Hi all.
Is there someone to confirm that "Tegrak Overclock" app works on GT-I9100?
It's working on Korean GalaxyS2 models, but I can't be sure on Europe GalaxyS2.
Web link: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.tegrak.overclock
Mobile link: market://details?id=com.tegrak.overclock
Thank you for reading my question.
the free app works! could you update your paid app too? I actually bought it for the additional functionality only to find that the paid app is an older version
thanks for the great work by the way

also working on UK model unbranded, unlocked galaxy s ii
but to be honest, the galaxy s 2 doesnt need an overclock, it needs an underclock! ;P

Hey blaaez, I really appreciate it! I almost gave up, nobody read my question. hehe
Hm,, I had to confirm it works on Europe model before update paid version.
because I don't like sell "not working" app.

Oh don't thank me. I should thank you for making this for the s2. Now I can have my overclock without the ugly yellow! sign when I boot up. Ok could you update the paid app so I can have the features like auto set on boot.
Mods could you move this to the development section
I'm sure you'll have more replies there!
oh by the way what does CORE voltage and INTERNAL voltage mean?
Oh and it works but 1.452 is unstable for me. Maybe not enough voltage .. that's why need you to update the paid version quickly! Hehe
core voltages
Does anyone knows how much decrease/increase voltage to underclock/overclock at what speed ?? i cannot find any instruction anywhere
tried latest version but get this error when I try to load overclock module

Free version worked ok for me on a UK SGS2 running Lite'ning ROM version 1.0. Overclocked no problem to 1.4 Ghz at stock voltages (didn't try any higher yet) and got the following in Quadrant Advanced (yes I know, but it's all we have at the moment).
Edit: Added Quadrant Standard screenshots for comparison as Advanced doesn't play too well with Gingerbread.

Hm.. the kernel source of GT-I9000 at Samsung Opensource homepage is different from current kernel, so this app doesn't work on custom kernels now.
And in Korea, custom kernels (that built from the source) make quadrant point lower. I think it is same in Europe models.

LOL, well played. I've not had the bottle to go any further yet, but I'm sure I will. I love overclocking stuff, ran my HD2 at 1.5 Ghz for 4 months before I sold it
Edited my other post to add Quadrant Standard.
nicely done Tegrak
I'm trying 1.6ghz and trying to beat your score.
what speed and voltage is that?
and what's the difference between CORE and INTERNAL voltage?

Stable/safe overclock will vary per device. What works for one might not work/be safe for another. Use this app with care!

Why, is it not fast enough already?
Seriously, though, to do any overclocking we first need a custom kernel. So far no one has released any yet. I've been trying to compile the kernel for I9100G, no success yet.

Maybe I'll give it a go if I ever get my kernel done. I've got it compiled and running, but no wifi. I think Samsung cheated with the source code. Some bits are missing or misconfigured, like the battery drivers. Just got that out of the way, so working on the wifi now.
Other than the CPU speed, I'm also interested on whether it's possible to overclock the GPU. Our OMAP4430 is virtually identical to the OMAP4460, but with lower rated speed. The SGX540 chip on the 4430 in running at 304 MHz versus 384 MHz on the 4460. It'll be interesting if we can make ours running up to 384 MHz.
Possible.

Thanks for the vote of confidence. I'm still stuck at the Wifi. I've been tried to get it up for three days now but I don't seem to be any closer to a solution. Just wish someone could give me some pointers. Can't get started on any kernel modding until I get that sorted out.

Best way to learn is to ask directly to a kernel developer about your problem..

Finally got it! Turned out my init.rc file was missing a couple of lines required to make the wpa_supplicant service start up properly.
Woo hoo! I've got my own kernel now. Will post it when I get the chance.
Will try it if you release. No custom rom available but at least do have custom kernel to try.
wow good job
i hope that one day we can try a custom rom lol
there's some awesome roms for I9100 out there it's really a shame, is it that hard to tweak em a little for the I9100G ?
0% Android programming experience here so don't blame me for asking

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1321582
i have rooted my i9100g successfully using zerg rush (link above)
Surprise that no one has asked this question before and opened a thread regarding about it.
Since the day i reverted to android the first cpu app that i used was Setcpu. For me it did everything. Gave me good performance and then good battery..Was a very happy bunny.
But then everyone talked about Voltage Control and how you can choose schedulers and plus you can do so much more than with Setcpu..So i thought i give it a try.. And funnily enough i never looked back...Problem is though i found a bug on Voltage Control and cpu clock speeds seem to keep reverting back to stock..You try to overclock and underclock and nothing..
Anyway so i thought i try No-Frills..The downside to this is that you can not play with the voltages...But i still gave it a try..For me it seem to perform alot better than the other previous apps and i certainly noticed the difference when overclocking..
Still can not judge which is better though...Or if there is anything different..For me Voltage Control has the upper hand with the all the tweaks that you can do..But regarding performance it seems No-Frills you can notice the difference..
What do you guys think and what is your overall view about the 3 above? Do you know any other app that is better than the 3 above as i have stated? I would like to know as i am learning and i am quite fascinated on how such a small app can handle the power of our phone...So i welcome any input and hopefully we can shed more light and gain more info regarding the beautiful apps that handle the power of our phone.
Thanks to all the devs who created those beauties
Staying with SetCPU.
Voltage control, as I dont have to have another app running. init.d scripts are nice.
There's also just been a update that fixes the frequency not being set bug.

Hello it is a bit of time (specifically since I switched from Android 2.3.6 to Android 4.0.3) that reflected this problem:
pretty much as we know the processor of our galaxy s2 is 1.2 GHz, but I do not know why when I do something a little heavier than the 800MHz processor crashes ...
For example if I'm on the Home Menu or APP processor (with the Performance setting to see if it was left to 1.2GHz) remained at 1.2GHz, while if I start some game or some app a little heavier than the processor down to 800MHz and stays until I am not to put it back to 1.2GHz, so I created a slowdown ...
Do you know why and then tell me how to fix it? Thank you ...
[Currently I get on the CM10 kernel with Siyah 5.0i]
[But I found this thing up even different kernels and roms such as:
ROM: Stock LP7 (4.0.3), LPF Stock (4.0.3)
Kernel: both those stocks with the Roma Siyah 4.1.5]
I already tried to do the restore factory
I apologize for the English but I am Italian

hi guys,
does ayone can tell me which ROM can be good for my Hongkong version N7005? Galaxy Note LTE?

As we are using ICS ROMs based on the official firmware for your phone , I'm pretty sure you would be good to use all the ROMs made for the at&t note...The only difference being the hardware for NFC.
You should definitely be able to flash Padawan and Blackstar as they are based on your current ROM and currently do not have any code for NFC.
I'm not sure about jb based ROMs as they would have code for NFC hardware and I'm not sure how your phone would react...although I'm sure I did read about someone in Singapore with your version of note being able to use all of the ROMs on this forum...
Sir,
I m new to N7005. Are these 2 links?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1907203

Further Question, N7005 4G frequency are 1800/ 2600 GHz which are different from original i717. Is it safe to flash to have 1800/ 2600 GHz too?

Those are the two I am talking about...neither one of them currently has a modem in their flashable so...as far as I know....your existing modem will not change if you flash them and you should still have service on the bands you mention..
Both are good after viewing comment. Which one do you recommend for stable, power saving and less FC? I saw youtube that both are snappier.
I installed lots of game apps.
