the stock rom. But I did not have a single wakeup with CM7.
I would rather blame the Nvidia drivers (ressource manager?) than the hardware itself for the wakeup bug (except that it may be that the wakeup is a dirty workaround for another hardware problem).
Hello,
I also had that problem at first, then I went in the wifi settings, pressed the menu button to bring up advanced seetings, set the wifi sleep policy to never and then disabled wifi and gps in the Location & security settings.
That seemed to work for me, it might not work for others...
Regards,
Luis
Thanks Nyaria, i will try today if that works

Ok, I also removed a lot of apps that I don't need, I'll make a list of what's remaining and maybe the problem is with just one app.
I just finished a standby test with Foliomod 1.4 and got near 30 hours of standby with light email usage... not bad
Regards,
Luis
hello
for the problem of waking up the solution is to leave the wifi constantly under foliomod 1.4
if your portfolio suffers from freezing after waking up to SetCPU mini max 1000 604
but also
I have tried the ROM Mblaster very very very good work fluid
The main problem is that the wifi does not reconect
J So I installed the second version of max 1000
It is less fluid, but the wifi works well, but back then SOD j've given SetCPU mini max 1000 and 604 more problem
If you can solve the problem of wifi I am ready to test because my portfolio suffers whenever SOD
thank you for your very good work
sod negative return
ROM handed CyanogenMod 7.0.0 Oc 1500 with a 1000 SetCPU
and shutdownquick
can it be the folio buttons?
with my folio the screen wake's up and the search button flashes.
also wen i am working with it then the google search pops up
i tried deinstall the google search app but no effect on my broblem.
sorry for the bad english hope you guys can read it
I'm so thankful for this thread, cos the wifi advanced setting trick has worked for me!
my foliomod kept turning itself on every 60 secs (can you believe it), after it turned it off, and it was irritating me no end. now it stays off once i set the wifi policy to never.
thanks!
After few month there isn't solution for it ?
I think that problems is that folio search wifi network on every x seconds. That can be changed in build.prop file.

Turn on acceleration sensor and lock app in memory. When Folio screen turn on, after ten seconds it will turn off

I had this issue with the honeycomb rom, v0.4 , turning back to foliomod 1.4 now all work good, but i can't turn off wi-fi during the screen-off, cause the wi-fi took a lot of time to take the network. I noticed that with honeycomb the "back" button was glowing and then the screen power up in lock state...maybe the problem could be folio button...

I'm sorry to hear about your reboot problem.
You could check if you get the same problem using another SIM card in the phone. If you only experience reboots when receiving calls maybe it could have something to do with the SIM card.
If not you can try to reinstall the phone software using Update Service. Found here: www dot sonyericsson dot com /updateservice

Hello
sorry for my english.
When I'm not plugin with the usb power connected, I've got a stranger behaviour very disturbing.
When my device goes itself or by on/off push buttons in sleep, automatically it reboot itself.
So, if I let him alone, the battery fall down very quickly, and I have to wait the rebooting before to use it.
I've read something which could help me here, but not enought : "http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1184852"
. Do you think, it could come from Avast?
. I tried different ROM official and no unficial, sill the same. The thing strange, and after a official instal, the behaviours has desapear until i reboot.

In advance thank you.
A first solution : airplane mode
Bonjour,
I've found this solution http://forum.archosfans.com/viewtopic.php?f=74&t=53186
Put your device in airplane mode. Go in sleep (black screen). Push the ON button. Remove airplane mode. It's working! I don't know why?
It's not efficient for me. I have to know why, and how to solve it!
If you restart your device, and the WIFI was activated, you have to do it again.
Let's see what happen in the few day.
It has worked only one time.
In fact, if I let Avast make a scan or i let a music player, every thing is all right.
I do not understand what's happen....
decrase the Brightness
Nop
Thanks you for this answer but it didn't work. I decrease the brightness but same behaviour.
Mine has done the same thing. It's annoying. Just won't wake up, have to reboot. On newest FW too.

Mine's bone stock. Haven't done anything to it yet besides the factory firmware update. Was about to start rooting it, but haven't yet. About to hit up your thread to get that going. I DID have it airplane mode today, as I was on an airplane, hit the button, came right up. There's something to that...
Add
Thanks
To add some information -
I have done your procedure : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1456875
. Step 1: Gain temp root - OK Every works corectly (I only used the original post from Paul's root)
. Step 2: Enable SDE and Permanently root your tablet I do not did the last step below :
15. Turn off your device again and boot back into recovery
16. Select Developer Menu > Remove android Kernel
17. Accept warnings (MEDIA & APPS WILL BE UNAFFECTED)
18. Reboot. Your device will now boot the rooted edition every time

. Other thing, my archos do not seam to be rooted : When I'm trying to use titanium, it explain that it should be not rooted.
I've changed the method to the right one. Check my thread

No
I tried 3 times. but still the same behaviour.
After a reboot or after that I install a appli, same behaviour. Very supprising.
Do you have any idea?
Cool
Trop bien!
It seams that the v 3.2.80
which have this correction : Hard drive based products: avoid suspend/resume issues happening sometimes
correct effectively those wrong behaviour.
I will confirm you next week that it's "SOLVED"
I'm trying this update tonight!
I like this tablet, except the damn sleep of death, which I JUST had to go through to boot it up to check the firmware version. If that gets fixed, I can permanently replace my Acer A100. It is the most annoying thing about this tablet. I do have a 250gb G80. Hope this does it.
So far so good, wakes right up. Need to let it sit for a bit and let it idle awhile.

My X10 Mini Pro crashes after some minutes within a voice call conversation. I'm using nAa with MiniCm7 2.2.0. It just stucks. I had this in Simplexity 2.2 also. Can somebody help me?
I am having a similar problem with MiniCM7 2.1.9. My phone freezes and sometimes reboots, other times becomes unresponsive to all, so I have to remove the battery to be able to reboot.
I did not have this problem with GinTonic and stock kernel, so Im not sure if this is indeed a problem with the ROM, rathe the kernel.
Could anyone add more info / details on this?

More digging
Since I got no replies I've started digging myself...
I've plugged my phone in USB and started a live view of logcat.
Then I've tried to reproduce the problem (open and connect Skype, then call someone - in this case, the "Skype echo/call testing service").
A few seconds later my phone gets all black and completely unresponsive.
And in logcat, nothing . Just tome "write blocked (...)" messages
Is there a way to get the logs from the kernel execution?
PS: I'm still posting here because XDA does not allow me to post in the dev thread.
Hey guys, haven't been on these forums in a longggg while
Anyway, just recently I started experiencing a terrible issue. On every boot, the phone refuses to transition from the CM7 animation to my lockscreen. The animation just keeps playing. However when I touch the screen where the bar would normally be I do feel the haptic feedback. I have rebooted several times but to no avail. CWM works though.
EDIT: Did a factory reset but to no avail?!?!
Urgent help needed >< Thanks.

Yep, it does, but I have to reconfigure my app2sd and the issue comes back at random.
how long have you been waiting for that?
I have once wait more than 30min. I suppose that s2e working there since that happens only after I change s2e or link2sd configurations. Not sure about that but might be a clue.
do u mean the native app2sd? or what does it move to SD(or EXT?), apx, dex, data etc?
