Does anyone know where movies that you download on the Watch app are located. I would like to be able to place mine downloaded movies into that folder so they could show up in the Watch Widget.
Basically I want to be able to say download a video file not using the watch app but use the watch app and widget to play the videos
I could be wrong, but i think watch is streaming only.
Crap because I love how the widget looks. O well.
On mine it stores the downloaded movies to the sdcard/.data/HtcWatch/files/

Yes, you are wrong. It's "progressive downloading" meaning basically that you watch it as it downloads (giving you the same functionality as streaming but you get to keep a copy for later on without having to worry about an internet connection).

Thank you for that.
Now it seems like the only other problem is Watch can only play .mp4
Well I tried to place a .mp4 into that file location and I still can not get the file to show up in the widget. Their must be something else going on that I am not smart enough to figure out. O well.
It only reads wav or wmv I think

No if you go into that folder torseni5t posted you will see that the preloaded trailers are .mp4

I am trying to load my movies and pictures that I have onto my flyer and can't seem to get them to play or show. Is anybody else having any luck getting this done?

hm....very easy...connect Flayer to PC as Disk Drive - create a directory Video, Pictures....the you might able to see via Gallery or any file manager... take a look at the screen shoots
Double Twist worked well for me. It integrates with iTunes nicely.
However, Google Music Beta and Amazon MP3 cloud players have made local sync almost not necessary.
Thank you for the response and help. That is what i thought and basically what i did but still not able to see them or play them.

I did the drag and drop thing but still will not play movies. The movies are digital copies that you get when you buy a blueray if that matters? Also I had to extract them from my Itunes library. which is the samething i did for my music and it workes fine. I am also using mobo player. it showes me the movie just can not play it

You might have to convert the files or download an app that supports more file ranges because stock only supports a handful. I'm not sure if moboplayer does this, but you can try vplayer which I believe does.. personally I have all my movies as avi files and use vitalplayer

It's the copy protection in the digital copies. I've never been able to play digital copies on any of my Android phones because of the copy protection. Try downloading a program like DVDFab and rip your movies into M4V format and they play on Mobo Player or even the stock player just fine. If you do a search you can find a post I made a few months back about what settings to use to rip them for best quality.
Thanks for all the help

Hello all,
Wanted to share this for those with a Flyer or Evo View, I figured this out this weekend..
Movies wanting to add to HTC Watch for viewing:
You can add a movie into the folder located in the internal SD (IntSD/.data/ htcwatch/ preloads/ ) and if it has 2 names then rename it. Example: Green Lantern to Green_Lantern.mp4 If it has one name the it's just Thor.mp4
To add a poster for the film the the picture size must be 300*444 and "must" be jpeg/jpg for it to show, it also "must" be renamed the same Green_Lantern.jpg same with poster if its one name then it's Thor.jpg
I took a pic from phone to show films I added showing it works.. Enjoy!
Thanks, great information. Will add some movies soon.

My pleasure, will continue seeing what other things we can add, create, mod on this tab...
That's good, but HTC Watch doesn't work in some countries, like here in South Africa. I prefer to use Real player or CineX player to watch movies/series, & access them through the Gallery or an explorer app
I use RockPlayer on phone, Nook Color and Flyer.
Thanks for the tip. Do the movie files have to be mp4?
Moboplayer works great for me most of the time.

El Demonio
I simply use the player that comes stock, it plays 3D SBS movies just fine.
Check out the app, its not a player.

the app in question is very "questionable" its permissions require many tidbits of personal info from your phone. gps... really? not to mention, access to a lot of much more personal info such as phone serial number and phone/contacts. seems a bit fishy to me
Considering this guy can't speak English and it sounds like a shady app for pirating 3d movies or something I would avoid this at all costs.
The MPAA will kill this app in no time flat.
crackle movies

anyone know why the movies are just side by side. how do i connect the pictures. am i missing a setting somewhere
After it starts playing, press menu and hit Play in 3D.
This is a great app for anyone with 3D phones. It does freeze even when on WiFi and 4G. It will restart from the becoming if you change the orientation of you phone during the movie.
I would love to be able to download these movies as well but this not an option and will not be one from what the developer said via email
It may be pulled sooner or later but its worth the price to see one movie I think.

Hello.
I'm looking for a video application that lets you browse your phone/sdcard like a file manager and click on the video files that you want to play.
I know RockPlayer can do this but I wanted to try something else. Does anyone know an app similar to RockPlayer?
Thanks!
Try Mobo Player

Thanks, but it didn't work as I wanted it to. Basicaly I have a few videos that I do not want to show up in the defualt video app so I have put a ".nomedia" file in the folder where these videos are located.
Mobo player found all of these anyway and saved them for easy access.
RockPlayer is perfect really but I'm just fealing a little paranoid I guess, because it has the "Phone Call" permission. Why would a normal video app want to "read phone state and identity"? I'm not sure how it works.
