Hey guys..I'm read almost everything on xda but rarely post. I've been following this phone and I am very excited about the 3d. I was happy to see reviews on the sensation since it is similar to the Evo 3d. Anyway I was a little underwhelmed. It seemed like the.phone wasn't optimized very well and it was a little buggy..pinch.to zoom was buggy on some videos..the viewing angles seemed bad even when compared to older HTC devices. I hate to say it but the gs2 seems more refined. I will never buy a Samsung so it hurts to say that..one positive thing is that the hardware is terrific on these phones and with the great devs on xda I'm sure they will smooth things out..I hope I'm wrong and that maybe the.reviews I saw were no indication on the e3d performance

I seen the review at engadget and like you I'm not that impressed hopefully to evo will be different. I bought the Nexus S 4G and I love it. If the evo 3d isn't much better I'm sticking with the nexus

I'm inclined to agree. I'll have to wait and see/use the e3d before I make any final decisions. I'll definitely buy it, keeping it may be a different story.

I think that this phone has a lot if potential but it may be up to xda to get it out of it..the CPU n gpu are arguably the best currently out so it must be software issues..I mean my evo moves just as fast as a lot the the things the sensation did In the videos...I figured there would be a night and day difference..I really think the software hasn't kept up with the hardware
I don't know but I think that is where the asynchronous part of the processor comes in, one processor to handle one task while the other is waiting for its own task. That is why you probably wont see a difference until you start running a whole bunch of things. If I am somewhat correct I believe that the developers here will be able to do something about it. (Kernels). It will probably be alot better a multi tasking when you are running alot of programs.

Even better than the review is the first guys response about locked bootloaders and best yet is that HTC is "MARGINALLY" better than Samsung at looking after their customers.
That is one good looking phone though, IMO much more so than both the Evo 3D and the S2. With new hardware and software I'm not too worried about performance, using the stock software on the Evo now compared to when it was first released it's like using a completely different phone.
I definitely agree about the asychrynous cpu..a lot of these reviewers don't take that into account when saying that the sgs2 kicked the sensations ass on quadrant as well as other benchmarks.when its clear that the sensations chip is only working on one core...I'm not worried about cpu/gpu performance..I just hope the camera and qhd screen is up to snuff
Yes the sensation is def a looker..
The thing that I think is disappointing about the sensation is the design with the battery. Based on that I dont see how an extended life battery is possible which may not be a big deal for some but for the average user that doesnt do custom roms may have an issue with it if. Just my 2 cents. But the phone definitely looks good and feels even better in hand.

Except that the Sensation was winning all of the CPU benchmarks. It's the GPU where the GS2 was kicking the Sensation's ass, although the Sensation is pushing 35% more pixels.

I feel the same about my Evo, I swear its getting slower every day...I can't imagine how you guys must feel.
I had a hero a while back b4 my rooting days..I liked it at first ..but then it just got frustrating..on the other hand my evo is still really snappy..besides some graphically intensive games I still think it holds its own even vs the newer releases..the new dual core phones are the only ones that got my attention..BTW the benchmarks I was talking about was quadrant..the sensation was in the mid 2000's while the gs2 was in high 3000's. I thought that used both the cpu/gpu..that's why all those gs2 fans were user when they benchmarked the 8660 oc'd to 1.5 ghz and it whooped ass..again really don't matter unless it translates into a better user experience..
Why is it that in most reviews they never talk about battery life? To me that is one of the most important things in a phone. I want to know if I have to leave alone all day for it to last or can I use it a lot and get a day with it. I wish they would just do a real world test and review about battery life. Has anyone heard anything battery wise about this phone cuz if it's good should we expect the evo to be better
From.what I've seen it performed well as far as the battery goes..you should be able to get through an entire day with reasonable use..and your right the 3d should do better you would think with that large battery..anyone know if the screens are identicAL on these phones?

I'm just asking what reviews are you basing this off of? I haven't seen one video, or review that was with the final product yet. Even the Video when the pphone was 1st announced, which I seem to think are some of the best they even say that it's far from finished. So unless someone knows someone that has a final product in their hand I think this is a little premature.

... would this still be the phone to get over the SGSII? I'm not talking about sense vs touchwiz, i'm talking about raw power. How would the two phones compare running a stable nearly identical CM7? Can anyone (NO BIAS please) explain to me which phone has better capabilities?
I know I'm getting WAYY ahead of myself, but i'm still deciding IF HTC responded to their customers and unlocked the bootloader if I would get the EVO 3D or still wait for the SGSII, considering I'm sticking with either one for the next two years.
I've heard people say the SGSII has better raw power-- on the SGSII forum
I've also heard the some of you on this forum say the EVO 3D is better. Obviously, there is some bias involved and one phone is more powerful than the other.
I actually have some hope that HTC might do something about the bootloader. If this is the case, I have a really tough decision on which phone to still get. As for now, if the bootloader remains unlocked, its SGSII all the way

seriously why does it even matter? Say one phone is faster than the other. The specs are so close together that any speed difference would barley even be noticeable on a side by side. The difference would be nothing if you didn't have both phones in hand.
Really I think the biggest difference would be the UI, so debate sense vs touchwiz
Why does it matter what phone is faster?? Well thats a stupid question

No, it's a valid question and jessejames makes a very good point ... the specs are so close that any speed difference would be negligible from a user standpoint, especially if you're not actually doing a side-by-side comparison.
I'd even go so far as to say that the effective data rate differences between the various 4G transmission standards will have significantly more of an effect on apparent phone response times in many applications than any actual benchmark differences between the two phones.
I feel like the EVO 3d isn't much of an improvement over the EVO. Downgrade in camera department and no full 1080p recording. And still skimping on internal storage...not sure if the 3d screen is worth losing those other features....
I think ima wait for the sgs2 since the EVO 3d is the same as my EVO with a 3d screen and slightly better performance
After seeing the sgs2 vs HTC sensation it makes me wonder about the snapdragon processor....it doesn't compare in those performance test

Bump the processing power from 1Ghz to 1.2Ghz then double it, double the ram, bump the resolution to qHD, shoot 1080p in 2D, 720p in 3D, and that's not much of an upgrade from the original EVO?

I do believe you are just misinformed. The EVO is the Sensation just with 3d added. They both have a SLCD qhd display. Also, just because the Sensation's camera is 8mp does not mean it is better. The EVO is 8mp and the camera is much worse then many other phones that are 5mp.
You need to do some more research as far as MP's are concerned as well as the comparing the Sensation to the EVO 3d.
I believe I was very nice with my response. Other's might not be this kind to you. lol

Your basing camera quality on MPs. That's your first mistake, HTC has stated the camera on the E3D is much improved over the original evo. Why? Better lens, hardware, etc. MPs don't matter as much as you would like to believe. The 5MP camera on the iPhone is a perfect example. More on board storage would be nice but with 32GB mSD available and 64GB on the way I'm not too worried about it. Storage has never been an issue for me in the past and it won't be in the future.

OP, its going to come down to personal preference. Both of these phones have monstrous specs and will perform quote similarly. They both have rock star CPUs and GPUs and will be very closely matched in performance.

If you are even familiar with the actual specs--which it sounds like you definitely are not--then you have absolutely no understanding of what they mean.
This phone is a beast. Any performance difference between the two will be negligible bone-stock and even more negligible modded to the teeth.
Tell us, what did they "skimp out" on? The asynchronous dual core 1.2gHz cpu? The kick-ass new adreno gpu? the qHD screen that just so happens to also do 3D? A GIGABYTE of ram? Over a certain amount internal storage means absolutely nothing to anybody who knows better, and Evo3D is far past this amount.
Not to mention HTC build quality and dev community (now with official mfgr support). I would accuse you of holding specs in too high a regard over other more important things...but I don't think you even understand the specs enough to be doing that.
Someone gave you some koolaide and you drank it. You love koolaide.

This is yet another portion of your mis-information. You realize the two screens have differing resolutions, correct? Not a little difference either, but a vast 35% pixel difference. The Adreno 220 is I believe more powerful then the SGS2's gpu, but is also doing 35% more work with the higher pixel count that qHD brings to the table.
Also, pure processing tests did not show the sensation as weaker, it got what, 46MFLOPS? Not to mention the dual core is much more efficient on battery life then the tegra2 was.
Your points are all invalid as you simply don't include all the variables that create the differences.
Edit: I want to add my post was not meant as a defense of the E3D, as I'm personally seriously considering the SGS2 solely for its slenderness. But when you see posts that full of one sided information and wrong conclusions it's only natural to respond.
I know I'll get a bunch of flamers for this and that's to be expected but after having this phone for a lil over a week now, I'm just not as impressed as I thought I would be. Idk, maybe not being able to flash ROMS & do some of the same things I could with my Evo & Epic, but this phone isn't all that mind blowing like I thought it would be. It's defitinely faster/quicker, I can't take that away from it, but thats about it. The screen difference isn't all that noticibale when compared to the OG Evo and still not as crisp or vibrant as the Epic imo. The camera is a improvement but also not by much. 3D is a fad, much like 3D TV's are. I think a Retina-like screen would have been a better feature. The new Sense is nice but it didn't add much over the previous one, plus we had it on the OG Evo. I'll probably keep it anyway and just upgrade my Epic to the GSII or Nexus Prime if they come to Sprint, but just wanted to see if there is anybody else out there who feel like I do.

To each their own - I for one love it, and am VERY happy that I ditched that Damn iPhone for the Droid (have a Xoom as well). Im not really sure I see the need to post that you dont like the phone, like anything in the world - Some people will like it and some wont. You cant argue the overall power of this phone, the 3D is cool - but this phone is worth it if you dont use it for 3D at all.... My Wife loves her too - So much that shes going make me live with the damn Sprint Data speeds, she refused to take her 3D back.
You went from an already fast phone, to a dual core version of the same phone with added RAM and a 3D capable screen (in a nutshell). You wouldn't see a major difference. It's like going from a 2 GHz PC to a 3 GHz PC. Sure you have two cores available now, but for your standard functionality, you won't see much of a change. And comparing it to a super AMOLED screen, well, the phone's specs were published beforehand. I never quite expected it to be as crisp as my Wife's Epic, but I love it anyhow.
For me, buying this phone was a hardware upgrade. 3D is a nice extra. Also, I sold my Evo just prior to launch of the 3D for more than enough to buy the phone w/accessories, so why not?
Now, if you were coming from a Hero or something of that nature, then of course the upgrade would be night and day.
I'm very impressed. But I'm coming from a Hero that I hated from day 1, not an EVO 4G. I agree that 3D still seems gimmicky and hurts my eyes after a while but I'm even slowly starting to like it more too.
I've had over 5 single core 1ghz phones
Two of whitch had AMOLED screens
(vibrant and nexus s) and I don't like the fake "vibrant" colors that LED screens have..
And a dual core. (G2X)
I agree with not "feeling" the power for the extra core.. but I also disagree because its the future... Ice cream in Q4 baby!

I understand the OP. I'm 50/50 whether I keep it or return for SGS2. It's going to sit deactivated until I decide. My fully rooted OG EVO with a custom ROM is preferable to the 3D right now.
But yeah, for months of build up it was kind of a let down from the OG EVO although I think that's our fault. It's very relative. I was hoping for a great camera and now I don't trust HTC...meh.
I'm really liking this phone. The battery life is good, the display is nice, as great horsepower. I get this strange popping every once and awhile when using the headphone jack... But other than that, I'm liking things in HTC Country. I stayed in Samsungville for over a year, I'm not going back for even a more powerful phone.
I agree with the OP. My OG was amazing. The resolution on the Inspire or EVO may be less but the screens are better on the eyes when it comes to the displaysize. The 3D is terrible. Maybe they should call it holographic because it reminds me of old holographic baseball cards. It's quick but, so was my CM7 EVO. Sense 3.0 is meh, I enjoy the new lockscreen widgets. Although I do enjoy the bloatware removal, better battery life, and task manager. I'm debating an SGS2 for a change.

The 3d doesn't look like a hologram unless you move your display to a different angle..
It's a "glasses off 3d" technology If you knew anything about 3d you would know that you need 3 view points to produce and view 3d in the proper form it was intended...

faster than most
Don't get me wrong. I'm not bashing the phone in any way. It's definitely faster and a nice upgrade from my OG Evo. I guess its like somebody else posted, I let my expectations get the better of me. The speed is undeniable, granted I never tried CM or any of the other AOSP ROMS long enough to compare speed/quickness but Myn's, Virus' & Mik's ROMS were pretty fast to me. The 3D is ok if your into that stuff but its a gimmick at best. I own a 3D TV & maybe have watch 2 or 3 movies in 3D. Got it because of the clarity & beauty of the LED. 3D was a extra. Now if they had added a Retnia or comparable screen then we would have something to talk about but this screen isn't any noticeably better than the screen on the OG Evo. Battery life is better than the OG Evo had at its launch but once I got my 3500 Seidio & SBC kernel, battery life didn't matter. I got 2 days on a single charge. Can't really bring Sense into it because we have Sense 3 on the OG Evo also. I guess maybe once we get full root & S-Off and can start really unlocking what the phone can do, my opinion will change but right now its not any better, actually below the OG Evo in functionality & fun. Imo right now I don't see anything this phone does any better than its predecessor.

Coming from the Hero, this is a HUGE upgrade. Compared to my wife's OG Evo....not so much, until you look 6 months down the road. I think then we'll see the OG Evo's shortcomings. As the apps get bigger and graphically better and we have custom roms running on the 3D I think it will really seperate itself from all of it's predecessors.

I hope you realize what you're saying about the screen..
"Retina Display" = Apple's name for a 960x540 resolution. The reason it looks a little better is because it's more pixels crammed into a smaller screen.
I'd take a 4.3 over it anyday.
I came from the Epic, and really really like both phones. I really don't think you can go wrong with either.
I see a lot of people hate the Evo 3D .....why? Alot of people are trading them for the Photon and i don't understand y.....

The reason I keep hearing is the updates. I dunno personally, I got mine on launch day and never did a update. The other thing I suspect is most best buy/radioshack think it dosn't have hdmi out. Mostly I think it is poor salesmen who think the only feature of the phone is the 3d.
It is what it is.... People have their own reasons for not liking the evo 3d just like anything else. You got your evo 3d so just have fun with it.
It's the tech-train playa. People come and go so they can stay on the cutting edge of hardware progression. It was the same when I was with the Hero.

I think its because htc did a terrible job of marketing the evo. For example, the evo3d is to the og evo as the iphone 4s is to the iphone 4. Maybe even a little more if a step up with screen resolution. Htc shouldve used the 3d selling point like apple uses SIRI. People thought the only reason to get the new evo was for the 3d feature. I do love 3d but the first time u see a 3d pic it is taboo and people never gave it that second look. I think they should have went the evo 2 route and when people went to buy it they would be like "it can do 3d also? Wow!" Apple had lines out of their store because they sold a upgraded phone with a bonus cool feature IMO.

If that's the case, you wouldn't know it. The problem is, even with the dual core processor, the extra ram, etc, I still see tons of lag throughout the OS, in all apps. HTC should have spent more time tweaking Sense for speed and smoothness. The only place where the 3D really shines over the 4G is when using pinch to zoom in the browser, or in photos. I notice a huge difference there.
As far as working on the user experience, I think Samsung has done a fantastic job with their Touchwiz. Like it, or hate it, the menus are butter smooth, and it's almost impossible to find a spot where their devices lag.
Same with Motorola. I have noticed a little lag when using the photon, but the phone feels better in hand, and their "blur" interface isn't as resource intensive as Sense is.
I really like the 3D, but compared to the Evo 4G, or even other dual core beasts from motorola/samsung/etc, it just isn't the upgrade the 4G users were looking for. I'm hoping the ICS update (I plan on rooting, and installing a vanilla rom) will clear up any lag with the device, and make it run like it should have from the beginning.
Now, I'm going to go nag HTC to streamline sense, to make it run more smoothly.

I agree with u on the whole sense pulling to much from that phone making it lag.it suppose to b a beast but yet it doesn't feel near as quick or sharp as let say et4g or photon.I believe that's another reason it gets passed up.n the 3d camera is kool but when it comes down to it u can't share 3d pics with non 3d phones n so it just basically a 5mp camera with a dual core that feels sluggish cause of sense.
So people just overlook its features cause I believe it doesn't feel like the great phone that it is.I hope when they make the new evo they will make it king of the hill with a better optimized sense.

I dont see where people feel lag on the evo3d. After about a month of using a evo3d, downgrading back to a evo4g or nexus is almost unbearable. As for the photon, that UI feels laggy straight out of the box. As for sense, the real world doesnt like plain android. This is why everyphone has something covering it up. The evo3d is a powerhouse, so is the epic touch. I guess u can say the newer sg2s are to since they are about the same as the 3d.

Photon's radio (phone, not FM) is much better than E3D's. Where I get 1 bar on 3D, Photon got 4.....that's a MAJOR reason to switch!!!
I never liked the feel of the EVO4g or the low screen resolution. Phone never felt good to me. I love the 3d because of the tall screen and the qhd and fast processor. I kept my hero when I got my 1 year upgrade on sero because I did not like the EVO4g. And I was the first person to get a consumer hero shipped from Sprint
Sense blows, I run viperrom with adw in the foreground and after a while sense turns itself off

I honestly think it all depends on the phone you had previously. I had a samsung entro, which was just a regular qwerty texting phone. Upgrading to the evo 3d blew my mind. The entro took about 30 mins to boot up, my evo take 20 seconds.

True, the photon does have a great radio but bars dont mean anything. My evo4g lokks like it gets better signal than my 3d but i can stream youtube on the 3d and can even gwt a video pic on my 4g.

I just rolled w/ the Photon for a week and I hated every second of it.
The phone runs stupidly; even w/ the removal of Blur and such; you CANNOT remove all the Moto crap without crippling your phone (see: contact fcs after you try and remove yahoo bullcrap); and the feeling of the phone in hand is pretty lackluster. Along w/ that there are just so many little software issues; glitches in the UI, glitches in the Radios (my phone liked to go into International Roaming at random), too much work to do the simplest tasks (see: using the stock gallery/music apps), etc.
Overall, sense aside, I am MUCH happier with the Evo 3D; too bad about all the hardware issues I've come across (see: 4 Evo 3D exchanges since launch). Hoping this little guy will last me until the next big thing pops out of the water. I was really thinking of hopping over to the ET or the iP4S but there's too many incongruencies w/ my habits of phone use and those devices.
Really, I'm putting my all of my faith in the Devs to step up to the plate and get some fully-working AOSP goodness on this beast.
Also, once ICS (stock) comes out we SHOULD get an upgraded Sense (even 3.5 would be a major upgrade to this bloated-ass 3.0) so I'm hoping that happens sooner rather than later.
tl;dr - People hate this phone because Sense sucks at life and because of the hardware build/quality of parts (camera, radio, screen, BUTTONS!).
:3 -two cents
People that hate evo 3D hate out of ignorance.
Let them hate.... 3d has some legit specs. flash miui and watch it fly....
Hi all,
I have won an iphone 4 16gb from a lottery and i think i'll get it in second half of january. As you imagine i'll sell it and buy a high end android device. I absolutely want to buy evo 3d because of its ram but here someone offers me sensation. In Turkey, evo 3d is about $100-150 cheaper than sensation. I know evo has more ram than the other. So it should be faster because they have the same cpu and gpu... But why is this cheaper and why does somebody say it isn't really that fast? Please help me to persuade myself to get an evo
By the way, goodbye desire z
Sent from my HTC Vision using xda premium
I don't know who told you the Evo 3D "isn't really that fast" but...
1.2ghz dual-core cpu stock (mine is OC'ed to 1.5ghz) Snapdragon S3
1gb RAM
And the Adreno 220 GPU
Although those are just specs that anyone can look up, they're on par with almost every other highend smartphone out there right now. I'm running an experimental ICS rom and it's smooth as ****. It's not even in the final stages yet, so that says something.
It's cheaper because it didn't sell as anticipated.
I've gotten 4500 quads and linpack scores topping 108+ so yeah not that fast.
Wtf.
No its fast as hell and will do some serious multitasking with a gig of ram. Most evo 3ds can handle an overclock up to 1.782ghz the fact alone that the factory1.2ghz clock speed is actually detuned from the factory specs of 1.5ghz so technically "overclocking" to 1.5 is pretty damn near not overclocking.
I would say go for the 3d if you want the better phone.
Sent from my ice cream covered SCH-I500 using Tapatalk
With Root and OC cpu I get around 95-105 mflops on cpu and if I really crank it up around 3300+ on quad standard scores. It is super fast

Sensation has a much better camera, and is thinner. But the extra ram does make the 3d feel much faster. Atleast when I played with them both I didn't think the sensation felt any faster than my epic 4g, but I noticed quite a difference when I used the 3d. Both stock of course when I played with them. If you need a really clear camera then its the sensation you need. Other than that the 3d is the way I went because I have sprint, and because it seamed so much quicker.

Yesterday i visited a technology market a had a chance to try evo 3d. Unfortunately i couldn't find a wifi network so couldn't install any 3d game to play... Everything was ok with its stock rom but i want to have a red back side although they have yellow back side

Having both of these phones myself, I have to say that at this moment in time the sensation has better rom's which give better performance than the EVO3D, which is a shame because i always thought the evo would spank the sensation, and on paper it does, but the user experience so far with the evo has been disappointing on the evo when compared to the sensation, i don't do benchmarks because quite frankly it doesn't mean ****, the user experience is everything and from what i've seen the evo has a little bit of catching up to do.
I've still got 11 days to return my evo and get either a galaxy nexus or an XL, I'm a fan of HTC Sense so i am dragging my heels on switching devices, i just hope the dev's can pull out the roms which the guys doing the sensation have.
I'm running Insert Coin at the moment, probably the fastest sense rom on the sensation, alas it doesn't seem to cut the mustard on the EVO, my DHD is smoother than this with only one core.
I've unlocked both cores and i'm using the anthrax kernel v2.
If you want to know what i mean, then just swipe the carousel around and right at the end you will see jitters and stuttering, the sensation doesn't do this, if the evo was as smooth as the sensation is then it would be a no brainer, but at the moment it's just not the case.
Oh and for anyone about to say putting a senseless rom on their evo is smooth, well yea it is, but i didn't buy the evo to live without sense, i could have got a galaxy nexus for that.

In short, the EVO is a better phone, however if you plan to flash a rom, which i think you will, then at the moment the sensation is ahead, but that will probably change.

Hardware wise, Evo3D trumps Sensation. It's just how it was marketed.
During that time, this section was flooded with assholes who were arguing newer phones like the sgs and other non-related phones with superior specifications and ROM support that it kind of killed it's tractions here (not excluding the babies who kept killing dev support here because of there constant demands for things they had no right to push since they weren't helping with the code).
On the outside, it was the best at release, but the competitors were selling their latest phones that weren't even available, and the end results was that people waited for them.
So now you see them trying to get rid of there stock in preparation for the next big thing. I still love my phone. I came from the Hero and knew what specs I was looking for. If we could get ICS running on that little machine, my horizon for this phone was, and still is, grand. It's capabilities will last me well into the next phase of phones until I'm forced to get a new one that will accommodate the new change in cellular frequencies.
the Evo 3d would be great coming from the DHD, IMO,
I just got my 3d a coupole months ago, upgraded from the original EVO 4G, I could have gotten any phone, or even waited for some of the new ones im sure sprint will release in the next 3ish months, and I am completely satisified, I find my phone to be rediculously fast, It takes whatever i throw at it with ease, especially when I have anthrax kernels.
And I feel like once the 3D officially gets ICS, things are just going to get faster and smoother..

Read this this morning, thought it was a great, unbiased comparison. Great read for anyone on the fence with the two devices.
Overall, it cemented my choice for the Evo 4g LTE....well it was already guaranteed, but it is a nice article for the people who are not so sure.
Just got my EVO yesterday and also pre-ordered a gs3 with $50 giftcard to bestbuy. I really like the EVO but may switch to the gs3. I have 30 days to try it out.

Updated, thanks for the heads up.
I think the phone is great, easily topping the iphone 4s and galaxy nexus (both of which I have owned). It is easily the best phone I have owned. I highly recommend it.
Jelly Bean will only make it better in the future.
The Evo LTE is has a better display and a physical camera button. The only real performance spec the galaxy s3 has over it is a extra gig of RAM and a slightly bigger battery by 100mAh. So if I was you i would pick the phone you think looks best, since both have a good custom rom community and specs.
Essentially the HTC really would get better batterylife based off slcd vs amoled plus HTC generally has better signal quality. And honestly would the extra ram ever be used
That extra 1 gig of ram would be nice for multitasking but 1 gig is enough and is not the reason the lte sucks at it, its HTCs fault. Hopefully we get a fix soon as thats the only thing that leads me to wanting the s3, but the screen and sense is whats keeping me on the lte. Come on HTC fix multitasking!
Sent from my HTC EVO 4g LTE
The one gig of ram appears to be a marketing strategy.
The guy in phone arena even states that the evo 4g with sense 4.o performed slight better, whereas the GSIII stumbled from time to time.
nice and unbiased comparison. Funny how it just so happens the evo beats it in every category.
Samsung guys:
2gb of ram... OMG! Except the Evo had better scores on all benchmark tests. Also they noticed lag on the galaxy.
bigger battery... OMG! While samsung claims it will last two hours longer. In our testing the evo lasted longer.
Just full of lol. Hey guys, I have like 2 days left to swap my phone out.. I dont know.. I just really wanna go swap out for this other one, that looks and feels cheaper, and loses in every category tested against my evo. Sounds awesome right, I'm sure I'll love it!

Your right evo did win in a lot of categories...but the reviewer gave the GSIII plus where it deserved them...such as software features.
He didn't call a clear winner...because they are both great phones.
If you don't agree with the review, great, did explain why. But please avoid this thread in the future if your going to "pretend" to be an idiot in your response.

Maybe....and if that is the case then I apologize.
Often time on xda, people come and post such things in order to ruin a good conversation/debate....and such post often lead to a flame war.
Again, I apologize if that was his intention.
I may have poked fun at the samsung guys a bit, but was all in good fun. ( I thought it was kinda funny)
Really was a good comparison, I can send it to everyone on the fence, or to re-affirm to the ones that have already made their purchase.
When I personally make a recommendation they may remain on the fence, so it's good to have a site back you up on everything you've been forcing down peoples throats for a couple months.
I have been with HTC for over 3 years.. First with ATT with the Inspire and now with Sprint EVO LTE and I have to say is that I will always own an HTC phone.. I have rooted all my HTC phones and they work great on and off the root. The camera on the EVO is great. The Internet Speed is fast. I live in Atlanta and soon will get LTE in a few weeks and can't wait to see what happens... GO WITH THE EVO...
