Depends of your kernel firstly, and your usage type in a second part.

pegasuq governor, 200-1.4ghz scalling, thresholds- lower %=higher cpu clock stage. so it is up to you what percentage to choose

lads i tell u feel a bit lost here in this apk

I recommend using siyah kernel. It is very stable. You can find different cpu and gpu settings in the signature of most recognized developer here to serve as ur guide.

[Q] Overclock app tester (done. moved to dev section)

Hi all.
Is there someone to confirm that "Tegrak Overclock" app works on GT-I9100?
It's working on Korean GalaxyS2 models, but I can't be sure on Europe GalaxyS2.
Web link: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.tegrak.overclock
Mobile link: market://details?id=com.tegrak.overclock
Thank you for reading my question.
the free app works! could you update your paid app too? I actually bought it for the additional functionality only to find that the paid app is an older version
thanks for the great work by the way

also working on UK model unbranded, unlocked galaxy s ii
but to be honest, the galaxy s 2 doesnt need an overclock, it needs an underclock! ;P

Hey blaaez, I really appreciate it! I almost gave up, nobody read my question. hehe
Hm,, I had to confirm it works on Europe model before update paid version.
because I don't like sell "not working" app.

Oh don't thank me. I should thank you for making this for the s2. Now I can have my overclock without the ugly yellow! sign when I boot up. Ok could you update the paid app so I can have the features like auto set on boot.
Mods could you move this to the development section
I'm sure you'll have more replies there!
oh by the way what does CORE voltage and INTERNAL voltage mean?
Oh and it works but 1.452 is unstable for me. Maybe not enough voltage .. that's why need you to update the paid version quickly! Hehe
core voltages
Does anyone knows how much decrease/increase voltage to underclock/overclock at what speed ?? i cannot find any instruction anywhere
tried latest version but get this error when I try to load overclock module

Free version worked ok for me on a UK SGS2 running Lite'ning ROM version 1.0. Overclocked no problem to 1.4 Ghz at stock voltages (didn't try any higher yet) and got the following in Quadrant Advanced (yes I know, but it's all we have at the moment).
Edit: Added Quadrant Standard screenshots for comparison as Advanced doesn't play too well with Gingerbread.

Hm.. the kernel source of GT-I9000 at Samsung Opensource homepage is different from current kernel, so this app doesn't work on custom kernels now.
And in Korea, custom kernels (that built from the source) make quadrant point lower. I think it is same in Europe models.

Edited my other post to add Quadrant Standard.
nicely done Tegrak
I'm trying 1.6ghz and trying to beat your score.
what speed and voltage is that?
and what's the difference between CORE and INTERNAL voltage?

No-Frills, Setcpu or Voltage Control. Which one works for you the best?

Surprise that no one has asked this question before and opened a thread regarding about it.
Since the day i reverted to android the first cpu app that i used was Setcpu. For me it did everything. Gave me good performance and then good battery..Was a very happy bunny.
But then everyone talked about Voltage Control and how you can choose schedulers and plus you can do so much more than with Setcpu..So i thought i give it a try.. And funnily enough i never looked back...Problem is though i found a bug on Voltage Control and cpu clock speeds seem to keep reverting back to stock..You try to overclock and underclock and nothing..
Anyway so i thought i try No-Frills..The downside to this is that you can not play with the voltages...But i still gave it a try..For me it seem to perform alot better than the other previous apps and i certainly noticed the difference when overclocking..
Still can not judge which is better though...Or if there is anything different..For me Voltage Control has the upper hand with the all the tweaks that you can do..But regarding performance it seems No-Frills you can notice the difference..
What do you guys think and what is your overall view about the 3 above? Do you know any other app that is better than the 3 above as i have stated? I would like to know as i am learning and i am quite fascinated on how such a small app can handle the power of our phone...So i welcome any input and hopefully we can shed more light and gain more info regarding the beautiful apps that handle the power of our phone.
Thanks to all the devs who created those beauties
Staying with SetCPU.
Voltage control, as I dont have to have another app running. init.d scripts are nice.
There's also just been a update that fixes the frequency not being set bug.

[Q] Battery Draining

How to extended the battery life time and minimize it's draining during your daily usage of the SGS2 ?
Also is. Over clocking. Increases the battery draining ?
To extend your battery life, stop using your phone and/or decrease the screen brightness when using it.
Overclocking will probably increase the battery drain if your phone is using the overclocked frequencies.
To increase your battery life turn your phone off every time you are not using it, turn it on when you want to use it, that will get you good battery life.
Honestly search this forum there are a handful of threads that give guides and tutorials on how to maintain battery life not that difficult to search my friend.

Use it as a paperweight and that should be good enough..Or just keep having the charger in it while you are at home
anyway lame jokes aside. get yourself a decent kernel. in your case speedmod. set the governor of your choice and let the magic begin......seriously for you that kernel should be fine. just do not get to excited when the magic begins and you start kissing your phone though just do not tell us here
Hope that helps mate

Speedmod is fine on default. No need to change governor unless you want to try conservative but I recommend to leave speedmod as is.

To be honest you don't need to use any of those type of application you are better off just removing them and leaving the kernel on complete stock.

[Q] What is the best OC application?

Good evening guys. I started this thread because I'm a bit confused on what is the best OC for our SGA. Can someone help on this?

How high can you go? with respect to the stability.
The overclock capabilities depend on the kernel the app will just help you access the them

There are differents in how high u can go, try out at your own Risk
My phone gets into a boot loop if I overclock it to 883MHz, so be careful while overclocking. You might kill your ace

Samsung tests their processors to work stable at 800Mhz only.

overclocking is too much desired.... but in a hot condition .... keep ur ace cool at normal MHZ of 800 else u can end up of excessive battery heating ,, retarding battery life...and may be a processor burn ....

Hi guys,
I wanted to ask you to share your settings to save your battery life.

I'm not sure if this actually increases battery life. Android uses as much CPU as it needs. Lowering the CPU may result more lag.
If you want to save battery, make sure your phone likes going into deep sleep .

Why would you overclock a 1.7GHz Quad-Core? Everyone who is doing that is probably a retard, no offence though. Since there is no reason tot overclock it, even though it's not the fastest one around anymore.
