I'm looking for market utility in CM7 environment, android 2.3.3 any help?
Minimal Google Apps (market and talk, flash via recovery, first add Google Account): http://www.mediafire.com/?jrwo3rv01z4r0tu
Other GAPPS you can download from the Market (Use Market Enabler should your country not allow full access to the market list).
same as above, but this one may be more updated by package name and size

Nice, didn't know the Rom manager option.

I would appreciate any input re adding (functioning) Android Market to a ROM
that doesn't have it depending on region!
Found it...... to add the Market to a ROM just include Vending.apk while cooking
I also needed to update build.prop under system/
There is a Google apps zip file that you have to flash if you use a Cyanogen Rom. I think they're phone specific though. But all the preinstalled Google stuff is in it.

Go into program management - market, uninstall updates; then delete updater (or marketupdater).apk in system\apps.
Should work for any ROM that doesn't start with the latest market by default. (which seems to include even the latest MIUI)

GAPPS(market, maps, gmail, gtalk) are not bundled with any CM. you gotta flash the appropriate version as separately from recovery.
GAPPS(Gtalk, Gmail, market, maps etc) are not bundled with CM7 due to copyright reasons.
Download GAPPS here and flash with recovery.

You must install the correct gapps (Google Apps) package alongside any Cyanogenmod ROM (and most other community-built ROMs). This includes the framework for associating your device to your Google account, Gmail, Market, etc.
You should be able to find the correct gapps package through ROM Manager or http://goo-inside.me/gapps

Please do your research before opening a new thread. It is a well known and commonly post fact that CM based roms don't include any Google apps.
Glad you got it sorted out though.

Hi guys,
I took off my sd card from my Samsung Galaxy Fit and when I replaced it, my Google-play app and other Google apps like Gmail and You-tube were gone!
I've not been able to download apps or watch videos on You-tube for the past one month.
I use FitDroid's custom ROM.
Download: Latest Google Play Store v3.5.16 ... search on goole
If you're on a custom Rom why don't you just download and flash g-apps with Rom Manager or something?
