Unfortunately I live in italy and they do not send outside US..
Same situation here. The charging set has been out of stock for a while. I will keep an eye on it.

I had my charging cable ripped apart... Just called Asus tech support, the rep slyly suggested to me that the cable was probably defective. She said that she was elevating the case, response within 48 hours, send out a replacement for me.
Hopefully they'll get back quick with good news. Just call them and give them an excuse why you need a new one.
...maybe when they call back I'll ask if they can give me 2 or 3... ...stupid proprietary cable...

I have called the support several times and told them honestly that I have lost mine. They said that I have to buy another one and it is out of stock right now. Which kind of excuse can convince them to give me an extra one? Thanks.
Maybe I just got lucky with the rep, I did call about 2:30AM EST lol. I would try telling them that the cable you have isn't charging and that the usb connection feels loose. Thats what the rep essentially told me. I got a call back today asking for my mailing address to send out a new cable at no cost.
Good luck man, hopefully they figure it out for you.

So you don't need to mail your broken cable back to them? I thought it's the regular procedure for getting a replacement and mine is lost. I will call them late in the night and have another try. Thanks a lot.

I'm not sure when it happened but my usb port is all torn up. I have pins in there and it still charges so that's why I never noticed. I wanted to root it a few weeks ago and I noticed I would get a hardware malfunction message on my computer. I took it to a 3rd party sprint store and was told if I didn't have insurance, it was nothing they could do for me. eCare told me to visit a sprint store to get it fixed.
Does these kind of things get fixed at the store or will I get a replacement?

It's the end that goes into the phone. I'm missing the black piece that you usually see in usb slots. The only thing in there are 3 small pin connections which still charges the phone.
I just wanted to know if the repair guys in store could actually replace the port. I don't want replacement phone. I got a replacement EVO last year after the 4G crapped out and the replacement camera didn't work.
All you can do is tep.. I actually have the same exact problem right now. Went to the store and asked and all you can do is pay the deductable..

It depends if they have the hardware in the store, and if you have insurance. I had a similar issue with 2 different phones from the past same issue and one got fixed at the store and the other was replaced. Also depends what tech is in at the moment try calling in advanced and as if the tech is certified to work on devices. Or you might want to try geek squad at best buy.
You can actually call HTC. You get one replacement of all accessories including battery door, battery, USB cord and block within the first year. They sent be a free battery door just because my ring around my camera was bent a little.

My bad! I totally forgot about the question sub-board.
I talked to Sprint and they said if I visited one of their stores, the repair would cost $39 which they would credit me back. I don't have insurance on this device and I don't think I would plop down the money for it at this point.
I think i'll go to a repair center and see if it could be repaired like the CS rep said or will I get rejected again.
I also talked to a 3rd party cell phone repair store and they said it would be $75 to replace the port.
Your lucky if they will fix something small everytime I go and ask for something to be fixed that I could do my self ... They end up swappin the phone out which sucks... Even worse if the phone is brand new and 3 months old..

hi all, few weeks back my hp tp left speaker died thinking it might be rom related i flashed but to no luck tried searching for spares but cant find any i found a disassembly guide in ifixit but need a new speaker. have anyone experienced the same problem?

they will not send ua refurb, they will fix yours and give it back to you. sent it in a month ago for a bad charging port, brand new connector when i got it back. same TP tho.
if u got lucky enough to get a refurb then it likely have abetter battery than u have today. but thats super unlikely if they can just fix it. there is NO risk

Don't wait, it isn't going to get better. Report it now and arrange for it to be repaired while the connecter is still sort of working and you can remove Android.
I had the same problem and was only just able to remove Android before it totally died. I have it back now with a new part fitted and its working fine.
I cant really do that as I got mine from amazon and I'm not located in us shipping it back to usa is not practical for me if only replacement parts are available then I can diy

I'm pretty sure they have service centers internationally... Imo it's worth chatting them up while it's still under warranty and seeing if they can work something out for your situation.

So, I ended up fully bricking my Prime and have now thought about sending in to Asus for repairs.
I was wondering if anyone who had the same situation could tell me how much this would cost to be repaired from their experience. I have heard some people getting their Prime's fixed at no additional cost even though they unlocked. Are my chances good for a free repair?

I just sent mine because the screen just stopped working. i can connect it to my tv thru hdmi but the tablet screen stayed black. They received it and fixed it for free and did not even call me. I did not pay for anything. So i advise you to take your chances. This product must of received so much rma's that theyll rather fixes bricks or lightbleeds then to completely lose the customer. RISK it, send it in.

So I had an airave take a dump on me. I called Sprint and got another one sent to me. I hooked the new one up and it wasn't connecting with the network. I called to troubleshoot and they said they'd send me another one. When I woke up in the morning everything was connected and working fine, so I sent back the old defective one and called to cancel the one they were going to send me. This was back in December and I thought everything was fine till about four weeks ago. Now they are trying to charge me $300 for not returning the one that is hooked up, working, and still in use. They have no record of the defective one being sent back. In so many words I told them they will have to suck the money from my cold dead limp penis. I'm about to drop a big chunk of change on three new phones and go pre paid if I can, otherwise I'll have to sign a contract with T-Mobile and still have to drop some cheese. I'm going to call the retentions department on Monday and see if I end up raging on Sprint for the last time. Just throwing it out there to see if anyone has any advice that I haven't thought of. Fyi ball of fire has been discussed, but not ruled out.

I haven't ever been charged anything for the airave because it's been needed to be able to use their service.
It was months ago when I sent it back and don't even know where to begin with ups. At this point I don't even know which one they want money for. It was originally the one that was hooked up in my house until they found out I have it. Now they're wanting money for the one they say they haven't received. Should I file a claim with ups or would that not help at all since Sprint says there is no activity with the tracking number assigned to the return packaging. So if I dropped it off at ups and there hasn't been any activity connected with the tracking number one would think it's just sitting in the back room then.
Dude had the exact samething happen to me. I logged into sprint to pay my bill and noticed the hefty charge on there and called into customer service to see wtf. They told me the same that there was no record of the broken one being returned so they were going charge me. However, I *****ed and complained enuff that they did take the charge off my account.

Who did you talk to? What department? I'm calling retentions in the morning. Is that the department you went through? Did you have to talk about burning someone's house down or stuff about their mom? I've been dealing with this for months now and this is the last time I'm going to talk to them about this so I was wondering if there were and key words or phrases that I should use to optimize my results.
It was a person in billing. She told me that she would go ahead and remove the charge cause surely they had the old airave or it jus hadn't got updated in system yet. I guess I got lucky. I basically just *****ed how it wasn't my fault that they didn't receive it and I gave it to ups and had a receipt. Good luck man.and hope it works out for you.

Supposedly they have checked the warehouse twice and can't find it. It's probably already been fixed and sent out to their next victim.
Called retentions and I'm waiting to here back from them.
Haven't heard anything yet so they must be getting the lube ready

I have to send the one I'm using back and wait for the charges to come off then call and tell them I have bad reception so I get a new one. These people suck. I'm going back to T-Mobile in June. At least I get to wait till they make the phone I want lol
On a positive note I won't be getting charged. Advice for everyone. Do not call customer service if you have problems! They know nothing and don't have authority to do anything. I'm calling retentions from now on if I have a problem. That number for anyone that cares to know is 855-848-3280. At least the guy I talked to know what's going on and how to fix it even if it was a round about way.

They're that good. The phone is impressive by itself, but the combination of a dock that auto-enables the phone into car mode, and the quality of car mode on the phone is unparalleled.
Don't let them hose you out of the experience.

i'm on the phone with them right now. i tried to order online and they said i had to go into manual review. so when my order finished they didnt include it.
so now i chewed them out for it. then the lady sends me out a universial card dock. so i'm calling back AGAIN to make sure its the HTC dock and not some ****ty as universal one.... gawd this is annoying. hopefully once service is up and running i wont have any problems.
Both my HTC Ones came with the car dock.

I agree the Car-Mode is the best software HTC put in to this phone. I wish the main Phone app worked like the one in the Car-Mode, then I wouldn't have to use ExDialer (an enhanced clone of the dialer in Sense 1.0... and the one in Car-Mode is a limited version of that same thing).

I called customer service and explained that I pre-ordered and I had problems with the website. Well they said they didn't have any in stock, so the lady I spoke with said she made a note on my account so I could get one. Well I just got the phone on Tuesday of this week, and just today went to a retail T-Mobile store. The store didn't have any of the docks so should I call CS back and ask again?
Edit (5-6-13): I went through 12 customer service reps this morning from 8:30AM to 11:10AM before finally resolving the issue... sort of.. after getting transferred, not called back when was told i would be, disconnected, and hung up on... longest time ive ever been on the phone with CS. The last rep I spoke with gave me a $70 credit to my account and she explained she saw the one on amazon.com so she gave me the $70 for the trouble even though she had seen some for cheaper. I ordered it directly from HTC. what a godamn hassle. Next to dust off and reset my blackberry curve 8900 to send back to htc for the $100 visa gift card XD
